already ran into 1 snag, my post right above this quote lol. Fixed it though. I have never gotten a 50,000 bonus. Only the 5,000. Lets hope thats different this time around.
How does the expansion via Law Firm work? You pay 40u and then is it like a regular upgrade where you get +10 land?
Yep, exactly that. You can skip paying coins for an upgrade by using 40u instead. Keep in mind though, the price of the next upgrade via coins will still increase as per usual after doing so. The Law Firm price of 40u stays the same though. So how much value you get out of it really depends on how late you choose to begin using it. 40u vs. 40,000,000c now or 40u vs. 100,000,000c 6 upgrades from now?
Looking good. Once you've placed all 34 of your decor you might want to plant additional trees to make the collecting process faster. After all, a tree only needs to drop 1u to completely pay for itself, and you can always delete them later when you unlock the Shiny Tower. Not to mention, after you finish buying decor your going to have a lot of unused land before you make it to the Shiny Tower.
Did you purchase any houses that cost both coins and U? The first time I saw my U decrease I panicked but realized it was this that did it.
One small, and seemingly harmless glitch that I've experienced, is that every once in a while when I start my game I get a "Eureka" pack, like when you discover a new job, but it is either for the Mechanic or the Reporter (only 2 jobs that seem to pop back up) and it will actually bump up my total (i.e. I have 116/150 jobs and it will say 117/150) but after I exit the game and return my total goes back to normal. So far it hasn't caused any problems, but I'm a little worried that it might cause some issues if it pushes me to 151/150. The other thing that is kind of weird is that I thought that the Mechanic was a "starter" job along side the Mayor, as in they didn't ever come from a "Eureka" pack in the first place. Has anyone else experienced this?
In my restart game, i logged in 5 times in a row and got this. Didnt check the total though...on the phone right now, but ill check it when im done.
If you go into the arrival centre and click on maintenance there is a 'repair' button. This will fix any broken clones you have that your building has disappeared for in this way. I had the same happen to me with two new jobs popping up within seconds of each other, the first of which had a new building attached to it.
Yes! I launched this game on both my iPhone 4S and iPad 3 (both running iOS 6.1) and neither will prompt Game Center to notice. I don't get the welcome banner from Game Center and it also doesn't show that I have played the game on my Game Center profile, but it is listed as a game of mine. I deleted from both devices and deleted my iCloud save, and reinstalled, no luck. I actually got a friend at work to download the game and launch it and it also didn't welcome him to Game Center. Is anybody else having this issue? Also; is there a purpose, besides cosmetic, for roads? The description says they connect people to each other or something like that, but everything seems to function normally even when it's not connected. I am very early in the game.
To use Game Center you must first make a Spoiler Police Station , then you can access the achievements screen from that building. Once you are on the achievements screen as seen below: You need to tap the Game Center icon in the bottom left corner to turn on Game Center achievements. After you turn on Game Center, tap the reload button next to the Game Center icon to add all of your previously gotten achievements to Game Center. Also, roads are simply cosmetic and have zero impact on game play, they also do not count against your land usage. Most people use them to better organize their towns later in the game when things begin getting too clustered.
cant get achievements for pixel people cant get achievements for pixel people. deleted everything and rreinstalled and still am having problems getting the achievements
interesting article here... http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/04/real-talk-nice-guy-game-developers-make-less-money Makes me wish PP had more IAP options hehe, they'd probably be much higher on the list. Nothing game stopping mind you, but more stuff like the time doubler...which I already bought....
Problem tapping buildings I only started playing this game a couple of days ago, and already am at 100 land and just over 50 clone types... and am totally loving it. Unfortunately, when I start the game up now, I am able to tap buildings/squares to receive money (lightning bolts, trees, etc), but can no longer open any building (or get the info pop up for roads/waterways/decor). This means I can't splice any more people or collect hearts, or anything else inside a building. Help please!!
I hate seeing things like this. I absolutely love the fact that you can actually obtain a usable amount of utopium in this game simply through playing it. I hate games that basically force you to buy their premium currency in order to access certain items in the game, it makes it feel like it's "pay to win". I really hope that every single person who enjoys this game, and this model of doing IAPs, will buy the Double Time IAP, it really is worth the $0.99. Perhaps LambdaMu can come up with some other nice, fair, reasonably priced permanent IAPs to sell players later. I think that most people, myself included, don't like buying consumable IAPs, they seem like a waste of money, but are more than willing to pay for a permanent ability, upgrade, or advantage for a game that they love. A proper IAP should be: 1.) Permanent (Consumable or time based IAPs are frowned upon) 2.) Affordable (most people will pay $0.99 without thinking about it) 3.) Not necessary to play the game (Coin Doublers do this well) 4.) Not be so overpowered as to ruin the challenge/fun of the game (No invincibility IAP) If LambdaMu can make more IAPs that follow those rules and NOT change the existing in game economy then I would be happy to give them more money.
