Most buildings with a base work time of 25 minutes or less (50 minutes or less with Double Time IAP) have had their work times increased. I have updated my spreadsheet to reflect these changes. You can view the spreadsheet here TRB4's Pixel People Buildings Spreadsheet or in my signature. I will be posting more information about the new update in a bit.
Yeah, I finally upgraded the last of my buildings. Especially with the new double work time button, it seemed worth it. A different strategy might be to upgrade all of your buildings to have as similar a work time as possible, to get the most efficiency out of the button. But I figure that with sleep time and such, may as well just max the most. The button is cheap enough that it's worth hitting pretty often, imo. Definitely looking forward to any info you can post about golden hearts or casino reward rates. And whatever else!
Here's an odd little bug. I have the "Good Boy Peach" mission in my Utopia HQ. I immediate anchored the dogs I had -- two Terriers and a Poodle. Then I received a third Terrier from the Casino or Pet Shop or whatever, so I went back to the UHQ to anchor it in. It wouldn't show. I had to un-anchor my remaining two Terriers to "fix" it.
Mine updated only after I went into the gallery and viewed each page. Also just noticed that Spoiler the look of both the silver and gold plazas have been updated. Gold plaza looks a lot cooler.
I got my achievements by viewing each achievement page, going back to page one, and clicking the refresh button.

Tonight at 11: Golden Hearts. Where do they come from? What do they mean? Is your love better than my love? Rogue clone streaks through Utopia HQ. Authorities still baffled as several missions interrupted due to commotion. Fireman gets stuck after checking in to Hotel, requires other Fireman to check in to rescue. Finally, here is another bit of useless info/trivia. Did you know that there is a female name for the Mayor and a Male name for the Mechanic? They are never used because you can not clone additional Mayors or Mechanics, but they were still coded into the game. If Mayor Adam Zappel was a female, their default name would be Spoiler Eve Newyear . Also, if we had more than 1 male or 1 female Mayor the additional Mayor's last name would be Spoiler Haussman . If our favorite Mechanic Eve Jobs was a male, their default name would be Spoiler Adam Baum . Also, if we had more than 1 male or 1 female Mechanic the additional Mechanic's last name would be Spoiler Witwicky .
overall a very good tweaks update I like the longer production times for a lot of buildings. The new 1u check all/time doubler looks too good to be true I'm at a point though where I don't really need the new IAP buildings so I'll pass for now. The hearts differents uses is clever. but I'm disappointed by the animals "reservation" for missions I expected sthg like that: you check animals in the animals list to exclude them from any missions. This way, you could decide which animals to use on the available missions. Or even better would have been to have the ability to individually choose each animals from your list for every mission. The way it's implemented in 1.41 doesn't allow you to choose which animals to use. You just seem to be able to check some animals that are already appearing in one of your missions? Maybe I did overlook it and it's smarter than that though!
If you completely exit the Utopia HQ building, when you reenter it repulls animals from the pool. So if you first lock some animals, it will only repull the ones you haven't locked. It's not the *most* elegant system, since you do have to reenter over and over to get the animals you want, but it's a ton better than before, where you had to reenter over and over and over and over and over and then some more before you could get exactly the animals you want in every slot.
I was hoping for something more "mission-like" with the animals, where you'd have to browse a list to find the ones you wanted. If you are looking for a specific type (Pet, Carnivore, Aquatic, etc.) you'd have to take care to select the right ones. There's a bit or "work" involved, but isn't that the point of a "mission"? That would be similar to how we collect jobs for those missions that need them. Those slots aren't pre-populated with anything; you have to select the correct gene combinations. I don't think the animals should pre-populate the mission requirements either.
By the way, the new IAP building Ministry of Love allows you to pull hearts from it 10 at a time up to 40 times a day. So it does not deliver the hearts automatically or on a timer, you HAVE to click on the building in order to get your hearts everyday. The nice thing about the way that they have done this, is it allows you to spend your 400 daily hearts in either 10 heart increments or all at once, or any other way you choose. Which is great since buildings that use your stockpiled hearts still use ALL of your stockpiled hearts at the same time. I also love the new timers for the Trees and for the Utopium Mine, but I have to ask, why aren't the timers synchronized? They both claim to reset at Midnight, but the tree timer is about 10-15 seconds ahead of the mine. Not a huge deal, but just strange.
Probably localized gravity wells in certain regions of space that distorts time. (I.E. I have no idea why )
Let me add that the way you get your 10 hearts is by clicking on a button inside the building. So you can get all 400 literally as fast as you can touch the screen 40 times, or break them up however you want. It's a really elegant system.
I had no idea the Spoiler tree plaza was so rare. I found one on my first casino spin. Will there be new missions for the new astroglass item? I guess I will have to wait for a string of bad luck to find out.
Here are the new MISSIONS Spoiler Mission #48 Mission Name: BONE IDENTITY Requirements: DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG, DOG Reward: Dog Park Type: Premium Mission #49 Mission Name: CENTRAL PERCH Requirements: ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL, ARBOREAL Reward: Tree Plaza Type: Premium Mission #50 Mission Name: EN PASSANT Requirements: ANY, ANY, ANY, ANY, 5 Utopium, ANY, ANY, ANY, ANY Reward: Chess Park Type: Premium
In all my casino spins I have about 11 astro trees, heaps of housing but not one glass house. I have 3 astroglass plazas, 3 gold, 5 silver, innumerable bronze but no other astroglass stuff. Weird. Yeah the missions selection method is still awful; can't we choose certain animals or at least lock OUT animals? Missions that use any animals always choose my dogs; none of which I want used except for good boy peach. The birds one wants to use my eagles when I have other birds but I want them for quick buck. Meanwhile NO mission want to take my 15 red pandas.
Red Pandas are Arboreal, so you can use them for the Branching Out mission for an astroglass tree, or for the new Spoiler Central Perch mission for a Tree Plaza .
Seems I have a lock on the lower right mission, where it was rewarding the astro items. So I gather we can't get more than one astro item via missions now??
As explained in the patch notes, that mission slot has been adjusted to only award astro items when you're having a "run of bad luck" in the casino wrt them. I'm not sure just how it's determined, however.
