I couldn't bring myself to nuke my town and start over, so I'm in the process of urban renewal. Putting all the trees together makes it A LOT easier to grab whatever they spawn and in the first 5 minutes since creating the greenbelt, I snagged 3-4 utopium that I would've otherwise missed. So so efficient! Currently in the process of rebuilding residential neighborhoods, then will tackle businesses, grouped by time limit. I can't recall the last time I've been so addicted to a game so quickly. Nicely done, Lambdamu. Also, only spent .99 on IAP. Definitely willing to spend more, but I want to see how much utopium I can harvest on my own first.
oh dang...i thought it was an extra land everytime when buying 10 land...already bought 1 land and kinda felt ripped off lol...should have waited for ur response...thanks for the response though
I think the other thing you have to think about using the lawfirm vs the church is that the lawfirm levels you up, which will make the cost of money needed higher. Might still be worth it though.
This is precisely right. PS: Also allows players a much less painful way to recover from being punished for cheating.
So far (103/150 jobs) the best cash flow building by far is : Spoiler the Stadium, 48 cps for 4h, when fully staffed and double time IAP. It takes 4 land spaces and employs 6 ppl. The former beat I had was University, 20cps, 2h. Stadium produces almost 5 times more coins. Definitely the first one to upgrade and maybe to have multiple of. Edit: it took me a day and a half to get the 30m needed for the 14th level. My cps went from 800 to 1100. I guess it will take also a day and a half to get the 40m for the next expansion. Seems fast enough for me, as the new buildings take 16h now.
That's a very interesting question and was hot topic of discussion at the most recent Utopia Corp. Monthly Genetics Roundtable. "The Special gene types [Label: Gene Ex Machina] are the result of thus far unexplained occurrences inside the gene bank. Though reproducible, they are somewhat unpredictable; generally observed when enough residual matter from past splices collects in the splicing chamber. This excess is periodically salvaged and inspected for any spontaneous behaviour. So far only 4 such instances have been recorded on file." -- taken from Improved Construction and Characterization of U42 Vector Strains: A Laboratory Manual, J. Neticz, D. Ennay & G. A. Enjoying the game so far, although it's really slowing down. I feel like I am leveling up my patience, as well as receiving 10 land every time.
Oh fantastic. So I've been trying TRB4's strategy on my ipad with a few slight variations. I've built an extra rocky mansion so I could build a bank to help with getting more coins. I was pretty sure I turned off the icloud setting in game so it wouldn't mess with my iphone save. I got to the level where I could start making cottages so I figure I might make one or two to speed things up a bit and when I checked back an hour later my ipad had synced with the cloud and pulled my iphone data over. Just my luck. When I want the ipad and iphone to sync they don't, when I don't the do. Oh well, I'm only out a few hours of gameplay. Could have been worse.
Love these "Manual" texts by Lambdamu. Really adds a lot to the game's mood. Also, the names of the citizens are great (I don't know if anyone payed more attention to them), so are the little messages, like "Forever a clone". Whoever came up with them, are awesome. I think things like these can make a game really memorable.
Does anyone know the total number of people needed to fill the town with all jobs filled? I am at 137 unique jobs but still rrying to fill all jobs in the new buildings too. I am still creating a fair number of new buildings as well.
The fun in this game is unlocking new genes. The pain is in the waiting time until you can unlock the next one. The issue with the approach you're following is that it front-loads a ton of pain to the experience yet still doesn't eliminate all pain from later play because though the wait times may be 50% shorter, they're still long enough to be painful. Meanwhile, you haven't had any fun unlocking anything yet. There must be a better way to have fun unlocking things steadily as you go along while minimizing the pain in between.
Ivan, is this also true for construction times and clone arrivals? The timers for them get longer as you level up? This was one reason I thought might be a bad idea to buy more land as soon as you could afford it as you'd be prematurely making your wait times longer.
Bad idea. This is a self-defeating approach. You use up more land trying to increase your cps in order to afford future land which you've just made more expensive because you've spent cheaper land you already own to make duplicate buildings and genes instead of unlocking new ones. Don't lose the forest for the trees, man. That 50 land you have to buy later means you'll be paying 100's of millions for land before you unlock everything.
Ouch, so restoring a purchases doesn't restore the utopium bought? So I guess I didn't just lose a few hours of gameplay when my game got erased. I lost money too. That really sucks.
Yes, consumables are NOT restored by Apple. Unfortunate to hear about it. Sorry Lunacy :/. Another reason why we've decided that Cloud will be removed in the upcoming content patch (due next week). For those of you still using it here's how iCloud decides to override data: 1) Compare total LIFETIME utopium earned (doesn't matter if you spent it all). Bigger number will override the other save file. This is highest priority. 2) Compare total LIFETIME coins earned (doesn't matter if you spent it all). Bigger number will override the other save file. This is used in case of a tiebreaker.
Thanks. I have 202 though and don't think the number you said will fill them all. I saw another number in the town hall stats that isn't the same. Are you sure? It would be the difference of a house or two and I was trying to plan out land expansions.
Yeah, I think I'll be taking a break from this game. I tried starting up a new game but without the extra utopium it's really slow getting back to where I was. At this rate I'll be punching trees for a few days. I liked having enough decor to get the 50% expansion upgrade for the first few levels. I thought about buying more Utopium but with my luck my game will get erased again. Maybe I'll start up again after the cloud is official disabled.
It's hard to give the exact amount because my city is totally not organized Plus i'm constantly building new shiny towers and city squares so i have to take all that into account when counting the clones needed. But i did a new count and now i'm at Spoiler 220 so it will be somewhere between 220-224
I get this quite frequently as well. It's usually for the Mechanic, which I think you start with, altho it's interesting in that it mentions a splice recipe - C. Designer + can't remember
