To be more specific, you have to jump on the big rock once he tries to get that one out. He stays the same for a few seconds and the throws it up. So time it right. Funny enough, the boss is the easiest part of the whole game
Buying it at US$2 makes me feel like I'm stealing it - but glad I bought it at last. It brings a huge smile to my face - the best platformer on the...err, platform Retrotastic without being a ripoff; the SNES game that never was. Lots of polish and great value. Really hope we see more levels and in time, a sequel. Thinking about grabbing their other game too.
I've been on the last level for the last 3 weeks, and it took me about 4 days to get through level 3-3... i love that it's difficult... means that this app won't just get a run through, then deleted, never to be played again...
Sounds very different to the perceived 30 minute length! I am struggling a bit on the 2nd level haha Let's face it, this is probably our own Mario - the closest we will get and all we need hopefully the dev pumps out more levels and games with the character. I believe he has the potential to establish Pizza Boy as a mascot Apple use to promote the platform.
Played the firs 4 levels. This game is damn good. It has the best jumping of any platformer on the iPhone.
Yay i just beat it!!! But I guess right when the credit's music started... the screen went black and it crashed back to my homescreen... has this happened... or does this keep happening to anyone else?
Best platformer in the AppStore. Amazing! Just bought it today and worth every measly penny I payed for it!
freaking awesome platformer. Only thing that bothers me is the loud music while playing wiith earphones.
I was obsessed with this game for a while but got to the point where I deleted it for the simple fact there are no checkpoints. It just sucks making it almost to the end of a level only to start at the beginning over and over again. I agree, it is one of the best platforms on the app store but it is in desperate need of CHECKPOINTS!!!
Pizza Boy is a traditional Mario-style platformer with no checkpoints and about 5 minutes to finish each level. Ready Action is more bite-sized with only 30 seconds per level and different characters to play as. Both are good and fun, but if you want a more challenging old-school Mario-type game, I'd get Pizza Boy.
