We're trying to track this one down. More information will help: 1) Did you press the red "X" button when loading your cities? 2) Do you play across multiple devices? 3) Was internet connection reliable?
For this game, I am not yet using the Internet features. So there is no red X at the start screen, not using multiple devices, and not using Internet features (although I do have a strong connection on the device).
Hi, I leveled up to level 25 but there's no Black Market offer. Did anything change regarding this? Last time it was offered immediately to me upon leveling up. I was sort of depending on it... edit: I got it when I reached level 26.
I started a new game yesterday on my wife's iPad 2. I forgot how pretty fun and fast paced the game was in the beginning I'm at level 9 already. The arcade has been 500k all along. Does it go up at the next level? If so I should try getting some AG stuff before expanding I guess. Not sure I'll go very far though as the CC strategy is dead and I don't want 2 big similar games. I got Utopia HQ and the good and easy missions are very different from later in the game (all the missions give you 1m coins)
I have also stopped at Level 9 to focus on AG items (the Casino is still $2M). What I have learned is that the game is much more of a grind if you sit around and wait. The most fun I have had is level up over and over quickly along with quick expansion. This means that the game has a limited shelf life, because once your city is very large (like my regular game and even my CC game), all the maintenance is a choir without much payoff. For a casual player, I actually think the original game with ~155 jobs was the perfect size game. Consume in a week or two and move on. IMHO the Casino (now Arcade) ultimately detracts from the game. It is a great bone for the long time players, but for new players it is a negative. Everyone will love using the claw to get prizes. The downside is that it takes away from the fast paced nature of the (early part of the ) game and the AG decor and housing makes all cities look alike. I really liked scouring through the various decor to make my city unique, but the AG decor is a strong incentive to not every buy any decor that costs coins, u, and land. I really wish that the developers had given us some sort of way to turn existing decor into AG. You keep your own ascetic and you get the benefits of AG.
I strongly agree with this. It would have been much better if we had all the original housing, décor and trees in both normal and astroglass versions, instead of (or in addition to) 3 new houses, 4 (then 7) new décor types, and only 1 new tree type. Part of the casual play I enjoy with this game is "cityscaping", and I can still do that long after I've found all my clones. Adding all the shoreline décor in 1.5 gave me lots new things to play with (for no gameplay benefit other than having fun in the sandbox) but I'd still like more options.
clone bug hit me also Today I was also hit with the bug others have reported. I was trying to upgrade clones to 3cps versions by simply splicing new blanks at the arrival center. I've done this same sequence hundreds of times: select the genes, wait 10s, see what I get, spend 1u to delete if it's a 1cps or 2cps, or delete the old guy from a building and move the new one if I get a "collector's edition". I first saw the "THIS JOBS IS WAITING FOR ASSIGNMENT" message with the Gardener. I then deleted one of my existing 3 gardeners to open up a slot, but that didn't help. As Vic had reported, I noticed that one of my 2 remaining gardeners now had two jobs. I deleted that one, and am now stuck with just one. I cannot delete him (get the "CANNOT DELETE UNIQUE CHARACTER" message), and I can't clone any new gardeners. I tried moving him to the hotel and back with no effect. I sent him to the altar for an upgrade, which shows on his specific page, but the gallery still shows the gardener in blue: Since then, I have been able to re-splice other clones without trouble, but the gardener is still borked.
If any mayors out there can send us their saves with the following bugs, that would be really helpful 1. Clone waiting for assignment / Cannot delete dupes bug. Remember to mention which character is giving your problems in your email 2. Splicing stuck at AC. Send your saves to [email protected] so we have some more data in chasing this one down. So I just unlocked the OCD achievement, but I still have like 40 more unique jobs to get gold for. Maybe the achievement is coded to unlock after turning 255 jobs to gold instead of the unique jobs?
How do we send you our saved files? Where do I find that? The same bug just happened to me a second time, so I've got two clones in that state.
Does the order of splicing matter? To the lamdamu team, Appreciate the attention and quick response the mother ship is providing us mayors. Thanks in advance! After experiencing the stuck splicing problem with "Waiting for job to be assigned", I took care to try splicing all my newest upgrade clones in the correct order as listed in the formulas. (ie Biker = cyclist & strongman. NOT strongman & cyclist) So far it haven't gotten anymore stuck spliced since I've tried this strategy. Even when I splice a character multiple times in order to get a 2 or 3 CPS clone. Hope this gives a clue to help fix the solution.

Today it happened again to me. I noticed that after I sent my clone to mothers hip the banner appeared saying clone sent to mother ship. I started splicing the same job again whilst the banner was still showing. That's where the bug struck.

Does anyone know how to "spend way too much time at the arcade"? I spent 20 times in a row but still didn't get the mission. Is it 50 times? Thanks...
