Has anyone upgraded the arrival center? I might be having a brain fart right now, but the working time at Level 1 is 20 min. Upgrade that and it becomes 40 min. You don't get income from it, but rather more clones...so why would you INCREASE that time? I looked into it thinking it would DECREASE so I can get more in faster? What am I seeing wrong here?
What you're seeing is the Mechanic working overtime on bringing in clones safely and not filing her paperwork well. Utopia Corp. will intervene and remove this anomalous statistical information shortly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I hope you understand - being a Mechanic and earning nothing at the AC is tough. Happy Mayoring!
Ok good. I thought I was going crazy. Thanks for that quick response. Now that I think about it, did this time also increase when I purchased the double time IAP? I thought it was shorter at one point and I assumed it only got longer because I had leveled up (as most games of this type are wont to do). Oh and Lambdamu please tell the mechanic that she is the MVP of the game. My town would be nothing without her.
I'm in the process of this too, currently checking in twice an hour (on the hour and half past) just to get my buildings giving coins again and tapping a couple of hearts/ trees if I see them. So far in 2 hours I have 2.2 million coins, at 626 cps (cps will be increasing slowly as I fill missing jobs in my 'play time' )
ok thks Ivan, but I was asking about the U you collect from trees: When does the daily counter reset? Does it reset at 00:00 everyday, or does it take into account the U collected from trees in the last 24h... Sorry, I'm not a native speaker so sometimes I don't make a lot of sense lol Well, I tried to keep note of the U I got from trees today, I'm already at 19 in the last 8 hours, including a +3 once! Adding 7 from hearts, one from the mine, 27 free U. Game is generous, thks guys Another question, it doesn't seem possible to reset a clone once he's out of the arrival center and has a job. You can reassign him to a new building with the same job, but you can't reset him to Tabula Rasa. Is that it or did I miss sthg?
Once a clone has been spliced they can not change their job. You can change their location of employment, but not their skill.
I know that there is some debate on the usefulness of decor, but I was wondering if anyone knew the maximum Time Discount is it 50% just like the Expansion Discount? I am almost done with the Research Lab heart upgrades (1 left) and I was trying to decide what to spend my utopium on next. I currently have 10 of the 2.0 spirit decors and 10 of the 3.0 spirit decors, I am planning on replacing 8 of the 2.0 ones with 3.0 ones and then adding another 14 of the 3.0 ones. I figure that the best combination for maximum discount, most efficient land usage and least utopium spent is 32 of the 3.0 spirit and 2 of the 2.0 spirit. SPIRIT GAINED (32 * 3) + (2 * 2) = 100 LAND USED 34*1 = 34 UTOPIUM SPENT (32 * 4) + (2 * 2) = 132 You could use 33 of the 3.0 and 2 of the 0.5, but it would use an extra land space and wouldn't save any utopium. Or you could use 33 of the 3.0 and 1 of the 2.0, but it would cost 2 additional utopium and would use the same amount of land. And using 34 of the 3.0 would just be wasteful as it would cost an additional 4 utopium with no land gain. However, if the Time Discount can be even higher than 50%, I will have to rethink my strategy. By the way, if anyone hasn't noticed yet I am a ridiculous meta gamer.
Nice thinking! I didn't even think that time discount wasn't maxed out. To test, I bought a Martian Flower Bed and indeed, the time discount went up to 25.2%. It would be my guess as well that it maxes out at 50% just like expansion discount. So your plan would be theoretically sound in that case. I don't see myself experimenting with it further though, as my goal is to unlock all clones as quickly as possible. This means I need the land for new building types as each land is a potential new unlock. I can't be taking up space with more decor. Good luck with your experiment though!
I'm lost I'm at 149/150 clones so i need to make 1 more but the arrival center isn't giving me an option what to make?? Anybody know what to do (in spoiler please)?? EDIT: got the last one!!
I too am aiming at getting all clones as quickly as possible, which is exactly why I plan on buying more decor. I am at 116/150 jobs unlocked, and unfortunately I am also at the point where every new building that comes with a clone takes over a day to build. My biggest bottleneck right now isn't waiting until I can afford more land, it's waiting until I can assign the clones clogging my Arrival Center to their jobs. Theoretically I can up to 3.8 million coins an hour, in actuality I probably make about 75%-80% of that since I don't always hit my buildings right when they stop, so that means that I am making about 3 million coins an hour. At that rate I can buy land about every day and a half. However I might only be able to use about half of that land on new buildings before my Arrival Center gets clogged up again, therefore to me it is more beneficial to get an additional 25% off of my build time than it is to have more land that I can't use.
Any chance of utopium sale sometime soon? My wife can usually hold off on buying freemium currency, but she can't resist when there's a sale!
Interesting. If you can't use half your land then it's probably worth putting the decor on it to save time. I dunno, I'm still behind with 93/150 so I'll have to evaluate it when I get there. Is it still a flat 4u to speed up construction? I'm looking into splicing all the clones with a land cost early on, so that I keep the free ones for later when land is more expensive and construction timers are longer. That way I figure I can keep splicing as long as the arrival center isn't full of clones waiting for buildings to complete. It might not work though. Just an idea.
After completing all 150 clones i just did the last buiding Spoiler the altar but when you start building it, it says something will happen after completion! Completed it quick with 4u because i wanted to find out what that was. I put the last clone Spoiler the centaur in that building aaaaaaaaaand........nothing happens???? Anybody know what should happen??
Maybe this has been discussed but I just started playing and going from one device to another my progress doesn't transfer, it's as if it is saved on the device and not on iCloud, even though it says its loading from the iCloud.
Woke up this morning, and my game showed no city. I had over 100 clones so this was upsetting. Deleted the app and reloaded from cloud, back to tutorial. Delete app and iCloud save game like chillingo's FAQ says, back to tutorial. I don't think i have patience to build from scratch again. A similar thing happened in pocket planes, 26th level then gone. Why do they keep pushing to backup in the cloud when it's not safe?
I haven't tried myself, as I only own 1 iDevice, but I have read every single post in this thread. It is my understanding that the way to transfer data from 1 device to the other is to Uninstall and Reinstall the game on the 2nd device that you want to transfer to. For example: 1.) Download and install game on iPhone. Turn on iCloud and play for a while, when you quit the save should be backed up on iCloud. 2.) Download and install game on iPad. Turn on iCloud and your save data should be loaded from iCloud since this is the first time that you have played on this device and therefore should not have any local save data. when you quit, the game should be backed up on iCloud. 3.) If you then want to transfer your new save data from the iPad to the iPhone, you'll need to uninstall (a.k.a. delete) the game on the iPhone in order to clear the local save data on the iPhone which for some reason takes priority over the iCloud save data. After you Install the game back on the iPhone, turn on iCloud and your save data should be loaded from iCloud since you just installed the game on this device and therefore should not have any local save data. when you quit, the game should be backed up on iCloud. As you can see, if you have local save data the game will load that instead of loading the iCloud save data. At least this is the way that I understand it, if I am wrong could someone else please correct me?
Someone from Chillingo needs to have a talk with someone from Backflip about how to use iCloud. I enjoy the game but its getting 2 stars from me until this is resolved.
It seems like the problem is the load order. The way iCloud should work: iCloud Off -> Save to Local, Load from Local iCloud On -> Save to Local and iCloud, Load from iCloud if there is a network connection available or from Local if there is no network connection The way iCloud seems to work in this game: iCloud Off -> Save to Local, Load from Local iCloud On -> Save to Local and iCloud, Load from Local if local save data is found or from iCloud if no local data is found Also, as some others have noted, having iCloud turned on seems to cause the game to lag slightly and use addition battery (probably as the game constantly keeps backing up to iCloud). I tend to turn iCloud off while I am playing and only turn it on about a minute before I plan on quitting.
