I have this problem, but don't really want to delete my fire station and lose the upgrades. Ivan, is this going to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
If you played regularly since the launch, it was easy to accumulate U. You can get 25u from trees every day. It's pretty boring when there's nothing else to do in game , so I don't do it all the time. But when watching TV or listening to a podcast, it's an easy task for example. It's faster with more trees of course (I got 30 sthg and it takes 1/2 hour max) You also get 1 or 2u from mine every day. And you did get 2u/5u occasionnaly from surprises before the update. Now you can get U from the Casino too. I had about 300u saved before the update and spent evthg. 120u for the last heart, and it's now more useful as the animals are a key to unlock new things. It looks like hearts appear more rapidly too. I built a lot of decor as I was high level and had to increase the spirit substantially from 100 to 180. (there are new decor to unlock that don't cost land) And some were needed for the new special genes to unlock. Only a few to transfer clones to new shiny towers (I had 10 already built and vacant) through hotel. Tbh, this game has been pretty generous with its in game currency if you're patient. And even the IAP is somewhat cheap, although I did buy only the permanent production time doubler. I only have one special gene to unlock, the tier 5 animals needed were fast to get, I'm surprised! And then I will have to fill my 12 bars with new clones lol.
I just got the dragon after getting 2 gold hearts as well..... Not sure if it was random or not tho. Regarding the trees and utopiam issue I've been getting exactly the same as I did before the update. Forest of 30 trees and about an hour on average to get my 25 a day.
@Ivan: What would help in the missions, is to know how many of each animal used we have in stock. Maybe a number sticker on the ones needed as in the animals list. (And maybe the name/tier of the animal I dunno?) So that we wouldn't get rid of all an animal at once. You did great, as finding animals is now a very challenging and interesting goal. But it's uneasy to send them skyrocketing to outer space for a few coins/U knowing you could need them for more useful buidings/gene
Vic have you noticed that they still do this? I was collecting for nearly 2 hours constantly last night (after midnight and after the update) and I could not get a 10coin to pop up. I have 36 trees and can normally hit the 10 coins within 30 minutes - 1 hour. I didn't hit my limit yesterday after updating either (or if I did I wasn't made aware of it)
Can you explain what you mean by a 10 coin? Ok, that sounds like a stupid question, but I don't quite follow.
As you collect from the trees you see the little popups, +100, +1000, etc.. The *only* time you get +10 is after the utopium limit for the past 24 hours has been hit. Each time you see +10 rise up after clicking on a tree, that would have been utopium but you're over the limit.
O mean you get either +1u, +3u, 100 coins or +1000 coins from a tree. When you start to see +10 coins, it means you have had your 25 daily U from trees. @spike : I didn't notice any change in trees reward since the update, same old. I guess there is a new clone that may improve the rewards maybe?

Quick responses to couple of questions you guys have: 1) trees have not been touched. They produce the same U at the same rate still. In the upcoming patch, there will be ways to double the limit you can have and double the amount of U that you can get from trees. 2) 1u and 2u rewards from animal shelter is a BUG. It's suppose to still be 2u and 5u. 3) we're working on getting the number of animals to display in the mission as well. But may present a bigger communication problem (might look like the mission requires x3 dragons for example). 4) we've caught the firefighter bug and the duplicate mechanic bug. Fixed in 1.41. 5) we're working on a system that allows you to "hold" an animal in a mission. Ie, if you hold the dragon, it will not show up as a criteria in other missions. 6) golden hearts: hah, well. I'm kinda torn on whether I should reveal what they do and how to get it (as you technically can't increase it's spawn rate until we issue a new feature in 1.41. It's possible, but very very tedious). 7) on the lack of coins, find the coins missions to complete! There a couple really high payoffs.
This has started happening to me as well, since I unlocked the 'Officer' gene to completely fill the Utopia HQ. I now have 158/210 jobs discovered. If I click the people tab the game crashes to iOS screen. It does this everytime, whether from main game screen or the Courthouse shortcut. Also, my mission 'Party Animal' will not complete. I have a dog and a cat and the random animals, at least 5 utopium and have discovered all 4 of the required jobs but it says requirements not met. Am I missing something or has this game totally bugged out on me? Initially I thought I had to have copies of the clones to complete the mission, so I created one of each and shoved them off to a hotel but that didn't let it unlock either.
ok I'm a bit perplex. I got the missing animal for the last special gene, so I went nuts with the "special" missions Spoiler I just bought a golden plaza (mission thunder thunder) for 7 big cats, 20m coins and 10u. It gives 3 spirits and doesn't use land. But I could have bought a decor that gives 3 spirit for 4u, and takes 1 land. Assuming 40u for a land expansion via the lawyer, it's 4u per land. So it would have costed me 8u. Even using church, it would have costed 12u. The mission seems very steeply priced? Did I miss sthg? I'll take screenshots for the special missions now, but it hardly seems worth it for this one at least.
