Looked through a few pages and didn't see anything about it, my apologies if this has previously been discussed. I've been trying to play the game as normal, but gamecenter never activates when I fire the game up. I will get the achievements and can see them in the police station and even collect my award, but if I try to hit the gamecenter icon on the bottom left, it crashes. Every time. I've tried freeing all memory and resetting but this has yet to provide a solution. Also, when I open gamecenter from my springboard, I'm showing 0 out of 39 achievements for this game when I've at least earned 5/6 so far. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Duplicate mechanic clone I have accidentally created a duplicate mechanic clone by doing the following. I wanted to replace the 2-place house that I had with the mayor and mechanic with something larger so I vacated them both to the hotel. It hen noticed that the mechanic was still in the house AND in the hotel. So now I can't delete that house and I can't return the mechanic to its job because it is already working there. Anyone else run into this problem?
I have the problem with two mechanics too. I now have two mechanics living in the same house nut even if I move the one to the hotel, the other will just create another clone. Hope this will be sorted soon so I can delete the house.
Unlocked my 210th gene and all animals today. Here's how it went. I had unlocked all but the 6 clones that needed the Jack Frost gene from the Fire and Ice mission. But I needed a Trout and a Stag to complete it, in addition to three Tier 4 animals I still needed from before the update. So off I went spending my remaining ~300mil on the shelter surprises, hoping it would be enough. Well, I'd managed to get the Stag and two Tier 4 animals but I was soon out of coins. Thankfully I still had enough utopium to spend 100u in exchange for 200mil coins. But yet again, the damn Trout eluded me and I was broke. Thanks to the new mission system I was able to trade-in animals for more utopium and coins. I did missions for 3u and 4u till I could exchange 25u for 45mil coins and some money missions were awesome, offering rewards of 33mil coins and IIRC there was one for 100mil? So I could carry on with the quick surprises. Finally though, diminishing returns meant I had reached a point where I didn't have enough utopium to trade for coins and didn't have enough of the right animals to complete any of the missions. But I still needed that damn Trout and I had blown about 700mil coins trying to get it already. I was about to quit and resigned myself that I had to go back to 'slow playing' and 'patiently' trying to unlock the last six clones. I decided to do just one more regular heart fill from houses and then put the iPad down. What do you know, I got the Trout on that fill!! Back in business! I was finally able to unlock the last six clones but the game was not finished yet. Along the way I had managed to unlock the last Tier 4 animal I needed but strangely the achievement didn't trigger. To my horror, I realized one of the missions had used some of my Tier 4 animals and I had zero of five of them! The text on the achievement says 'rescue' all Tier 4 animals, not 'unlock' all Tier 4 animals. Damn! Instead of needing only three Tier 4 animals I now needed five! Well, at least they seemed more common now than before the patch so perhaps it won't take too long this time? Well it didn't take long at all because I put the game down still needing three of them but when I logged in later the achievement suddenly triggered! I guess it was 'unlock' all the while but maybe it hadn't synced with GC previously? Anyway yay, now I just have to do the 50 trees and I'm officially done. Some thoughts. Making a gene cost 100u to unlock, ok maybe endgame players won't find that too much of a problem. But tying a gene in to the rescued animal system was just plain cruel, LambdaMu. Cruel! At least with 100u cost, it's within the player's ability to reasonably know and control when he reaches that amount. But the randomness of the surprise reward system takes the control out of the player's hands completely. I think I was extremely, extremely lucky to get the last animal I needed for the gene unlock when I did. If I hadn't, I honestly don't know if I would have the patience to continue playing the game. To be honest, the thrill of unlocking new genes has waned for me. It's started to get repetitive with no real meaning behind it and just takes longer and longer. Placing buildings is just a matter of grouping everything together by working time to make restarting them more efficient, resulting in an ugly looking town that resembles nothing in real-life or even a Sims game. What more fun could be had by unlocking even 100 more genes and 20 more building-types in the next update? I hope LambdaMu has some new ideas for future updates to bring fresh challenges for all the Mayors out there.
Well, I have finally finished making a list of ALL missions in the game. Here is an explanation of how to read this list: Mission # - Each mission has an ID number Mission Name - The mission name that is displayed in the game Requirements - This lists everything the mission requires. A few notes about reading the requirements: 1) Specific animals and jobs begin with a capital letter and then are lower case (ex. Fishmonger or Lion). 2) Categories are written in all capitals (ex. AQUATIC or BEAR). 3) Finally coin prices are a little complicated, so let me explain how to read them. Coin prices scale based on your current level. Here is an example of how coin prices are written "Coins = 100uER/15" where the 100uER refers to YOUR current 100u Exchange Rate, which can be found by tapping the + next to your Utopium total in the upper left of the screen. So for example, I am currently level 26 and my 100uER is 280,000,000 so that means that my 100uER/15 price is 18,666,666 but the game only cares about the value of the Millions place without rounding. So for me, 100uER/15 = 18Mil coins. Depending on your level, this value may be higher or lower in your game. Reward - What completing the mission will earn you. Once again coin prizes are written as "100uER/x" see the requirements notes on how to read coin values. Type - There are 5 types of missions. Unique missions reward you a Special Gene and can be bought out for 100u instead of completing them. Premium missions reward you with Astroglass housing, decor, and trees, these items do not require any land to place in your city. Repeatable missions are missions that can be completed over and over and reward either utopium or coins. Random missions also reward utopium and coins, but are not repeatable. Finally NA missions are NOT available in the game, but are listed in the mission list, they are most likely just place holders for future missions, or there was going to be an additional 3 Special Genes and for some reason they were removed. All missions are listed below (Obviously Spoilers) Spoiler Mission #1 Mission Name: WONDERLAND Requirements: Walrus, Carpenter, 20 Utopium, Rabbit, Chocolatier, CAT, Bat, Writer, Dodo Reward: Musician Gene Type: Unique Mission #2 Mission Name: TEAM NAMES Requirements: Duck, Bull, Tiger, 20 Utopium, Eagle, Coins = 100uER/20, Buccaneer, Wizard, Cattle Rustler Reward: Sports Star Gene Type: Unique Mission #3 Mission Name: ICE AND FIRE Requirements: Wolf, Lion, Dragon, Stag, Brown Bear, Octopus, Trout, 7 Utopium, Writer Reward: Jack Frost Gene Type: Unique Mission #4 Mission Name: GASTRONOMY Requirements: Baker, Pig, Chicken, Coins = 100uER/25, Cow, Horse, Cook, 25 Utopium, Chef Reward: Foodie Gene Type: Unique Mission #5 Mission Name: PARTY ANIMALS Requirements: DOG, Park Ranger, CAT, Vet, 5 Utopium, Animal Trainer, ANY, Zookeeper, ANY Reward: Socialite Gene Type: Unique Mission #6 Mission Name: BEAST OF BURDEN Requirements: STRONG, STRONG, STRONG, STRONG, 30 Utopium, STRONG, STRONG, STRONG, STRONG Reward: Strongman Gene Type: Unique Mission #7 Mission Name: OBEDIENCE SCHOOL Requirements: DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG, Police Officer, DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG Reward: Guru Gene Type: Unique Mission #8 Mission Name: Mission name Requirements: Chow Chow, Cow, Tuxedo Cat, Pug, Golden Retriever, Giraffe, Interior Designer, Secretary, Forensic Scientist Reward: Sports Star Gene Type: NA Mission #9 Mission Name: Mission name Requirements: Chow Chow , Cow, Tuxedo Cat, Pug, Golden Retriever, Giraffe, Interior Designer, Secretary, Forensic Scientist Reward: Sports Star Gene Type: NA Mission #10 Mission Name: Mission name Requirements: Chow Chow, Cow, Tuxedo Cat, Pug, Golden Retriever, Giraffe, Interior Designer, Secretary, Forensic Scientist Reward: Sports Star Gene Type: NA Mission #11 Mission Name: NINE LIVES Requirements: CAT, CAT, CAT, CAT, CAT, CAT, CAT, CAT, CAT Reward: 3 Utopium Type: Repeatable Mission #12 Mission Name: HAVE YOU HEARD? Correct me if Im wrong, but Im pretty sure that you could spend 100 u to complete the gene missions. At the bottom right of the mission screen, there was a "100u" button. I dont 100% remember though!
I don't 100% remember either but it does ring a bell! You could be right, in which case I will have to take back those comments. I guess I had transferred my fixation on unlocking Tier 4 animals to Tier 5 as well. So much so that I was oblivious to the shortcut that was right under my nose!
I have one gripe with the mission system and the tagging of animals. Every animal that is required to complete a Unique mission that unlocks a Special Gene is tagged in the category "Special". The problem with this is that animals that are in the "Special" category can not be used for any of the Repeatable missions. I was playing last night when I saw this mission I was confused that I had no Tier 1 animals, so I opened my animal list and checked and saw that I had plenty of Tier 1 animals left So I wondered why I couldn't do the mission, I also wondered why I had 20+ of some animals and 0 of others, then I checked their tags, and all Tier 1 animals except for the cats and the donkey are "Special". This is ridiculous considering how common Tier 1 animals are and how many missions require them. But since they are used in 1 mission that unlocks a Special Gene, they are forbidden from all Repeatable missions. The most egregious examples in my opinion are all of the dogs. The dogs are "Special" because they are used in the "Obedience School" mission to get the Guru Gene, but the mission requires ANY dogs, not specific ones, so why lock them all? Similarly, the mission "Party Animals" that unlocks the Socialite Gene requires ANY cat, but that didn't get all cats tagged as "Special". I propose that once a Unique mission has been completed that all animals used in it should no longer be "Special" so that they may be used in other missions. Below I have marked which animals are currently "Special" and therefore can not be used for any of the Repeatable missions. As you can see, the most common animals are also the least useful. LambdaMu please fix this as soon as possible, thank you.
@TRBIv dude, impressive work, thks a lot for all the missions and screenshots of tier animals. I did notice that some low tier animals ran out whereas some were still aplenty. The idea of using animals for missions is good, but it needs tweaking as some selections seem a bit broken. Best thing would be to be able to tap on an animal selected when it's generic (tier or CAT for example) and select from a list of all the other eligible animals. That way, the mission would still be filled automatically but we could change some of the animals selected if we'd like. You keep the simplest way for most of the players, but introduce a more strategic use of animals resources for us nerds This needs the previously discussed badge of the stock on each animal (x/xx) I'm confident LambdaMu will enhance the missions experience soon. I do feel like a pet slaughterhouse right now, I only have twenty tier 1 animals left. All my cats and dogs are now U lasagnas meat
@TRB4 the "no special animals allowed" condition seems to be lifted the moment you finish the last special gene mission. I started collecting u through missions after unlocking the special genes and I never once got that restriction again. It's there as a fail safe I think, so you dont accidentally throw away an animal you need to use for a one-time special mission for a little bit of u.
I agree. Thanks for the info posting, TRB4. I have now finished collecting all the new people (210/210). I am currently at 464/525 land, still have 330u (down from 800+u before the update), and $2B coins (which I throw at the casino from time to time). It was very easy to stock up on u before this update with the $2M instant surprise. It will be more difficult as I wait for 1.4, because of the reduced u bug in the $4M instant surprises. I am going to stick with the casino since I can try and collect astro-glass items. Don't really need them but maybe land will be in shorter supply at some point. I really wish there was an option to win the "astro-glassification" of a building or piece of decor. Basically clicking on that tile would remove its land value from your overall total. This would allow me to keep the housing, decor, and trees that I like versus the new ones.
I didn't have this fail-safe as I specifically remember using 3 octopus and 1 dragon on repeatable missions before I unlocked the Jack Frost gene. After not triggering the Tier 4 animal achievement due to having zero qty of some of them, I was hyper-aware not to accidentally use the last of the animals I needed for the gene unlock. I had 4 Octopus and 2 Dragons at the time I was still hunting for the Trout and Stag. Yet on repeatable missions, the Octopus and Dragon were showing up as choices for AQUATIC and MYTHICAL creatures respectively. I'm sure the Walrus was available as well.
Finally got my Dragon and unlocked the last gene. I think my plan going forward will be to blow all my money on the casino until I have at least 1 of every animal back in stock, and then I will start stockpiling cash (again).
blew 60mil on the casino, got 2 AG trees, a manor, a bronze AG plaza and 5 animals, lucky me this time
I think that something in here is wrong. I needed a lion to unlock a gene, but the game allowed me to spend my last lion on a mission that gave cash or u (I forget which) as a reward.
Alright, it seems that only certain missions have a restriction on "Special" animals. I am not sure what determines which missions allow special animals and which ones do not. I only have access to a few missions right now to test, but of my current missions: Missions that DO NOT allow Special Animals ANYMALS FOURSIGHT Missions that DO allow Special Animals FOOD FIGHT SEE FOOD There is no indication in the games files, so the only way to make a comprehensive list will be to manually check each mission in the game.
Im think the bottom left missions do not allow special animals as their requirements are always Tier X animals and never specific animals. Top missions are special genes, middle missions are more specific ones that yield higher payouts, bottom left are broader missions that special genes cannot be used and also yield lower payouts and finally bottom right missions are for astroglass items. At least this is what Ive been noticing!
Good observations. I am going to start recording which missions appear where (well for middle row and bottom left) and whether or not special animals are allowed.
Can anyone redirect me to where the missions are? I assume they come with specific buildings and I just haven't discover them yet.
