The Spoiler Dock You need to splice the Spoiler Sea Dog = Captain + Buccaneer You might need to complete a mission at Utopia HQ to be able to create the job though.
Hrm. I just completed this mission Spoiler (the H2O one, yeah?) and it won't let me splice these two together. Also, I tapped on the Garage and saw that there was a new job available there. I paid 5u to unlock the formula for Spoiler Car Washer = Janitor + Model but that's also grayed out and won't let me splice those either.
I agree with everyone else. fB is for personal friends. I would love to trade etc but no way is my real life getting mixed up in gaming stuff. Pls hurry up with GC Ivan.
I am fairly certain that some of the mission rewards are mixed up, as I gained access to those jobs after completing the mission that requires 3 secret animals. Even though that mission claimed that it gave me the formulas for the 5 secret jobs (which I already had, probably from the mission you did).
I've just started playing this game. I really love it I have 3 questions: 1. What do I need animals for? Is it just kind of collectibles? 2. How to spend the utopia points? I don't want to waste it... 3. Is there any effective, fast way to get friends?
1. You use animals to complete missions at the Utopia HQ once you've unlocked it. 2. Utopium can be used for many things, but you should save it for things that really need it. Like the secret genes that cost 100u, or missions that unlock new content (top 2 mission slots). Once your timers for buildings reach over 24 hrs you might want to use 4u to speed those up too. 3. Me too..since I am only missing 3 secret jobs of which I know the name of one. If you look at the pAge with the secret jobs, I am missing 14-16. And NOT 14-16 on the listing in the secret hideout. No other jobs/missions via utopia hq are showing either. Have done all of the MUA missions too..nada there. Maybe these jobs haven't been unlocked yet...?? Know that it isn't via trade or visiting others either. Did get an odd prompt outside the game saying it needed its mayor (but didnt see anything with that)
It is going to cost me 590Mu to get the OCD achievement Which would require either: A) 14750u B) 7375u + 8.85 Billion coins + 590 Pandas C) 4950u + 11.88 Billion coins + 590 spiders + 590 of whatever other animal that mission needs D) 5900u + 1770 Mythical animals + 1770 Primates E) INSANE luck while visiting friends. That is purely too much grinding for me to do.
worth it? Hmm...Just saw there was an update and downloaded, but have to say I'm uninspired by it so far. Facebook? No way I'm joining that cult again. It was way too hard to extricate myself the first time I became ensnared. And the rest of the game doesn't look much different, other than new jobs and lots of alterations that actually look more like hassles than improvements (having to wait to do coin-paid casino spins, etc). Are they seriously asking people to pay $25 for the benefit of getting more daily animals? I thought that had to be a typo. So, my question is, to those that might be in my shoes...that is, someone that's played the game through the last update, but has since kind of gotten sick of the basic game after waiting for something new (and playing the same old thing to build up utopium and coins, just cause there was nothing else to do) ...is this new update changing the game for you in a way that makes it fresh, or does it feel like the same basic game?
Catbus, I also feel that the new update adds more hassle than value. I haven't yet decided whether to stick with it, and see if the many bugs and annoyances are dealt with, or just delete. I'm kind of leaning towards deleting, at this point, as I'm not really having fun any more, and I don't want to mess around with Facebook. It's a shame; this game started out well. But I'm not sure it's developing in a good direction.
I don't do FB either so maybe the new, exciting stuff is in that aspect. Other than that it's the same game with added grinding to meet the achievements and to earn Mu to splice the new animals and upgrade the clones at the Altar. I will probably keep going until I unlock all the new jobs but after that it will be difficult to stay interested I think. And I will not be paying $25 for anything either no matter how spectacular it is.
I am really loving the animal splicing. Only got 14/20 so far, but it's giving me something to chew over. I'm also trying to find the last two clones. Dunno if anyone has them yet and can give any small hints that wouldn't totally ruin the fun. Spoiler The only thing I've noticed so far is that the clones in the Secret Hideout are in the same order as in the Courthouse, and the three mystery clones (Mermaid + ? + ?) would fit *in between* the two pages in the Hideout. Interesting... Also, not sure about all the new buildings either. Spoiler The update said there were 15 new ones...so far I have 11, and I understand that you get one for completing all animals. That would be 12...maybe each of the last two jobs has a building, and the IAP upgraded Animal Shelter counts as a building too?
I just started playing a day before the patch. Prior to the patch I had my people and animals walking around the city. Now it's just empty streets. What's up with this? Also I have the same pet shop tutorial bug mentioned above, which is really annoying. Another minor bugger is that I can't restock my houses if they're not completely visible, e.g. If the heart meter is covering them partially. And please reconsider the prices for the IAP. Before the patch I thought about buying the upgrade for the u-mine, if I end up liking the game. I think it was 5 or 6 then, which already is a lot. But 21,99? Are you serious? Who in their right mind would buy that? Anyways, it's a fun little game.
The mine upgrade is only worth it in 100 days if you define "worth it" as "having gathered its own store value in utopium," and nothing more. To me, that isn't worth it, at all, because I wouldn't spend that much on consumables, anyway, and would rather put in the time and gather utopium, myself. Paying for itself in utopium is illusory value, at best, and at worst, actually shortens the entertaining lifespan of the game, by making it easier to speed things along.
Thanks all. I'm gonna just let this game age for a while. Just can't get motivated to get back into it, at least right now. Maybe they'll come up with a new wrinkle at some point that just doesn't seem like more variations on the same theme. Still surprised there's no space alien dimension to it, given that it's set in space and all.
