Great, thanks! I think I'm going to do that at least until I get rid of Rocky Mansions and other 2 clones per tile housing.
Ivan, are you planning an interim 1.42 release to fix this and other bugs, or will it all be rolled up into the big 1.5 release? I'm also hoping the Racecar Driver bug gets fixed. Thanks!
The race car is stumping us. And we're focus on bringing 1.5 out along with all the fixes. Plus, a special announcement too.
What's the issue with the racecar driver? I hear something about bugging out on extra land space but not sure of the specifics so I haven't spliced one yet.
Well the reason I ask for more information is because it didn't occur in my game. It was the last job that I had to unlock so I had all the buildings already built. When I went to splice it, the land requirements showed as 0. When it was finished splicing my land still showed the same amount. Given the way the game seems to request land allocation, and the fact that I didn't encounter this error when I had all the buildings built, it seems like there's probably some odd linking to the requirements such that it's actually requesting another building instead of the garage. On that note, I do recall seeing something odd when putting down one of the buildings. The job should have been for one building type but the text was asking me to place down a building for another type. When I did put it down it was the correct building though. I forgot to note down which building this occurred with. Hopefully this will help the devs track down the error.
Let the speculation begin.... Judge Judy announces legalisation of civil partnerships. Restrictions on same sex house mates lifted. Interior Designer, Ike Iyer to hold party at Disco. All Utopians invited.
Old topic, but my city already has same sex pairs in houses. I think that the only rule is that clones alternate gender as they arrive, meaning there are usually male-female pairings unless a moved or newly placed house changes up the order they get placed in.
How to get lumbermill I have the strongman n carpenter but not able to clone lumberjack.wat m I missing here.
I had no land available in my C/C game and was able to splice a racecar driver. My next land purchase wasn't 'eaten' by the phantom building. It did take away one land from my regular game when I spliced it and had land available, but that was a couple patches ago. Seems like this is a really hard bug to track down.
What if you were to wait until the Enterprise is about to finish its job cycle, tap on it to go inside, then wait until it timed out? I'll have to try it at some point just to see what happens, unless someone else already has.
Couple of questions: - What is the electricity symbol that keeps popping up on my buildings? Pretty sure it's not to activate them as they re-appear every minute or so - What does the animal you get from "special delivery" do? For example I got a bunch of lions I think, they have a level number assigned as well - What difference does it make what job each person does? For example an architect can work at "town hall" or "building firm", what's the difference? - Can you choose where each person lives? Or does that not matter at all. For instance does it matter if a lawyer lives with a mayor, are there any "living combinations"? Does it matter if a person lives at the "rocky mansions" or the most expensive "solar nexus"? - Does the placement of buildings matter? For example any bonuses if I place a graveyard next to a hospital? Lol - What does the gold heart mean and how do I get it? Sometimes a gold heart pops up on the horizontal hearts bar instead of a regular heart - What's the purpose of roads? Just pure decor? - What does "spirit" do? Some decors increase "spirit" - I can only have one of each job? If I try to splice another architect for instance the test tube is grey I have to say this is a great casual game. Though to be honest it's not much of a game as there are no objectives or obstacles or anything, just play at your place, almost like a dress-up simulation where you "dress-up" a city, reminds me of PvZ's zen garden or pocket god. The IAPs are totally optional as the waiting time are very reasonable (a few minutes real time at most, often it's more like 60 seconds), unlike tiny towers where the wait time is more like 5 hours, totally ridiculous.
I don't have information regarding any of my questions in town hall... I only have 8 hints, which are irrelevant to my questions.
Keep playing and you'll figure the answers out for yourself, else try http://uk.ign.com/wikis/pixel-people.
That symbol means that that building is no longer providing any income for your city. You need to tap that icon in order to restart your buildings. You can check how long your buildings will work by tapping on one and then tapping the "STATS" tab at the lower left of the pop-up window. The shortest woring time for a building is 2 minutes, and the absolute longest working time with max upgrades, Double Time IAP and Workaholic is 40 hours. Each building starts at level 1 working time, and once you build a Tech Support building you can upgrade a building's level for 3 utopium per level up to level 5. Each level extends the buildings work time by the base working time. So for example, a Sheriff's Office will work for 2 minutes at level 1, 4 minutes at level 2, 6 minutes at level 3, 8 minutes at level 4, and a maximum of 10 minutes at level 5. Also once you've built an Enterprise building, you can tap on that building to purchase the Double Time in app purchase for a one time cost of $0.99, this IAP will double the working time of ALL the buildings in your town permanently. Once you've purchased the Double Time IAP then the Enterprise building will replace that button with the "Workaholic" button, which for a cost of 1 utopium will allow you to start ALL of your non-working buildings at the same time, and further double their working times for that cycle. So, if you had a level 5 Sheriff's office, and had purchased the Double Time IAP, and had used the Workaholic button to start it, then it would have a working time of 40 minutes for that cycle. Those animals will be used in "Missions" once you've built a Utopia HQ. Different buildings have a different "Building Multiplier". You can view a building's multiplier on the STATS tab that I mentioned above. The total coins per second (CPS) produced by a building is the total sum of the clones "Productivity" values (which can be viewed by tapping on any clone) multiplied by the building's multiplier. If you have a Bank built, then you will get double CPS from any buildings that are fully staffed (all job slots are filled). Therefore, when deciding which workplace to send a clone, you should first see if you can completely fill a building, if not see if one workplace has a better multiplier then the other. When you first start, you don't really have to much control over where people live. Once you've built a Hotel then you can begin shuffling clones around and choosing where they'll all live. Their are "living combinations that will result in providing golden hearts. In order to produce a golden heart, the pair has to form a combination that would produce a new gene, however due to a bug, the order of the couple IS important. The 2 clones must be in the same order that they are listed in the formula for the new gene, check the genes tab by tapping on the top center of the screen (where your gene count is listed). As for the type of house, the only difference is cost and clone to land ratio. I recommend spending more on houses with better land usage personally. Nope, this game does not have any bonuses or penalties related to which buildings are next to each other. Gold hearts will influence the prizes that you get from a surprise pack. With enough gold hearts in your heart string, the game will first prioritize your prizes with animals needed for your current missions, and then what ever animals you currently have 0 quantity of. After that, you basically just get a random animal. As to how to get golden hearts, read what I said above about "living combinations". For a list of golden heart combinations, see the spreadsheet in my signature. Roads and Waterways are purely aesthetic. They are only for decoration. Spirit provides you with a discount to the cost of land expansion and a time discount to clone arrival time, splice time, and building time. The maximum discount for either cost or time is 50%. The amount of spirit needed for this discount increases every time you level up by expanding. Once you've built a Carnival you can activate the "Funfair" event for a temporary boost to spirit and a max discount of 60%. You can make more then one of each clone, in fact for most buildings you'll have to. If the combination is valid the test tube should be yellow, just tap the yellow test tube and it will create the gene again. A grey test tube means that it is not a valid combination. The timers are only that short at the beginning of the game, buildings can take up to 36 hours to complete by the end of the game, and clones can take over 30 minutes to arrive and over 10 minutes to splice. So be thankful that the timers are still under 60 seconds for you right now. I hope that all of that information is helpful to you. Man my fingers are tired from typing now lol.
