you need to add a business If you add a commercial building, you'll be able to splice clones to work there. You can't splice clones if you have nowhere to put them.
Still no Romantic Gene I have a iPad 3rd generation and updated the app yesterday, filled my heart meter, and still cant get the new gene to appear. I tried killing the app and rebooting with no luck. Then I tried updating the iPad to the latest iOS 6.x and still no luck. Will the next update automatically include the romantic gene with the new content so that nothing special is required to make this gene appear?
The festive season for the special job is over, don't worry though, ways to unlock festives pass the season will be included in the update.
Also, any plans to correct the IAP at the Enterprise building? I started a second game on my iPhone and clicked restore purchases as soon as I got past the tutorial part only to discover the button was gone at the Enterprise building. I have all the achievements except that one.
Yes. Fixed. If you click restore purchases one more thing post patch, it should check for the achievement and unlock it automatically.
This really is the perfect kind of game for me right now. Sure, you mostly just click on stuff to hear cha-ching and bleep-bleep sounds and so the game feels like its playing itself. But its the perfect distraction for me when I'm out and about and need to wait a few minutes for something, its addicting as hell and you can't help yourself from doing "just one more thing" in your city before you put away your phone (which often becomes 74 things or more). The most recent game i have played similar to this was Tiny Tower and that game was amazing and perfect distraction as well. If you guys have any other suggestions for games like this where I really need no investment in the game, just take out my phone to click stuff in the game basically, that would be welcome.
Hey - I've seen a few people ask this but no solution. I've been playing about a week and unlocked 150/155 jobs but cannot unlock the Romantic to get the final 5. Is this a bug or do I need to do something to get the Romantic? I have the latest version of the game and there are no updates available to me. PLEASE can anyone help?
I read Ivan saying that the gene is gone now as it was a limited time one, but he also said that in the future there will be ways of unlocking these genes.
Bought another 200-something instant surprises and finally (FINALLY! ) got my last missing tier 4 animal. Got it on the 981st animal. I have to admit I was starting to lose hope of ever getting it, so big relief there. Now I was wondering what to do with all the money I make? Since buying more land has become relatively cheap, I guess it would be best to keep buying instant surprises for the utopium it earns. Especially since there seems to be a limit at a little over 2 billion coins (read it here, didn't get that high myself). Or maybe there's a better idea out there?
I have maxed out my land at 525, so Instant Surprises seem to be the way to go with the extra cash. I am leaving myself around $1B for when the new update comes out.

Spent about $400M on Instant Surprises. I got ~100u which was nice, and I got the last two rare animals that I needed. My total # of animals is 491. Not bad.
Nice, congrats! That's pretty quick compared to some others btw, have read a few posts where people got to around 1000 (yes, including myself). I've been gathering data on my own surprises, manual and instant together, and certainly didn't get anywhere near 100u on my last 200 surprises. Suppose it's just a temporary thing, it should pick up considering the statistics I guess. Another weird thing is that I'm getting nearly as many T2 (24) animals as from T1 (31) out of the last 100 surprises. Anyway, it's just to keep myself occupied.. Eagerly anticipating the next update.
Missing achieves Just a couple of achievements that look to be missing for me: * I did do a "restore purchases" and got the "Purchase Restore Successful" notice, but I still don't have the Achievement for the double-time IAP. * On the animals screens I appear to have all of the T2 animals but I don't have the achievement for it. I have also filled in all the T1 and T3 and do have those achievements. Only missing two T4!
This is a well known issue, and there is a bit of debate as to whether it is intentional or unintentional. Some believe that since you started benefiting from the Double Time IAP before you technically unlocked the building that gives you the ability that you should be punished by not being able to get the achievement. Other's feel that this was not the developer's intent and that it is simply an oversight and should be corrected in the future. As of right now though, the only way to get the achievement is to wait until you build an Enterprise building, click the Double Time button, get the achievement, THEN restore purchases.
According to Ivan's post above, this was fixed in the last patch. I was pointing out that it was not fixed in my case.
