Spoiler Oh by the way, since when do orca live in forests? <= it might be a bug actually or intended maybe?
Really quick clarification, is the utopium limit from trees apply to all tree sections or per square of trees? Like if you have two sets of trees can you get a total of 25u per day or 50u? I assume it's 25 since the description since "city wide", just hoping I'm wrong.
Reporter bug still exists Nope, the reporter bug is still there. I just spliced him for the first time, the land count went up by 2, and no new building. And I updated to the patch earlier today. I also tried the Repair function at the clone facility. Still didn't work. In fact, it got into a nasty loop where it kept displaying the Eureka! graphic over and over. I reset the app (exited, went to another app, then back to Pixel People), tried to Repair again, still doesn't work. I had another clone come in, and had new splicing combos with the reporter. How do I get the Spoiler News Agency ? Will it come in with one of these new combos?
Spoiler I really love watching the whales frolicing in the forest. I hope this "bug" never gets fixed. It doesn't matter how many trees you planted, the limit is always 25. Only difference: You reach the 25 faster with more trees, so it depends on your playstyle how many trees you need. If you're constantly checking your game you don't need many trees to reach the 25u. If you don't want to check the game very often it's perhaps better to have more trees to be able to reach the 25 in your short playsessions.
I got the reporter bug yesterday too (version 1.01 of the game). Spliced one and when it showed up, I didn't get the option of placing any new building even though it took away some of my land when I spliced it. Repairing didn't work for me either, but luckily, I didn't get the loop you got.
Exactly - the "crappy housing" is worse, just like you say. So it would be nice to be able to replace it with the better housing.
Note: This guide assumes that you already have the jobs listed in my New Game "Perfect" Housing Guide The Bank will take you 2 clones if made before the Research Lab (or 1 clone if you make it after the Research Lab) and 1 land: 1.) Combine Spoiler Assistant + Sheriff to make a Deputy. Send the Deputy to the Sheriff's Office. 2.) Combine Spoiler Deputy + Mayor to make a Secretary and a Bank. Send the Secretary to the Bank. The Research Lab will take 8 clones if made after the bank (or 9 clones if you make it before the bank) and 4 land: 1.) Combine Spoiler Landscaper + Deputy to make a Gardener. Send the Gardener to the Nursery. 2.) Combine Spoiler Gardener + Engineer to make a Farmer and a Farm. Send the Farmer to the Farm. 3.) Combine Spoiler Farmer + Farmer to make a Botanist and a Greenhouse. Send the Botanist to the Greenhouse. Move the Gardener and the Farmer to the Greenhouse to get bank bonus. 4.) Combine Spoiler Farmer + Gardener to make a Homemaker. Send the Homemaker to the Farm. 5.) Combine Spoiler Homemaker + Gardener to make a Nurse and a Clinic. Send the Nurse to the Clinic. 6.) Combine Spoiler Nurse + Engineer to make a Doctor. Send the Doctor to the Clinic. 7.) Combine Spoiler Doctor + Park Ranger to make a Vet. Unfortunately the Vet will be stuck in your Arrival Center until you make an Animal Trainer and an Animal Shelter, which you can make if you want to by combining Vet + Sheriff, but it will use 1 more clone and 1 more land. 8.) Combine Spoiler Botanist + Vet to make a Zoologist and a Research Lab. Send the Zoologist to the Research Lab (If you made the Animal Shelter then send the Zoologist there to get the bank bonus. There you have it, in total it will cost you 10 clones and 5 land (11 clones and 6 land if you make an optional choice) and depending on your housing options, it will take between 2-5 spaces of land for housing of those 10 clones.
I've been following this thread and I believe the developer meant that this glitch is fixed on their end and will be put into the next update.
I'll avoid posting the combination in spoiler tags, but when we unlock the combo for mechanic it should show up on the mechanic's profile.
The Mechanic is provided to you at the beginning of the game and therefore does not have a combination, just like the Mayor. However there is a glitch that occasionally causes the Mechanic to pop up in a Eureka pack when you open the game and it does indeed display a combination after it "unlocks", but I am not sure if that even is a valid combination in the game. Seeing as you can only have 1 Arrival Center, and the Mechanic can ONLY work at the Arrival Center, there is no need to create a 2nd one. You can try the combo if you want to, but it probably doesn't work. Just for the sake of curiosity, could you post the Mechanics displayed combo in a spoiler tag? I meant to look at it, but I haven't had that glitch in a while. Interestingly enough, there is a chance that the Reporter may pop up in a Eureka pack when opening the game as well. I wonder if that is somehow tied to the Reporter land glitch?
Hmm, that's strange there is no Spoiler Designer in the game, only Spoiler Car Designer and Game Designer . I almost think that it's actually Spoiler C. Designer + Assistant as that combination actually makes sense. As soon as my houses are finished, I'll try that combo at the Arrival Center, but I am pretty sure that it has been removed from the game. Perhaps at one point during the production of the game you actually did have to make a Mechanic, but I assume that it was later removed. Due to the reasons that I stated above about not needing another Mechanic. However, this same logic does not apply to the Miner. The Miner has a combo, and can be made again, however the Miner can ONLY work in the Utopium Mine, and the Utopium Mine can not be duplicated (probably to stop people from trying to get multiple daily utopium bonuses). I have not tried making a 2nd Miner, and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else try either as they might get stuck in your Arrival Center, although I think that is what the Repair option is for.
Well, I picked up this game the day it came out and realised I had screwed up after about two days in. By screwed up, I mean that I reached a point where I needed 20mil coins for the next upgrade but would have to grind for it over a day and I didn't want to play that way. It had been smooth going unlocking new genes until that point and I wanted to find a way to play that would allow smooth unlocking all the way to the end with minimal grinding required. So I started a new game and unlocked the last gene on Friday morning. I'd say the second time was a success. It took about 5 days and I averaged about 20-25 new genes per day. On the final day I must've unlocked about 40 genes as I began using utopium to speed up buildings that would've taken 1d+ to complete. I used coins for all land upgrades and the last one was 40mil for Level 16, 180 land. One caveat, I work from home therefore I'm able to have my iPad in front of me while I work and just tap things every few minutes, which helped get through the worst bits from 150 land onwards. I appreciate most players can't do this and will feel a bit of a grind at that point so you might consider utopium for land upgrades instead. I can't advise how good or bad of idea that is as I didn't play that way. I can only say the way I did it worked (for me) and was quite pleasant. What you could do is plan to start the game on Tues or Weds so that when you reach 140 land, it'll be the weekend and you'll be able to spend the whole day babying those short timer buildings because they're really high cps and rack up coins fast. By around 140 land I make sure I have 50% discount from decor. I had 17 trees supplementing my cps for earlier levels so I could still manage with less discount until then. I repeat it is NOT necessary to drive yourself nuts grinding for Utopium at earlier levels to buy decor. You just don't need it yet because your cps can cover it. Spend the land on buildings and staff them. (But not on duplicates!) That increases cps and you will make more coins than you save at such low land costs. It's only important to have max 50% when land starts reaching 1mil+. Until then just juggle your clones in the right buildings to max your cps. Don't fully staff every building, just a few strategic ones. I only used 7 duplicate genes vs 28 in my first game (which I still can't finish and have deleted). I stopped at 50 spirit mainly because I was so focused on land cost, I hadn't realised that more spirit would give more time discount. But, turns out I didn't need it anyway and I unlocked all genes with 25% time discount. This is due to the way I managed the arrival centre. If one slot was jammed up with a clone waiting for his 14h+ building to complete, I'd make sure at least one slot was always free, then I would carry on splicing genes with 0 land cost. Only when no more combinations with 0 land cost were possible, then I'd fill up all 3 slots. This is for late game when timers are almost a day. I do the complete opposite at the start when timers are short, ie. splice the ones with land requirements first so that when you hit the wall and need more land but still have to wait a few hours, now you can start splicing the 0 land reqs. genes and you may even have enough of those to last until you can afford the land upgrade. Now you can keep going! That's basically how I could unlock so many genes per day. Now I'm focusing on filling hearts and finishing the animals. I just need 1 more of each from tiers 1 and 2 and half from tier 4. Thanks for a great game LamdaMu, even though Ivan ignores my questions Looking forward to the coming content patch!
Yup, that's the combination. I knew something was up when I got orange for that combo, even though I had never used one of those jobs before. I hope we're going to get some alternate housing options in the next update...even if they have the same stats as thr current ones, because I'm quickly getting a Shiny Tower farm here. Need to mix it up.
I ignore your questions? . Which? In any case, I'm out of the country at the moment and Internet access has been spotty
Thank you Ivan for the reply about the iCloud issue, because of it, I started over, and and am playing a more relaxed game. My new question is about the advertising. I actually like the ad supported model and keep tiny tower (193 floors) going to pay back nimblebit for all the fun I've had, as I rarely buy IAP. How does your system work? Do I have to tap the badge for you to get credit? Break the bubble? Or go as far as download the game? I am willing to go a little out of the way to support a good free game, but I like to know what is the most effective way to do it.
Im considering restarting to provide a smoother experience since right now upgrades and things are a bit slow. The thing holding me back is that Im at 59 different people and it is my first town... What do you guys think? My land is lvl 11 at 369 CPS. Spirit is 39.0. I too bought lotsa Mansions.
