Thanks for the answer. So the utopium to money feature is essentially useless. Issue: I bought the double time IAP, and then I restarted the game. When I restored the purchase to get my double time IAP back, I didn't get the "Long term planning" achievement in my new game. How do I fix this?
Bought the 250 utopia in order to support the developers. Keep adding new content and improving the game further! The game has a lot of potential.
So after spending much time with my best friend Microsoft Excel, I have made a list, well 2 lists depending on your play style, of what order building upgrades should be purchased. If you don't play often, and want the best value for each upgrade (working time * CPS) then you should upgrade in this order: Spoiler Stadium Circus Bar Observatory Theatre Film Studio Radio Station University Forensic Lab City Square Gallery Dojo Farm Space Port Space Admin Farmer's Market Lakehouse Ninja HQ Research Lab Enterprise Library Dentist's Office Restaurant Publishing House Arena TV Station Courthouse Fire Station Funeral Parlor Tavern Hero Mansion Dance Studio Photo Shop Altar Museum Diner Nursery Fashion Studio Pharmacy Hotel Utopia Post Office Swimming Pool Construction Yard Town Hall Garage Cafe Clinic Park Bunker Building Firm Business Center Astro Church Aquarium Law Firm School of Magic Animal Shelter Hospital Arcade Bank Gene Pool Police Station News Agency Weddings R Us Flower Shop Greenhouse Spa Utopium Mine Dating Agency Fortune Teller Stable Fast Food Sheriff's Office Tech Support Sushi Bar If you do play often, and you would like to upgrade your fastest earning (i.e. highest CPS) buildings first then you should upgrade in this order: Spoiler City Square Hero Mansion Tavern Dance Studio Altar Stadium Business Center Farmer's Market Fashion Studio Circus Pharmacy Arcade Bank Arena Post Office Gallery Photo Shop Cafe Clinic Park Astro Church Utopium Mine Observatory Museum Aquarium Law Firm School of Magic Police Station University Space Admin Funeral Parlor Hotel Utopia Bar Radio Station Swimming Pool Fast Food Theatre Dojo Courthouse Garage Gene Pool Lakehouse Ninja HQ News Agency Weddings R Us Film Studio Forensic Lab Enterprise Library TV Station Animal Shelter Hospital Flower Shop Greenhouse Spa Sheriff's Office Research Lab Dentist's Office Restaurant Bunker Tech Support Farm Space Port Publishing House Fire Station Diner Nursery Dating Agency Fortune Teller Stable Construction Yard Town Hall Building Firm Sushi Bar Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, there are currently 74 buildings that produce CPS, it takes 888u to fully upgrade every single one of them. It also takes 210u to fully upgrade your heart meter and 132u to get a maximum discount. Therefore, you would need a minimum of 1230u total to max out all currently available upgrades in the game, and that doesn't even include the utopium that you'll spend on housing, trees, land, and speeding up timers. It really makes that 1000u IAP look desirable lol.
With the discussion earlier about the devs not grossing as much, and the earlier-than-that discussion about housing upgrades, I wonder if they could combine them, and make upgrading houses into another IAP. It might be like the double production time IAP, an almost necessary purchase. That's the only thing I've bought. Just a thought. Also, I didn't get the new splice thing with this patch. It increased the jobs to 150/155, but no new discovery after filling up hearts a couple times. Bummer! I just bought land too (for about 80 mil, up to 210) because I'm working on filling up my businesses and wonder if I should pause that in order to save space and clones for the new stuff.
A quick question for those who didn't get the new gene, did you upgrade from version 1.0 or from the recent bug fix update? I skipped the bug fix update, and upgraded directly from version 1.0 and I did receive the new gene on my first heart surprise. I also had no hearts filled in my bar (other than my 6 permanent hearts) before the update. I had all jobs and buildings before I updated too. Also, one other theory, did anyone who didn't get the new gene get the Mechanic/Reporter Eureka pack pop-up when they first started after updating? Perhaps that is what caused the no new gene bug.
Know you asked for those who didn't get the gene, but, I did update to the patch before this one, had one permanent and 3 (or 4) other hearts filled before updating. Didn't have all the jobs / buildings before the update. Did get the surprise. Only one I can't be of use with is the mechanic pop up as I haven't ever had that bug.
I had installed the first patch and upgraded from that, and got the new gene. My heart meter was partially full at the time.
I currently have 143/155. When I opened the app today, it said I had discovered a new gene "Mechanic". Obviously this is a bug. Didn't seem to impact any counts (people or land).
My wife and I updated from the fixed version. She got the new gene, I didn't. Same iphone (4s), same config, same everything. We were both with the heart level missing 2-3 hearts and with the heart meter update maxed out. Now for more bug reports (sorry if they are reported already): 1. my wife got a "mechanic" again, which supposedly had to build 1 land, but nothing happened... Except she lost one available land (EDIT: bug quoted at the beginning of my post, except my wife got -1 land.) 2. My wife didn't get the "30 trees" achievement, even though she has 31 trees. We have tried the "fix it" button in one of the buildings, but nothing happened. She's quite angry about bug 2 because she didn't get the 5u of the achievement. Can you fix it? (For my mental health at least, please, so that I don't have to hear her complaining about the achievement not being granted )
Number 2 isn't a bug. The achievement says that you "Built 30 trees" not that you have 30 trees. You begin the game with 3 trees already, therefore to get the achievement you need to have 33 trees. Just have her plant 2 more trees and she'll get the achievement and the 5u reward.
For the tree one, it was pointed out earlier in the thread that you start with a few trees. The achievement is to BUILD 30 trees, not HAVE 30 trees. She'll need to build a few more to have actually built 30 of them herself.
How do you rotate buildings? I've been trying to do it since last night and I've not seen an option to do it.
You need to have the Spoiler School of Magic unlocked first. After that, you'll see an icon in the top left corner of the menu page for the building, decor, or tree that you want to rotate. Pressing that icon toggles the rotation between two different angles.
I can flip buildings but don't have the new gene. I just reached 150/155 so I guess I'm filling in duplicate jobs for a while. Glad to hear a fix is on the way. Cheers.
