Does the lumber mill actually work for 24 hours now, or does it still only work for the remainder of the day it's activated?
I get the point, but to my knowledge, the creators of Tiny Towers or Happy Street are pretty small teams and managed to include Game Center as the way to visit others and interact with their game worlds (Happy Street especially) just fine. Even if I wanted to log in to FB, none of my friends there play your game, while many on my GC list do.
Same here...0 on Facebook. So please implement soon (and/or th3 removal of the annoying 3 popup messages) Altar - based on my earlier report, you could use it to remove people vs using the mother ship option and thus save 1 mu/deletion. I sure hope that wasn't the reason for implementing it, barring the upgrade of cps. Since right now you can move people to the altar and get them deleted by moving another person ito the altar. And the building that was built for them still gets built. Guess this gives new meaning to sacrifice!! Lol
Hey guys, I've had a chance to check out the new update and here are some of my notes about it: 1. Lambda Mu has finally decided to start encoding their plist files. This means that I can no longer divulge to all of you the many fun and interesting things hidden within their coding but I knew this was coming since they had the encrypted plists in the last update, but they forgot to remove the unencrypted files (oops ). 2. A new premium currency has been created "Mutopium". You begin with 5 Mutopium or Mu as it is abbreviated. To earn more Mu, you need to either visit other Mayor's (friends') towns, completing missions (that require A LOT of coins and utopium) or you can buy 1Mu for 25u in the shop. Mutopium is used to splice "Secret" animals (no. 3 below) and upgrade jobs at the Altar (no. 4 below). 3. There was however, one file that they didn't encrypt, which is the Animals list. There are a total of 20 new "Secret" animals added to the game. To unlock them you need to go the the animal list by tapping the top center of the status bar, then tapping the yellow cat icon in the bottom left corner of the jobs list. Once you are in the animals list, you need to swipe the screen to the left 4 times (you have to use the swipe because there is no scroll button on page 4). Once you are on page 5 you'll see a bunch of "?" boxes. If you tap on a "?' box it will bring up a splicing interface similar to the one at the Arrival Station, however unlike the one at the Arrival Station, you MUST find the splicing combo for the animal listed at the bottom of the window. Only that combo will work for that box. Each splice costs 1Mu (see no. 2 above). Here is a list of all of the Secret animal combinations (obviously massive spoilers): Spoiler Hippogryph = Goat + Eagle PEGASUS = Horse + Eagle GRYPHON = Lion + Eagle PHOENIX = Dragon + Flamingo HYDRA = Snake + Cerberus CERBERUS = Golden Retriever + Chow Chow ORIENTAL DRAGON = Dragon + Panda NESSIE = Orca + Snake YETI = Polar Bear + Gorilla DROP BEAR = Koala + Red Panda NARWHAL = Harp Seal + Unicorn MERLION = Trout + Lion Rocket Cat = Tom Cat + Oriental Dragon CTHULU = Octopus + Dragon SABERTOOTH = Tiger + Elephant DIREWOLF = Wolf + Tiger SPHINX = Lion + Chimpanzee WOOLY MAMMOTH = Elephant + Sheep Chimera = Lion + Goat Chupacabra = Panther + Crocodile 4. There are now 3 "levels" for each job. Unlike previous versions of Pixel People where the CPS was based on the job, now the level determines the job's CPS. Level 1 is standard/normal/common or whatever you want to call it, they come in the normal red Eureka! packs when you splice a job and they have a light blue background in the jobs list and in buildings. Level 1 jobs only have a production rate of 1CPS. Level 2 is Limited Edition, they come in silver Eureka! packs when you splice a job and they have a dark gray background in the jobs list and in buildings. Level 2 jobs have a production rate of 2CPS. Level 3 is Collectors Edition, they come in black Eureka! packs when you splice a job and they have a gold background in the jobs list and in buildings. Level 3 jobs have the maximum production rate of 3CPS. When creating a job you have a chance at receiving a level 1, 2, or 3 for that job (I'm am not sure if it is random or predetermined though). You can upgrade a job at the Altar. To do this you need to tap on a clone that has the job you wish to upgrade and then tap the yellow relocate (beam me up) icon in the top left of the window, then select the Altar. NOTE ONLY SEND ONE CLONE TO THE ALTAR AT A TIME. The Altar only has one slot and sending more than one clone will cause you to LOSE YOUR CLONES. Once you send a clone to the Altar you need to tap on the Altar building. Inside the Altar building you will see the clone that you sent there and a button with an Mu symbol on it. It costs 1Mu to upgrade from Level 1 to Level 2, and 2Mu to upgrade from Level 2 to Level 3. Upgrading a clone only affects THAT clone (i.e. upgrading the Detective from the Police Station to level 2 WILL NOT upgrade the Detectives at the Law Firm or the Forensic Lab), however it WILL update the job on the jobs list. So in order to get the "OCD" achievement you need only 1 of each job at level 3. 5. There are also 8 new "Secret" jobs in the jobs list (on hidden pages 13 & 14, just swipe left from page 12). The first 5 are listed in the Secret Hideout after completing a mission at the Utopia HQ. I am not sure how to view the last 3 yet. There are a few bugs right now, such as IAPs disappearing every time you launch the game. Also IAP prices have been hiked up substantially ($15.99 for the Ministry of Love and $24.99 for the Newtopium Mine). There is also a new IAP upgrade for the Animal Shelter that allows you to collect 9 animals a day from the animal shelter, it costs $24.99. The current total cost of the game now, assuming you buy all non-consumable IAP is $70.96, that is more than ANY current console or PC game. I know it is optional, but those prices are pretty ridiculous right now. Due to the change in how CPS is determined by job level, my Pixel People spreadsheet (in my signature) is going to take a while to be updated. I am still deciding how to proceed with a redesign. One last thing, since they have decided to use the Facebook friends list instead of the Game Center one, and it seems that gaining Mutopium is going to be the new major bottleneck of the game, please send me a friend request on Facebook so that I can collect a gift from your town, and you can collect one from mine. Here is a link to my Facebook account Ted Barnes please let me know that the request is for Pixel People otherwise I will likely ignore it.
The Lumber Mill event "Over Logging!" still only lasts until midnight when the trees reset. Can someone figure out if the Farm event "Bumper Season!" now continues to double income even while the app is closed?
City lost after update Hello I just updated to 1.5 and launched the game.. My old city started and then I realized the small cloud icon in the lower left. I tapped it, the Facebook signup popped up and I signed in. After that I was back at the start-screen and tapped the screen. BOOM! I find myself in an empty city and the tutorial starts. My City with all genes so far discovered is gone. I quit the game, restart it. Same situation. Even if I start playing the new city and complete the tutorial, after I reopen the game (few minutes later or so) the tutorial starts again... I restored my iPhone5 from a Backup and tried it again.. same problem. Are there any fixes, workarounds or should I wait for the next update? Sebastian
GC support would be great. None of my FB friends play and I don't HAVE any GC friends (lol) but I'd love to become GC friends with some of the other fine people who post on this forum, so I can partake in the new social features.
Should note that there are impending changes to the IAP that we plan to implement over the next few updates which would make the purchases worth while! But as always, game is optional without them, there is no obligation to purchase them.
We've found the problem. Two things to note: 1) NO ONE HAS ACTUALLY LOST THEIR GAME SO FAR. We've designed a failsafe that will allow a user to retrieve his save game a vast majority of the time. In order to facilitate restoration, contact [email protected] 2) We've identified the circumstances that is causing the city 'wipes' for most people. We are in the process of nailing it down, but I can safely say this: DO NOT TAP ON THE GAME SCREEN WHILE THE GAME IS LOGGING IN TO FACEBOOK FOR THE FIRST TIME. Wait till the Sync is complete. From then on, your data is 100% safe and you will never experience the threat of city lost ever again. Finally, some good news, there is a chance that the fix to the problem that people are experiencing is entirely a server side fix. So hang tight as we look into it.
More updates are planned? Last christmas I got my mom addicted to Pixel People while home for Christmas when she got an iPad, so I gradually get texts asking when new content is coming. -_- She was so excited today she had to text me lmao. I guess being into gaming in a way is genetic?
Oh, Utopia. How I have missed you. It's been such a long time since I visited. Forgive me. Enjoying visiting other people's towns. Interesting to see how different they are.
Hey Ivan, I have a bug to report as well. I have a request in my Trading Mailbox that crashes my game to my springboard every time i tap it. The request is from "100001417266727" It seems like there was some sort of data corruption when the request was either sent or received, but I can't delete it from my mailbox Here is a picture:
Possible minor bug: Spoiler Re: achievement "Gift Horse": The text suggests that it refers to gifts from vising other cities, but in game it appears that using the claw at the Arcade counts towards it as well. Edit: Another: I was fiddling with trading, and in the trade accepted window I hit OK, and it said finalizing, but then the window didn't clear and I was able to hit it again and it said finalizing again. Gamecenter now thinks I have done two trades. I can't tell you if the trade actually went through once or twice because, um, the trade was a swap of two of the same animals (just testing and fiddling!). So, not sure if the bug is with trading or just GC, but either way.
