Now this bug is funny. I now have 151/150 because it keeps saying I found the reporter job again! And yes it is always the reporter. I have a knack for finding the odd bugs!!
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2663370&postcount=735 It's curious because I had two different games on different devices, both at the same level yet one game's timers were a lot shorter than the other. Go for it. I had 74 genes when I restarted. Your cps seems kinda low for level 11. I had closer to 500. Spirit is up to you, I'd max it at level 12. My new game had 15 mansions, then atomic cottage became available. Built 6 of those then Shiny Towers opened up. Built those the rest of the way. I think most of us experience this bug. Tap the maintenance tab in the Arrival Center then tap the repair button. That fixes it.
What is the deal with the reporter? It said I needed two land when spliced her but she didn't build anything when she arrived but the land was taken! That land is worth about 4 million coins right now.
It's 1 land and the building actually unlocks with a new gene you can splice from the Reporter. This gene also deducts one land and doesn't credit you for the one lost with the Reporter. It's a bug they haven't fixed yet. For now just do what I did and delete a tree.
When I unlock a new combination, the first thing I do is see what subsequent new combinations are available (i.e. they show as pink) to try and predict what comes next. When I first unlocked the Spoiler Car Designer , it started construction of the Spoiler Garage , so I didn't know exactly what other jobs would be needed for that building until it was completed. But I did notice that the combination of Spoiler Car Designer + Assistant showed as yellow, which is odd because I had just unlocked that first gene and therefore had not used it yet. Then it occured to me that this combination would make perfect sense to create a Mechanic, which would be an obvious choice for the Spoiler Garage . I thought this was a very clever gameplay decision by the developers, since you get the Mechanic at the beginning of the game (you don't create it) and for that job to be used in any building other than the Arrival Center, you'd need a gene combination for a new clone. I was a bit disappointed when the Spoiler Garage finished and there was no Mechanic in the job list. But there is a Spoiler Mechanical Engineer , which is not really the same thing and doesn't make as much sense. I wonder if the developers changed their mind about using the Mechanic in that building because of gameplay testing feedback, because it was judged to be too subtle for most players. If so, that's too bad, because I thought it was a very clever idea.
I finished construction on the Spoiler Ninja HQ today, and am a bit puzzled by the appearance of the "building". Is that intentional? And why is a Spoiler Greengrocer on its list of jobs? Is there a pop culture reference or something that I'm missing?
I'm guessing Spoiler Greengrocer is a nod to the hugely popular app Spoiler Fruit Ninja . As for the building, Spoiler there's an internet meme about ninjas being invisible. So it should follow that their HQs are invisible too? Or at least so well disguised that you wouldn't know what you were looking at was a ninja HQ at all!
Makes sense! Did you also notice what it says on the "More" page of the building menu? Spoiler Nothing. Nothing at all.
I believe building times are affected by number of clones. The more clones you have, the longer it is.
Some enhancements I'd like to see Here are three simple enhancements I'd like to see in a future release: Power indicator--It would be very useful if there was a small indicator next to the heart meter that had a similar function. If there is at least one business that needs to be recharged, the power indicator appears. That would be the signal for you to scan the rest of your city. Right now, my workaround is to put a fast recharge business (I use the Sherrif's Office) near my trees, and when it shows its recharge icon, I'll check the rest of the city first. "Spiritless" decor--I'd really like to use all of the available decor items somewhere in my city, but it's not really worth it to use a valuable land space for a 0.5% spirit item, for example. But I'd certainly be willing to spend 10,000 coins for each of those if they behaved just like roads and waterways. Perhaps there could be an option when for each decor item, with one price for the normal version (with spirit bonuses) and another price for decoration only. Formulas revealed--When you unlock a new gene combination, it should be visible for businesses that use that job without having to pay 5u for the hint. The 5u cost should only apply for combinations that haven't been seen before. And this would also apply to the Spoiler Fortune Teller. If you look at the "daily divination", that would qualify as being unlocked. Thanks!
I use the business center for that purpose - if current cps < max cps, I know something's not running.
Having just loaded my game (around 160 land / 100 clones), my entire city has disappeared and reset the population, utopium and coins to zero. This is now what iCloud is restoring when I terminate the app and reopen it. Is there any way to restore my city? If not, presumably I am eligible for a refund on IAP?
I use that too, but only as a confirmation that I've recharged everything. It requires a tap to see the menu, so it's more awkward when you are constantly checking. I want something that pops up on the main view, so you will see it even when you are doing something else.
Thanks! It could be better with roads and waterways, etc. but I wanted to minimize my space so I didn't have to scroll too much to click on hearts and trees. Business Center: Spoiler http://uk.ign.com/wikis/pixel-people/Buildings
