    It's 1.5.0.3

There's nothing wrong with it but the fact that we cannot complete "The Glorious Dead" achievement, and that we have no new information about the NAZG achievement.

Someone told that he unlocked "The Glorious Dead" by reinstalling and doing it again, but I'm not sure I want to do all the diseases in brutal and unlock all the perks again... Anyone solved that?

I have Android 1.5 and never had any trouble with TGD or any achievement besides NAZG. I paid. $.99 and got all of the genes and upgrades by playing the game over and over. It was the best dollar I've ever spent.
The developer seems (from what I've read here) to be very helpful. For anyone having problems, I'm sure he would help fix any problems.

I also want to mention that time I had a containment breach trying to get NAZG, I had just devolved SG right before. I think it's connected somehow too.

Anyone been reading about MERS? Weird.

I also unlocked The Glorious Dead in-game, but I can't unlock it in the new Google Play Games achievements feature. It auto-unlocked all the trophies with the update, except NAZG (because I don't have it), and The Glorious Dead (because... I don't know why!)

I was reading some apple store reviews and read that the last update ruined the game by forcing gamers to buy a ton of IAPS to play with a bunch of features like new viruses and genes etc. Is this true? If it is, is the game still worth taking a look at now that it is an IAP funfest?

I don't know who told you that, but it is untrue.

The only IAP in this game is to get stuff that you unlock by playing anyway. It is a shortcut, nothing else.

This game is amazing, and definitely worth your look.

Android has a free version, but you still have to buy the game (99 cents) to benefit from being able to unlock all IAPs by just playing

IOS the game only comes in a buy version (99 cents) and all the IAPs are unlockable by just playing.

You can buy the IAPs as a shortcut but don't have too. I have the IOS version, and have all the Genes, cheat, Neurax and Necroa diseases without paying anything extra.

There was a bug back in March when the reviews were posted, it has since been fixed. Ignore the reviews and download the game. The developer is always reading this forum and has been the best to respond to issues that I know off.

Take note James, you are losing fans because of NAZG. Release an update soon or post a hint in this forum.

I think it's something like 2 months since the last time I played PlagueInc.

Thing is, I got so bored with Nazg that even if it's fixed, I'll complete it and still remain bored...

I doubt my interest will respark before the next disease update. :(

I know James is busy hiring a new person, but if an update isn't issued soon more and more people will become disinterested.

Some may not even re spark their interest even for a new disease, especially if it is "more of the same"

The initial implementation of NAZG was Nasty, to quote James. Fair enough, it is now time to fix it. I know James is responding to prompts on the Ndemic facebook page, haven't seen anything from him in this forum for a while.

    Hi

Hi, I'm relatively new to this game - I've been playing compulsively for a couple of weeks now. I've unlocked all the achievements apart from one. No prizes for guessing which!

I haven't been playing for that long, so I'm not that fed up with trying to figure out nazg yet. Is there a list of strategies that we can absolutely rule out? For example, the classic case of infecting everyone before going for lethality seems to be ruled out in principle - not enough lethality to kill everyone before the cure (even with infinite DNA cheats, by the sound of it).

If we had a definite list of strategies that'll never work, brought together in one place, it could save time for anyone wanting to work on this.

I've been reading through many pages of this thread, btw. A lot of really great guides and impressive scores from everyone.

    Oh, I was also wondering about this;

    http://plagueinc.wikia.com/wiki/Not_Another_Zombie_Game

It reads as if written by someone who actually managed the achievement ... but it's incredibly vague. I wondered if the developer had some input into it, or just some random person bluffing with this non-advice.

It reads to me like someone saying what it is. There is no indication, or claim to have done the achievement, no method or detailed steps.

    Agreed

Let me add my voice. Been playing for months, but have stopped due to NAZG frustration. This forum had been invaluable to completing all the other achievements. James...don't push your luck. Losing interest. Please post a hint and all is forgiven :)

Yes, but isn't it implicit? I mean, how can some give very general advice about "balancing transmission traits" or whatever, if they don't even know this will help with NAZG?

    It's called waffle, bluff.

I could write it, but I don't know how to do NAZG

Balancing transmission traits is a basic strategy, to many and you waste points and increase mutation chance and they hinted about avoiding mutating CR

Agreed. The problem is, all the usual basic strategies have been tried for NAZG, and none of them come close to working. I suspect the solution will turn out to be so counter-intuitive that everyone has thought it too misguided to even try it.

I've been experimenting using only symptom traits to spread the plague, with the idea of kill-as-you-spread like the Bio-weapon. Again, not even close to nazg victory. Nothing that seems like a reasonable strategy leads anywhere. I'm betting this will be obscure and bizarre.

Damn. It seems the game is... hemorrhaging fans because of this practically unachievable achievement.
