No need to clear everything; just move things around! I did a full reorganization of my town partway through, and it made it a lot easier to work from then on.
It's definitely a little flaky. I end killing my game on both systems, then reinstalling on the system I want to play on, and waiting about a half-hour or so. Something in that combination eventually works - I've switched from iPad to iPhone and back a couple of times. Don't forget to restore your purchases if you re-install.
Having fun, but there really needs to be a way to force it to save or load from the cloud when you end up getting an old save.
The only way to reset it that I found was to delete the game and delete the save from iCloud. But if it's just building placement you are unhappy with, you can move buildings for free.
i've got a curious bug. i played on the iphoen and switched to the ipad. everything was ok. but suddenly my city disappeared at the ipad. the game want me to build a new building i've developted, but i cant. and i cant jump back to my city. i can restart the game, but its the same situation. if i start the iphone version the game loads an old savefile. anybody else with this problem?
Ouch, I see the problem. Okay do the following: 1) Turn up the volume 2) Wait till you hear the "heart" SFX. 3) Tap anywhere along the lines of the grey bar (more along the lines of the words "New Building Arriving!") The basic idea is to try and tap the hidden Heart Counter to move your view back to your city.
I'm guessing it's something to do with the achivement in travelling to a different star system, I don't know but it's not really a spoiler... It's in the achivement list. Could be wrong though. Haha never mind, it's not that then

Is there any way to force sync with the cloud? The save file on my phone is 150k while the one in the cloud is 55k. I want to get the 150k to my iPad. If I delete the file in the cloud, will I be screwed, or will this let me get things working again?
worked for me. just tapped wild at the upper screen, and tada. city is back thx for the fast support. really like this great little game, even if it's leant to tiny tower. i'm hoping for huge amount of future updates
anyone tried the legal loophole? This is the option at the law firm that costs 40u and says there's a different way to level up. Too expensive to try. Has anyone tried it?
In your specific case, deleting the file in iCloud will not screw anything up. Your 150k game will simply upload and override the data online. FYI, iCloud works best if both devices are in the same local network (e.g. both are on your home wireless network). We're pretty sure that the files get transferred directly from device to device (as oppose to device 1 -> iCloud -> device 2) if they are on the same network.
Is there a limit to the number of land expansions? I'm worried about placing lots of roads and then having to tear them down later because I dont have enough land to build buildings on.
It is the same thing as expanding, except instead of coins you spend utopium. I guess it's an option for when your land costs are like a billion coins for an upgrade.
It expands your city the same way as paying (+10 land, +1 utopium, etc.), but without paying in-game dollars to do so. It's not worth it at ALL for low levels, but becomes increasingly tempting as the costs of levelling up climb. Notably, the cost stays at 40u while normal levelling gets shockingly expensive as you go.
