    restoring IAPs

so I'm kind of new to the game, but I saw the "restore purchases" today and wanted to start a new game because I built a ton of rocky mansions cause I'm stupid..

I made an IAP for 1000u today and did some upgrades with my old town as some tests. I then deleted the app and save data, re-downloaded the app and started my new town, went through the tutorial and pressed "restore purchases"...

"purchase restore successful" but still only 25u.... tried multiple times, same result.

Did I delete 1000u for nothing?

I am at 151/155, 1884 cps, and 229/230 land. Paid 99 cents for production doubler but nothing else.

It is definitely a slog if you can't keep the app open to click on the short timers.

I am debating whether to start over so I can optimize.

I agree that the animal collection is a little ridiculous. If it's truly random with no weight given to the ones you're missing then I've lost motivation to try completing them. I seem to never get a new one, and if I do I don't ever know it cause the game doesn't tell you. If it gave some feedback when you got a new animal then maybe it'd motivate me to keep going. As it is, I just assume I already have it cause 99% of the time I do.

And the coin rewards for heart collection are insignificant, I only collect hearts in the hope of finding utopium right now. I think I'd rather get no gift than to get the 5000 coins, when I get that it just makes me mad that I spent the time to collect 10 hearts for something my town makes in literally 3 seconds. I don't know of an alternative other than maybe to eliminate the 5000 coins and add a 100k reward in addition to the 50k one. It'd just make me feel a little better vs getting frustrated by the small amount.

Has anyone gotten any news on this issue?:

    --
Issue: I bought the double time IAP, and then I restarted the game. When I restored the purchase to get my double time IAP back, I didn't get the "Long term planning" achievement in my new game. How do I fix this?

Are you doubled up on any of the buildings? I've got one of everything, completely staffed, and I'm only at 1796 cps (155/155, 216/220, population 225/230). :/

Someone had a similar problem earlier in this thred. Restore purchases doesn't work for consumables. Write to Apple what happend and ask for a refund of the consumable (though this is a different case, a restart made by you, not because of a bug; well at least you didn't know it won't work) and buy it again.

For all the people who have any issues with this game, I'm sorry. For me, this game is awesome and if for no other reason, I have to know EVERY NAME.

    They're so FLIPPING AWESOME.

Sure there are a few duds, and I won't give away too many because, well, they're awesome to see on your own, but some of my favorites are:

    Laura Norder (Sheriff)
    Chris Anthemum (Gardener)
    Leon Downe (Nurse)
    Sirius D'Kaye (Dentist)
    Iona Bentley (Industrialist)
    Rhoda Booke (Writer)

I mean really. The team/person/persons that came up with a list of matching names to professions like this deserve serious applause. They're clever, cute and funny as hell.

Oh, and the wizard! OY vey. :D

I'm 14 away from having everything, and I've spent a few dollars to support the whole kit and caboodle.. Well worth it. I've had much less fun with games that were far more expensive. This game makes me smile all the time.

Though if I see "Call me Maybe?" One more time I'm going to scream.

    Okay me again.

If you pay for the legal loophole, does that still increase the cost to move up to the next level? I'm at level 14 now but we are at the 58 mil mark, and I am somewhat close, relatively, and don't want to shoot myself in the foot spending the 40u and have my cash upgrade cost go bananas.

yes the cost will go up. since you are close you should wait till u have enough $ and save the utopium for the next upgrade

Frick. Problem is close is I'm at 28 mil, next upgrade is 38.... BUT I think I have most of the buildings now, so.. I'll just wait. Might grab another dollar block of U just to thank the devs and stockpile :)

Another bug.... My iPad keeps giving me notifications that buildings are complete, when they are already done and full.

You know, I always love to see these posts and how special someone like you is because...

    1) Somehow, an up front price of "free" in the entertainment world MUST mean 100% free without any advantage whatsoever for spending money or the game is not just flawed, but an obvious and underhanded attempt to rob you of your senses and hard earned $0.99. I am certain that you go to work every day, work very hard, and would be shocked if your boss or customers so much as offered you a complimentary glazed donut. No, you do it all for the smiles of those around you and would be horrified at the idea that you should actually be compensated for services you provide.

    2) That a freemium builder was, omigosh, a freemium builder is somehow a knock against the game. Do you hate it when you get a match 3 and they honestly expect you to match up things to advance? Is it even worse when you get an RPG and have to accumulate experience and gold to improve your character? It was never presented as anything other than a freemium builder, so if the notion of pressing buttons was so repugnant, I can't imagine why you even bothered to download it in the first place. Even the best of freemium builder games have some form of the timer based button presses, it's kind of inherent to the genre. Some may do them more cleverly than PP I admit, but that doesn't change the fact that this is still an outstanding example of the genre.

    3) Even though myriad people with a lot better credibility around here have praised the freemium done right, talked about how they finished the game with only buying the one time "double time" IAP, how they're earning 20-40 utopium a day with their strategy, etc., how another gaming site used this game as a poster child of what happens when devs are arguably too nice in their freemium design (they calculated that even before the sale, a single $8 purchase would have let you blow through 100% of the content in short order), clearly *you* are the genius who sees through the insidious veil of mind control LamdaMu has infected everyone's brains with

I spent $2.98 on this game, the first $1.99 because the devs clearly deserved at least that much for such a well crafted and polished freemium builder, the second because I didn't even realize when I bought the first that there was a genuine "must have" IAP in the form of the double time upgrade, and even though I don't need to spend another dime, I'm probably going to buy some utopium during the sale to say thanks for such a wonderfully well done freemium game in a market full of "The Simpsons: Tapped Out" economic models.

With very little effort, in just a little over 2 weeks, I have every building, every job, lots of decorations, trees, etc.. I can say without any attempt to deceive that the first and only utopium purchase was 100% unnecessary as I'm sitting on a pile of utopium bigger than I bought that I don't even need to spend on anything for now. With only the single $0.99 "double time" purchase, the game is incredibly accessible for a freemium builder with *nothing* held back to the player who puts in their time. Even without that $0.99 purchase, there's still nothing held back, they just correctly make you do more work than someone who does help them pay the bills.

    Headshot indeed lol :)
You don't want to get in C. Hanuman crosshair, especially as he uses both "Cold Blood" and "Sadistic" talents ;)

"How DARE they offer me the possibility to SPEND my hard earned 99 cent allowance in a FREE game. Think of all the things I could buy with $0.99"

I guess people are too much used to "play" dumb 'Ville button pushers to even look at the mechanics of a game anymore. :D
I don't say there's huge strategy thinking in PixlPpl. But you definitely do better if you take 15 minutes to look at the different options you have and not blindly rush to unlock new clones!

There's only one feature that I can think of that would be nice to add to this. It would be good if I could relocate residents to a new housing unit so I can delete old bulky units.

Side note: people who complain about f2p models are far more annoying than f2p itself.
