I’ve been waiting since the announcement in the upcoming games category, and it’s finally here. Although, it just exceeded my expectations. It looks gorgeous, but mostly it plays wonderfully! And it’s challenging. But landscape and portrait? Game Center achievements and leaderboards? And $0.99 IAPs? I thought those are going to be at $5 range. INSTA-BUY! It slightly heats up my device, but it doesn’t bother me. My only question and concern is going for rankings. Do I lose rank if I suck at certain course? And if so, will I lose access to higher courses if my rank isn’t enough? Just please tell me I can be as bad as I want but once I reach certain rank, I won’t lose it again. Pretty please? ———- EDIT: I’m already killing it on Pro courses as it turned out I’m obviously an exceptional golfer! So to answer myself, luckily we’re not losing ranks in case of a bad luck. Yay! Luckily I didn’t smash my iPad against the wall, didn’t give up and managed to win the course despite that terrible outcome at Hole 6. I know it’s golf and everything, but still: do-overs would be highly appreciated - especially in situations like these. Anyway, I’ll have my revenge on that palm tree that blocked my way and caused me such trouble! ——- EDIT: same day, different course. Is Hole 6 cursed somehow? Or is it just me? That’s exactly the word I was looking for. On an unrelated note. Here’s the scenario: I’m doing amazing. I’m about to finish the course, there’s a $1.000.000 price money in stake. Before walking up to the 18th hole my heart is racing like crazy. At this point I’d like to take break, calm myself down. But my only options are “quit” and “continue”. So, my question to the dev is: do I lose my progress if I decide to quit? Or do I pick up the game exactly where I left? Because if not, the save option would be a much appreciated feature. I didn’t have the guts to try quitting to see for myself. So I’m just asking... Oh, spoiler alert: I’ve won that US course and the money (not that I need them as there’s nothing to spend them on) and I’m currently in the Majors. What a great little golf game! I bought the remove ads for $1 but can’t see unlocking all equipment as that’s a big part of the fun for me.
