Backing up I know about that, I blew away my c/c game 2 or 3 times before I figured out I had to do a full back up. And now I make sure to back up my devices to the computer, then time machine the computer.
I did an iCloud backup but I can't make the weird new version of iTunes back up my device. It tells me to restore the phone as a new phone or restore from an old backup. That's not what I want....I want to *make* a backup. Any ideas?
You might be able to contact the actual address that Ivan post for official help. Its in this thread back aways. Its a lamdamu somthing email address. I had to do the full restore thing, After I backed up my entire device. Its not a big deal for me, but I don't have the latest itunes. It backs up the hold phone/device and including your progress in the game. It was overkill but it works. After I backed my device to my Mac, I deleted the pixel people app to test. I then did a full restore and everything was just as I left it.
I have a problem I have not encountered before. I'm trying to make an athlete for my 10th stadium, and when I splice the athlete, I get a message saying: "This Job is waiting for assignment". What does that message mean? I can splice other jobs no problem.
The problem is I can't figure out how to back up my device, though. Suppose I'd be better off asking on an apple forum somewhere. I used to know how to do it no problem, but the latest iTunes is frustrating me. I actually did contact that support link a while ago; the solution involves grabbing files off the iphone in a really strange way and while I'm sure it would work just fine and appreciate that they were trying to help, I'm afraid to mess with my phone and break it. I'd rather just be able to do a normal backup, but of course iTunes can't make that easy!
In my experience that means you've got one of that job in the Hotel, and it wants you to give them a job first (so you don't splice a person who doesn't have a job waiting for them).

Mission Achievements So...since I had to restore my game from a backup, I'm missing some achievements that I had before. Do we know which ones are bugged in this latest version? I thought remember seeing some posts about the 5/50 missions completed achievements. Are there others that people are finding bugs with?
5 missions worked fine for me. 50 missions isn't working, though (I haven't counted but I'm preeeetty sure I've completed 50. I've done a whole lot of them. I've gotten 20 manors of speaking from missions at least, and done a lot more missions than that.) For the adopting 100 times mission, does the free daily pet count? I know it'll take me 100 days to get it if so, but... I don't want to spend money on the animal shelter, but I do want the achievement. Anyone know?
I searched with no luck... I have all tier 5 animals unlocked, but Beast for last hasn't unlocked. Please don't tell me I need to actually have each animal "in stock"? Also, I'm in the same boat with the 50 missions achievement.
For those of you unsure of your completed achievements... On page one of your achievements in the police station, tap the refresh button and see what happens. This fixed some stubborn achievements I knew I'd done but weren't displaying as completed. An achievement banner will pop up at the bottom of screen if successful. If this happens, it's worth swiping through your achievements to grab any uncollected utopium. As for Gamecenter achievements; a misspelling of many of the achievement paths were the blame for them not working from a certain update onwards. Pretty sure Ivan and his awesome team are on top of this for any future updates. We will see how this works for pre-completed achievements.
I had this same scenario recently, posted a few pages back. I ended up restoring my phone from a week old backup I made before the problem arose. Follow Ivan's suggestion to begin with.
Ivan, PLEASE look at moving the land expansion button. I just expanded again by accident. I now have 70 spare land and spent my stockpile. I'm running a no duplicates city so this land is useless to me. None of the other options can be hit by accident and this one is just frustrating beyond belief. At least have a function to cash in extra land for utopium or coins.
