You can unmake them as long as there are in the arrival center. After assignment of jobs, you'll have to use the hotel's "return to mother ship" feature to send them back.
Ah! As in: you send them on a vacation, then tell the hotel manager to send them to their unmaking? And this frees up a population slot? Also: how macabre! ;D
Missing utopium Hello, Can anyone explain where my utopium disappears to? I've been playing the game for a fortnight and not once have I spent any utopium, not even on upgrades or speeding up construction. I've noticed my utopium level often going down by a few at a time but last night it was on19; when I turned the game on this morning I had 10. As I say, I am definitely, definitely not spending it or buying anything that requires utopium. Where does it all go and why did I lose 9 overnight? Thanks, chaps.
Shiny Towers cost 6u to build. Atomic Cottages and Heavenly Houses cost 3u to build as well. Did you check for that?
Hah. Ever wonder what Utopium actually is? Spoiler it's probably not what you think. . but it's something we'll subtly reveal as we go along with the game.
I guess it's not as creepy as Bioshock Big Daddy/little sisters I think one of the thing that makes the game stand out is that you have a storyline, and know where you're going. Even if the story may seem superficial at the beginning. Most players won't notice, but details are here. I'll think of some science fiction inspiration you might have It makes the very plain/no science fiction buildings and jobs more odd though. I guess we'll see if that's part of the story
I was wondering. We spend a lot of time staring at our Utopia towns as we tap and build but once we've built the majority of the buildings the way the town looks doesn't really change much. It would be cool if the Major (presumably an original settler) recalls the seasons on Earth and has a meteorologist(?) build a Climate Control Centre that can change the colours of various parts of the town (rooves, streets, canals, trees etc) for each season, I.e like the Observatory changes the background of space. Not sure how significant a task this would be?
If anyone actually looked into our spritesheets in the game, you'll see autumn, spring, winter variations of trees and roads. That was always a core feature of the game when we first made it. But it got junked due to implementation difficulties. We'll see what happens with this.
@ Ivan - I asked them to restore the missing utopium and they said this (quoting from the email) "this is an in-game missing currency issue and is unrelated to the rewards team. Therefore, it will need to be handled by the publisher themselves. Here is the contact information for the publisher. Electronic Arts [email protected]" That email address leads to an automated bot. I then asked them for a refund if they couldn't restore the utopium.
Not quite sure what a spritesheet is. Don't get me wrong, the suggestion wasn't meant as a criticism. I love the artwork and often take a zoomed-in tour around my town simply to look at the detail. Curious though that some clones seem to have twins in other parts of the town, even though I haven't duplicated them? I don't trust the mechanic.
WOW I JUST REALISED THE STORYLINE. So I decided to check out all the descriptions of my buildings. I managed to piece them all together, and with help from the Secret Hideout, I put 2 and 2 together and realized what is actually going on here! So basically one of the buildings (not sure which one) mentioned a 'blackout' happening on earth. This might be the reason why they don't like being in the dark? But anyway, as soon as the Secret Hideout mentioned Infinity Corp., I stared at my screen with my mouth open for about 5 minutes. I have bought, played and completed LambdaMu's game 'Infinight', where the almost apocolypse atmosphere (after the effects of 'the blackout') was caused by Infinity Corp. So from what I've gathered, Utopia was formed after 'the blackout' to sustain life after Earth became uninhabitable. I may be completely wrong here, but this can't just be a coincidence. Infinight was a great game and so is this one. Nice little storyline crossover you have there! Makes me view Utopia a completely different way. Now that I think about it, no wonder Infinity Corp. was mentioned in the Secret Hideout, I'm starting to sound like a conspiracy theorist myself!
Wow, great find. I feel dumb, I didn't even realise LambdaMu had done other games for iOs as PP is distributed by Chillingo. I remember Infinight, it looked good, but I think I might have played it once only a long time ago. And then it felt into the oblivion with dozens of other good iOs games (damn you appshopper!) I'm downloading it now and I'll give it another try
Well I finally got all the jobs, but now the top counter shows 214/211 Is this fixed in 1.41 (which based on Ivan's constant posts will be any day..but Christmas is only a few more days away too!!)
Missing Gastronomy mission I can't see the Gastronomy mission in my Utopia HQ (from the gene missions, I only have Wonderland, and Ice and Fire left) and I can't unlock the Foodie gene. Is this some kind of known bug? :/
So now what? I got all the secret as well as all the mission jobs. Both are X out in the top row now, unless there is a bug with showing another mission for jobs
