Soosiz is a great example of how these buttons should be, as it is one of the best platformers on the iPhone.

I have to concur. No matter how I love the style of this game, it's intensely frustrating to play. I don't know for sure that it's the button spacing, though it seems a pretty good place to start. Given the sheer number of control-pad alternatives I'm kind of surprised there aren't options. Swipe-and-hold, tilt (ew?) etc. Surely there's something, short of a real pad, that'd make this game as fun to play as look at?

Am I the only one that has no problem at all controlling the game?

The only thing I'd change would be more space for the left arrow, and a flip-screen option.

Nope. I don't have any problems with it as it is now.

P.S - This got 4 on STP. Good stuff.

I've always preferred a stick to a DPad but hey, I don't always get my way.

No issues with the controls here either, and agreed on the flip-screen orientation too.

I don't think the controls are as bad as a lot of people believe, but they do need work. I just think they should be made larger. I think that would solve most, if not, all of the problems stated here, including the few I have. Fantastic game, nevertheless.

The controls are okay, but sometimes they are a little unresponsive. Mostly I want flip-screen orientation; the current way it is seems backwards.

The controls could be better. Closer positioning of jump and fire buttons would improve the gaming experience quite a lot.
The iPhone 3G bug is still there. The game always run properly on a second attempt. It crashes on the first one every single time... Otherwise good game.

    Australia, mate!
I'm planning to get this game, but I've heard that it has control problems. If this is the case, does it make the game unplayable? As in, do people struggle to get past a particular stage of the game because of the controls?

No not at all the controls are fine. But the game it is amazing and feels complete as is, controls are responsive, gameplay is addictive, and it all has a great polish and style. If it interests you buy it.

the controls button placement issue was mostly being mentioned.
IMHO the controls ARE a bit quirky.
But if you fail this game, it´s rather because of you than the controls.

I'm one of the people who complained about the controls, but only that they're squished a little to far to the left (my iPod is in a case.)

I will vouch that the game's controls are responsive and spot on, and the game is a total blast to play. You won't regret this one for a buck.

PS> Bulkypix, please please please give me some way to play Badaboo without adds! Thank you!
