As I never encountered any Green combinations, I suspect that's just there to complete the "rhyme" and they don't actually exist. But don't quote me on that.

Perhaps we are in agreement after all then. :)

I'm faring a bit better on my second attempt. After a day of playing I'm at 120 land with 54 jobs unlocked vs 3 days to open 160 land with 74 jobs unlocked (but a population of 102!) on the first attempt. Very bad housing and cloning choices I made then. This time I have a lot more trees and therefore better Utopium production which I hope will help when I hit that 160 land barrier again soon. I'm just waiting on two shiny towers to finish. Will report what I find tomorrow.

Yeah, I did.. which annoys me, but ultimately, it was really due to my own impatience, so whatever.. I think it should be a lot easier to obtain utopian or whatever it is.. Expansion was my problem..

The thing about the green being part of the rhyme makes sense now that I re-read it, but I swear i've seen a green combo.. it could have been yellow, it was sort of a yellow-green as i recall..

and is there somewhere I can see my total CPS production?

Clicking on the Business Center will show your current and potential CPS.

And yeah, it's pretty tempting if you just want to be "done" with the game to spend $7.99 on 250 Utonium and buy six expansions at once regardless of the cost. (What's your current coin cost to expand, BTW? Do they keep increasing by 20,000,000 more / 10,000,000 with discount with each level?)

Wasting about 20 land on trees might be a necessity just to get the Utonium necessary to ignore those prices. You can get 40+ in a day if you harvest tress and hearts, but that gets tedious after awhile ...

That's one of the biggest issues right now - you can only delete a building if it's empty, and you can't relocate people to a different residential building.

So most players bought heavy in the "starting housing," then reach a point where land becomes vital, would like to invest in more efficient houses, but can't do it.

You'll see a lot more complaints about that in the days to come when more players reach the point where it's necessary, and I'm sure a patch will be pushed through eventually to allow proper housing management.

Just wanted to quickly mention that rocky mansions and shiny towers are actually very comparable in terms of utopium cost.

Keep in mind that the are other options to expand your land. Once you consider that, the basic idea is: if you built too much rocky mansions, no biggie, just put in the extra utopium you save (for avoiding shiny towers) for the legal loophole.

    I agree.

Way too many "Verucas" in this thread and I hope the devs aren't taking them seriously. There actually is some depth to way this game presents trade-offs in your city's development. Unfortunately, present any depth in what appears a purely casual builder and cries of "PAYWALL!", "GRIND!", "IDIOT DEV OVERSIGHT! (paraphrasing ;))", etc. take over.

Just ignore them, because they'll either quit without paying anything or they'll stick it out long enough to begin complaining there's "nothing" to do. The pacing, the choices in how you should approach things, consequences/benefits, etc. were obviously well thought out in spite of whatever the complainers want to tell themselves.

(Most ironic comment I saw was panning this game versus Tiny Tower... at their core, TT & PP are very similar games, only PP just went and sliced 66% of the micromanagement and pure busy work out of the design)

Question: Do trees do anything more than take up land space and randomly gift $100 and 1 utopium?

Also, does anyone have any tip to get free utopium beside gambling on trees?

Collecting the 11 hearts also gives utopiums sometimes.

I'm at level 17, and to expand to 18 would cost me $130,900,000.. Once I got to where it costs 8 or 9 million for the next one, I used Utopian to level up, and I can't see using the money again for it.. it's 40u to expand for me as well, and I think earlier in my expansion it was only 30u (using the Law Firm).. That's a better deal at a certain point..

i'm currently making 1444 CPS, to whoever asked..

Also, here's a couple issues I've found with the game

    1. As mentioned, you can't delete houses even if you have that available housing for the people who live in the house you want to delete.

    2. You can't move buildings to a spot that overlaps where that building is, in other words, if you have a 2x1 building and you have an open space next to it, you can't move that building one block over, you have to move it somewhere else, THEN move it the one block over..

    3. ROTATE

    4. also mentioned, The "Return to Town Center" message is incredibly annoying, and the answer in all cases is 'No'.

    5. Utopian needs to be easier to find

    6. You should be able to increase building speed..

Trees are just for the $100, $1000 or 1 Utopium. I guess the only reason to have more than what's given is to reach the 25 daily without actively playing too much.

And yea, you can get Utopium from filling out hearts. 2 or 5. And also the daily from the mine. I used to get 1 and now I get 2 from it. Not sure if it's a random thing or you get more as you level?

Sheriffs office (suspects), achievements, utonium mine, trees, heart meter, and of course IAP are ways to get utonium.

Also you can buy land expansion at the church if you make a donation. And the law office as well.

Yes, but it all gets thrown out the window later on, left with "Coins are your score and aren't used for anything."

Unless you want to wait around for upgrade costs that will eventually exceed 100 million (even with a 50% discount), you spend a fixed 40 Utonium per upgrade at the Law Firm and forget cash altogether.

So all the pacing, all the strategy, everything gets made irrelevant due to the Law Firm's legal loophole. That feels like a band-aid, not a solution. Your mileage may vary.

I'm really loving this game so far. It's the only game that I have been playing on my iPod since downloading it. :)

Has anyone maxed out the heart bonus yet? I'm just wondering what the Max reduction is.

I think it says in the achievements that you can get 10 of 11 filled.

Having found all 150 jobs, I'm wondering if I should post all the combinations? Is that too spoilery? Maybe I can hide it in the post...
