so much fuss over $0.99. That is all I've paid (for the full game), every disease add-on and all the modified gene codes I've earned by playing. Given how much I have and still do play it, it is the best value for money game on the market IMHO.
Nothing has been changed to my knowledge. You pay the 99 cents for the game itself, and if you want to play the extra mutations without having to beat everything on brutal, you pay again to unlock them. It's been that way since I started playing. I opted to unlock everything by playing the game, rather than paying. It is not overly difficult to do either, especially with all the posts guiding you in this thread alone. I'm not sure how it works on android but that's how it is for me on my iPhone.
Agreed, it's a bargain, but you'll always get some teenagers who don't have access to do so or would get grief if they did.
Greedy? for charging $1 for an ad-free app that has massive replayability? not sure why we should be entitled to free stuff... There is a massive time commitment required to create apps, and this one has obviously has made a lot of us happy. Might be time to consider 'the bigger picture' on this one, rather than stamping your feet and screaming "ME WANT". I have been reading the forum for a few weeks, and it has helped me immensely with the achievements. Thanks to everyone for being so open and helpful with their discoveries/summaries. Hope we get somewhere with NAZG soon. Given the lack of progress, there must be some start point ala Origins that we haven't stumbled across yet.
Not to mention most "free" games out there are ad-laden nightmares full of in-app purchase game mechanics. Plague Inc is definitely one of the old guard of solid 99 cent apps, it's a dying breed. I recommend it as often as I can.
This whole thing have been a misunderstanding on my part. (Looked carefully at the app store's description and realized) I didnt mean to fuss over teh 99 cents, since i think the dev deserves much more than this. I was just questioning over what i thought and the facts. my apologies to people angering over what i had said.

It could be an origin start, remaining combos are saliva 1 plus saliva 2, cold or blood. Equally because it is not zombies then the combos doesn't have to involve saliva at all, e.g zoonotic and heat or cold or drug, it could even be three low cost aspects, and we have to use ATP boost to get enough DNA fast enough. Then the big question, which of the many countries to start in? I am clueless as to how to progress.
This is getting us nowhere.. I thought about blood 1&2 and when they conduct national blood tests devolve them. The thing is without any symptoms it's hard to get enough dna. Also evolved as fast as i could acute encephalites and devolved the rest hoping that it will help. No success whatsoever..I'm out of clues
I think just about everybody believes there is some sort of event/trigger sequence like the origin's have, but without clues as to the profile of that trigger we are "swimming in treacle". I really thought Mkesaber's guide to getting spalin to threaten was on to something, but without an equivalent of paralysis in Necroa she is always arrested. Apologies...it was early when I typed that. What I meant was that when attempting a NAZG run I seem to have a more rapid buildup of DNA when starting in Mexico. This rapid buildup of DNA with relatively few people in Mexico infected seems to provide the most flexibility in evolving different combinations. So...by "best" I mean the most infected and most killed. Usually only 10MM or so healthy left on the planet and 1.5B dead before the cure catches me. I have not been successful at NAZG. Thanks to all on this board for their work on the achievements.
Yes I see what you mean about Mexico. Other than NAZG are you missing any achievements? Because I like the hide and infect method, my start country is Bolivia, sometimes Eygpt or West Africa. When doing a speed run I start in Eygpt or China.
fast forward what happen to my fast forward button? it is not working anymore, is it a new bug? i use android, plague v 1.5.
i downloaded the game for free. never paid a penny, unlocked every disease just by winning on brutal, so i don'y know why you're having that problem. maybe try android?
i figured because of all the left 4 dead references, NAZG was a dig at Dead Island. if that theory is correct, i'm thinking New Ginuea should be the starting point???? on a side note, im noticing that the necora virus insists on having at least one symptom at about 3 billion people infected, devolving to zero symptoms is futile (and expensive)
Interesting theory BTW, drug 1, gene hard and gene shuffle 1 and 2 combined with base oxidisation gene and some luck will get you to 100% infected (eventually) Works every time on brutal, no need for the luck just add heat 1 and cold 1. Still need base oxide gene though.
