Hi Ivan. My city got wiped out and i had deleted the app this morning. Now when I try to play i have to go thru the tutorial every time. If i log in to Facebook it starts me back at the tutorial. If i get any progress and leave the game then come back and hit either the red or green, i have to go thru the tutorial again. Plz help
The problems I and several others have reported, where the game crashes when attempting to use social features. Not as dramatic as a city wipe, but still a pretty irritating problem.
Definitely hear you guys on the prices as it is so far. We will definitely be monitoring the prices as we go along. As of now, the Pet Store price may be a little too high... With respect to this, I'd also like to add that we'll be implement a feature for non-consumable IAPs soonish (next patch hopefully), that would make the prices actually worthwhile.
I have a similar issue with the mini tutorial for that building playing every time I start or go back into the game, however I have not linked to Facebook and have not tried to use the visit function. Additionally, the game view moved away from the city whenever that tutorial re runs so I have to tap the return to origin button after acknowledging the tutorial messages.
I'd like to come back to this game since the update, but after reading about all these glitches I guess I'm going to wait a bit.
Here's an interesting bug I'm experiencing. When I tap Return to Origin it takes me to an empty background with no land or buildings. I can scroll all over the place and the city wont show up at all. The only way I can make the city reappear is to tap the screen with 3 fingers.
What device are you playing on? Have you trying syncing the game across devices? (iPhone <-> iPad for eg).
Unless that feature is sending us gift cards for $60, when we've purchased all available IAP, or unlocking several more full games, I can't imagine it will make this particular game worth $70+. It just doesn't have that much gameplay in it. I've spent 200+ hours, over several months, completing console games I've picked up for $40 or less. I just can't foresee getting that kind of value out of a game of this nature. I do spend money on games like this, when I am enjoying them, whether I need to or not. It's only fair, as they take a lot of work to put together and keep going. I'll buy some utopium, once the Facebook bugs are fixed. But what you are asking for building upgrades is not now and cannot ever be reasonable, for the vast majority of players. I honestly think you'd make more money if you priced each upgrade between $1 and $5. I'd definitely have got some, if you had. As things stand, I won't be bothering with any. :-(
Just wanted to say I really like Pixel People Best game I have played in a while. Anybody can add me to trade stuff share cities or whatnot, I go as "Tabula Rasa"
Has anyone worked out how to add a water tile? In the Terrain menu all I can see is a land tile. Not sure if a bug or the water tile needs to be unlock somehow?
I have this same issue on iPhone 5, although I am logged in to Facebook (with no friends playing the game).
Same here, wether I killed the app or not, every time I open PP again, I got the 3 steps mini tutorial for the Telephone Company with the mechanic and the big Ok buttons and the hand on the building asking me to connect to Facebook. Pretty boring I didn't and don't want to connect PP to FB anyway, Game center would be better suited imho, that's where my gaming iOs buddies are anyway. I also won't bother creating a fake FB's profile for this game Although I understand the usefulness of FB's spamming between teenagers for developpers, and it seems a constant on latest Chillingo releases.
GC is our next priority. Our planned system is to allow users to sign in to both and have a 'combined' friends list from both if they prefer.
Soo, im at a loss, what to do now? I've spliced all the initial clones and gotten the buildings that followed with them. Cant figure out the next step. Please help! I've not gotten the sea tiles either. Edit! Ah, figured it out!
I'm definitely liking the animal splicing addition, although not too thrilled about new mu currency feature. Best option for me is to do the missions for mu. On-line feature looks good but I don't FB. I was saving up 100u for the 10mu reward, but figured I'd skip it to cycle through the other options. There was a 2mu and 6mu mission available as well. Crunching the numbers, the 6mu mission (Goldblum, I think) is the most bang for your buck if you're looking to use the least u.
I've also encountered the telephone company game crashing bug - I got the tutorial that's supposed to teach me how to visit friends, but when I click the "visit" button inside a "please wait" sign is shown, and then the game crashes. Then it needs to sync after launching, and shows the tutorial popups again after entering the town. The new in-app prices are insane - 15 or 20 for a bit of convenience? I've bought the double work time IAP because it seemed the right price for that. At its current price I probably wouldn't have bought it. And certainly I don't see spending over 10 on a single IAP ever becoming reasonable. For 15 even on iOS you can get awesome AAA games like X-Com or The World Ends With You. How can "get some more animals" try to play in that same price league? The new IAP prices are turning me off the game, since the game has to be balanced around them to promote sales, and that means it's going to become more and more unreasonable to try and have fun in the game without spending a ton of . @Ivan - no hard feelings towards you, I understand it's probably the publisher who makes the pricing point decisions, but the current IAP changes have to be probably the worst I've seen in a game. Oh well, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot reversed it's IAP transformation after players protested, perhaps there's a small chance Chillingo will also listen to players feedback.
