If this is answered somewhere, I missed it, so my possible apology for repeating a question : If you use the "legal loophole" to level up and expand your land, does it affect your coin expansion price, or does that only go up when you expand via coins?
Spoiler Accelerated Research is available at the Gene Pool. It allows you to spend coins in order to get an instant "Surprise" a.k.a. fill up all hearts. Mine currently costs 2,000,000 coins. You get the Gene Pool by creating a Geneticist (Scientist + Doctor).
So I just discovered that Spoiler the church has an option that increases your land by 1 for every 8u you donate. Is there a max to the amount of land you can have?
I see. I'll have to check the trees a bit more often. One thing I'd like to see is the arrival center working automatically. I mean, I'll start building a residential, put the app away for a couple hours, and then come back with it completed, but there are no new clones. The clone arrival timer doesn't start until I open the app again. They should start arriving as soon as a new residential is finished building.
Don't waste your utopium. Spoiler The Law Firm has an option to get 10 land for 40u, which is half the price of the Church (40/10 = 4u per land). As far as I know, there is no limit on how much land you can have. Also, another building with a special feature that no one has mentioned yet Spoiler The Fortune Teller will display one new gene splicing combo a day.
I don't find any problem with the decor at all. You must be adding too much too soon. 3% of 1,000,000 is the same as 30% of 100,000 but you don't need that much discount early on. Your cps can cover expansion costs if you just add 1-2 decor per level. I've done it twice now and maxed out around 110 land. No problem at all. Percent discounts have greater impact on larger amounts so that's when you should ramp up the decor for big savings. As you've found out, you're simply wasting valuable land on decor early on, land that could be producing cps via trees or buildings. You'll make much more coin than the pitiful amounts you save on such cheap expansion costs. Remember, a larger percentage of nothing is still nothing.
Spoiler I think I've heard somewhere that there is a max level after which you won't be able to expand the land by leveling up anymore. I was wondering if church donations bypass that limit.
Got me excited for a minute. I thought it meant Spoiler increase the land you get per expansion by 1! How awesome would that have been?
Certain people (impatient people mostly) are claiming that at a certain point it just isn't feasible to purchase land with coins anymore, not that you will no longer be able to.
I can't remember, where can you get the list of animals you've unlocked, and see the list you haven't? I can't find it for the life of me now.
tap on the top center of the screen, this will bring up the job pages, then tap on the yellow cat button on the lower left corner to see animals.
Maths obviously isn't your strong point. His point was that it's never worth buying decor to save points, especially later on. The expansion cost for an extra 10 land doubles every time later on, and the ratio of discount:space used for decor is too small for you to ever save coins, even with the best decor available. The amount of land used by the decor means that your expansion costs will ALWAYS increase faster than your discount, whether you do it early on or not, if you buy 1-2 at a time or 10 at once. The only possible benefit to decor is the reduced times, but even that's pretty pointless: unless you shell out for IAP, your limiting factor is still going to be the time it takes to save for the next expansion, not the build/arrival times.
After playing pretty frantically this weekend, booting up tonight, the game froze and crashed. After restarting my iPad twice, the game boots up now, but has restarted from the very beginning. Game Center seems to show a weird point in the game, for example, I had about 110 unlocked professions, now it shows only 90% complete for page 1 achievement. I wouldn't mind restarting, but I did buy IAP, and that's gone too. When I use City Hall and try to restore, it says its restored, but nothing happens. Any ideas how to fix? Tried starting through Game Center and no difference. Tried deleting and reinstalling and nothing changed.
Thank goodness someone else understands the game! I have been trying to read this thread and figure out where all the complaining was coming from. I finally just chalked it up to laziness.
Re: battery life - I turned off iCloud (cuz I wasn't playing too much on the iPad and it didn't work always anyway) AND turned off the news alerts (you will find this setting in a building) and now it works well. Would love to see that optimized at some point though because I kind of want to turn iCloud back on so I don't have to fear losing my progress. At least it is a big fix though in the meantime.
I've been putting in decorations for every solar plexus, plus trees to fill in blanks. I didn't really think about what maximizes the income. I'm all about quality of life I guess. I did spread the clones out a bit too thin though. Quite a lot of depth to discover in this little game.
