Help my game died. I get the front screen with the Tap to Continue button but it doesn't work. I've rebooted my iPad and still nothing. Suggestions?
Excellent game, theres always something to do haven't hit a pay wall yet, the game seems pretty generous. Love the whole design!
I've just read back a dozen pages. Some of you sure are hardcore PPers! As for me, now that I have one of everything and have no real desire to build multiple copies of buildings, I'm generally just logging in once per day to collect the shelter, casino, and mine freebies, and tap each building once. If I collect a u or two from trees while I'm doing this then so much the better. I see an update is on its way so I'm sure I'll end up going back to collecting 25/50 u per day once that hits. All I really want from an update is bridges so my roadways can cross over my waterways.
Is there a coded cap on spirit? I could have sworn that I broke 1,000 yesterday but today I seem to be back in the 970 range. But I admit I haven't really been paying attention. Edit: Carnival was active and then ended. Totally forgot that, ignore me.
i completed the astroglass house mission. is there a way to build them now or is the only way to acquire them through winning them in the casino?
They primarily come from the casino. The mission is a way to get a GH now and then if your casino luck is really really awful...the mission will recur in the future (and I believe was not necessary to unlock them at the casino).
This game is losing a lot of steam. They need to put out an update soon. I'm not even talking about the "huge" 1.5 update, even if they just put out a bug fix with like 1 or 2 new things it will renew people's interest. I assume that a lot of players are at the same place that I am, sitting on a couple thousand utopium and several hundred million (if not billions) of coins with nothing to do with them anymore. I am at such a surplus that I don't even bother playing anymore. The problem that is going to arise is "How do you drain the surplus of currencies from end game players without adding ridiculous inflation for new players?" That will be a difficult question for the devs to answer. If they don't address the surplus wealth, all of the rich players will blow through the update in a day and complain about having nothing to do again. Conversely if they make things in the update cost hundreds of utopium and millions of coins then the game will be inaccessible to new players. But they also can't really make prices based on player level anymore because of all the people who are running low level games by abusing the Church and Casino. They also shouldn't base prices on a percentage of your total wealth, because that would make it seem pointless to increase your town's CPS or to try to collect more utopium. As I said, the devs have put themselves in quite a predicament that will be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to correct.
I agree with most of your points. I log in once a day to get my 10u from the mine, but don't even bother with workaholic, trees, or even the casino. I had tons of resources for 1.4 and was able to blow through the update very quickly. I don't see how this gets resolved easily. One suggestion would be VERY expensive but VERY useful new residences or decor. Maybe a couple hundred million + a couple hundred u for an AG residence that takes up 1 space but can hold 6, 8, maybe 10 people. Or really cool looking decor. Something that wouldn't effect new players from enjoying the game.
I think this is pretty close-minded thinking. Or anyway, pretty uncreative. There are tons of things they could do that would meet the criteria that you very correctly identified. IMO mostly the problem is elegance of solution. Ex: they could introduce a third currency, which isn't any more accessible to advanced players than newbies. Ex: They could introduce some really dazzling visual elements that scale with town size (say, manual painting of trees wherein certain colors attract certain animals) and that cost enough u to be a luxury (yet still scale with number of trees). Ex: for 1000u, you may start a second save file. I appreciate your concerns, but a little thought and constructiveness must be more useful than kvetching about a lack of update. That said, yeah...at least a fix to the farm doubling. Sheesh, Ivan!
I don't play my "normal" game much any more. I am in the process of converting the last of my housing to astroglass, but am not sure what to do with the 40 or so land I have freed up. I have thus far avoided the temptation of building tavern farms or other silliness. My C&C game is nowhere near "complete" but I am running into a odd situation. I make around 1500 cps. At this rate with 500k casino pulls, I actually get more astroglass housing than I can effectively use without burning Utopium on rushing the Arrival Center. More clones, more coins, more pulls, more housing, more clones. Perhaps some non-cps clone duties will provide interest for the high level w/o breaking the game for the low level.
I'm scaling back my play further. I've let my coins go to the max, and all I plan to do is collect my 60 u each day, heavily leaning on the Ministry of Love to make that process fast. But as far as I'm concerned my city is "built out." (I suppose I might spin now and then from boredom and accumulate some extra housing, but no more Taverns or splicing!) "Final" stats: 20,024 cps (pre-farm) 1130 spirit (including circus) 268 astroglass trees 390/410 land used Population of 1512/1514 (including arrival center), with 539 residences (all astroglass) One of every building and an additional 9 City Squares (10 total) and an additional 188 taverns (189 total) One land lost to Racecar Driver bug At some point maybe I'll learn how to assemble a screenshot. I think this is a great idea. It could even make the game harder in interesting ways at low level, by making people choose between cps and non-cps duties.
Yikes If this thread is any indicator, this game is drying up quickly I'm still playing my game (mostly because I lost all my progress a few weeks ago), but I'm really hoping the new update comes through soon!
Yeah, I stopped playing this about a month ago with the intention of picking it up again when an update comes out. But, at least for me, absence hasn't made the heart grow fonder; I'm not sure I miss it at all.
