You need to build a construction site to build roads, a park for decor and a lake house for waterways.
Ah, of course, thank you Valius_Forta. The first time I played this game I leveled up quickly and spliced away, probably making those jobs before I realized they provided those functions. Playing this game the ponderous way, without leveling up, I'm finding all of these little handicaps as I wait to accumulate the utopium needed to expand through the church. Every space is so precious, I'm very judicious as to which jobs/buildings I create.
Suggestion: 3 sizes of surprise I came up with an idea to make surprises and animal hunt more fun for everyone, especially for people with residences optimized for golden hearts 1) Split the rewards depending on the surprise size - Small Surprise : small coin pack or common animal (tier 1-2) - Medium Surprise : big coin pack or uncommon animal (tier 3-4) - Big Surprise : utopium pack or rare animal (tier 5 or animal from any tier that you have none of) 2) Let the player choose the Surprise size When unlucky, the player will be forced to choose the small one. When a bit lucky, he can choose between the small and the medium suprise. When lucky, he can choose between the 3 sizes. While the probabilty to be lucky would be totally random when the surprise is only made of normal hearts, golden hearts would make it easier to get big surprises. It may be a bit tricky to balance, but I think it would be great for every player, because we would have more choices to make, and people with golden hearts wouldn't be "stuck" with rare animals ;-) What do you think of this idea ?
I like the concept jarboo. I would also love to have some direct route to the astroglass goods, other than through the Casino. Maybe in the form of another kind of currency, like Astroglass Bucks or something as a big surprise award. Actually, regarding the choice between the types of surprises, I'm finding it very easy to manipulate my string to give me as many or as few gold hearts as I want, so the game really doesn't have to offer the choice, since the player can manipulate the string to get a big surprise when desired, or a medium or small, if needed. In fact, I've been wondering whether there might be a big opportunity for using the gold hearts to win lots of cash. It involves running through the missions, so that takes time, but the strategy goes like this: OPERATION MONKEY MAGNET: 1. Collect all animal types by running gold heart strings. 2. Once you've completed the collection and have at least x1 of each animal, henceforth complete only the Monkey Business mission, worth an awesome $150,000,000. 3. Keep collecting all-gold -heart surprises, which should, based on my observations, restock your monkeys as they become depleted by the MB mission, since all-gold-heart strings seem to flawlessly deliver whatever animal species you don't have before delivering other species. The one thing this requires, is that you can assign animals to missions and basically have the game see them as having been removed from the rescued collection. Without this, you will collect only 1/2 of the monkeys you need for a mission after you get a chimp, gorilla and orangutan. But, if you could assign animals to missions, as I think Ivan implied may happen, then all you have to do is appoint the primates you collect to MB missions and you should be ready to roll as often as you can skip through to MB missions in the HQ. There are exceptions. For example, once you have a bunch of dogs and Alsatians, or insects, you could run the Good Boy Peach and Plant missions to receive 6u, provided those missions don't deplete those species to zero, or provided you are able/willing to run enough surprises to regather those dogs and bugs again so that you can selectively collect monkeys when needed.
I think Ivan said it was submitted early last week, so given Apple's recent tardiness I would guess early next week.
Sigh, I wish it was simple, patch goes in, patch goes out. Ah well, least we don't get much malware. XD
Forget, is there any new content in the forthcoming update or is it simply bug fixing, balancing etc?
The main thing I'm looking for is the ability to lock animals for missions. I'm planning a massive slaughter of wolves, pandas, walruses, llamas Not sure about new content, I guess it would be in the next one
Yup, mostly balances, fixes and couple of new IAPs to address certain segments of the population. After that, the big patch is 1.5. That's, frankly, a wee bit down the road.
Absolutely! My second game ("Level 1 forever") is an entirely different experience, since I only get 3-4 land spaces every 24 hours... I finally got the Bureaucrat gene last night (3rd random gene, triggered at the clone arrival that bumped total population up to 45) but I need to collect 32 utopium to build the HQ, which means I won't see that building until tomorrow...
*Bug report* I vacated MAYOR and MECHANIC because I wanted to upgrade the initial residence into a Shiny Tower. Now I can't splice using MAYOR, it says "This job is awaiting assignment." I can't really splice MAYOR with DEFAULT + DEFAULT, and when I tap empty MECHANIC slot at the arrival center, it doesn't even show me anything. So it looks like I'll have to stop playing once again until next bug fix. Sad.
Yeah, at this point you're better off taking your 150m and going to the Casino 15 times or the Shelter 37 times.
Wow, well congratulations on getting your Bureau gene! I kind of like this approach, although would welcome some extra breaks for those that take this path, as you're right, it's agonizing in some ways. Still, the other/traditional approach just burns through the game so much faster, which got kind of boring. I just have to keep reminding myself to be patient and look at the next goal, not necessarily striving for the Casino without being happy until I get it. I've kind of stopped and am growing trees to speed up the daily utopium harvest, as that was a real and tedious bottleneck. I think I will stop around 15-20 trees and then go back to expanding jobs. I was hoping the shelter would be a boost, so pushed to get that, but at this stage, $250,000/try is very costly. Not that I have anything better to do with my coins now, but they don't accumulate fast enough at the pace I'm playing to amount to more than a free shelter surprise or two/day. It'd be nice if those were cheaper. I'd also forgotten how long it takes to fill those 11 hearts for each surprise! Ugh! Anyway, enjoy, and let me know what the Casino costs at Level 1.
Possible Bug Hello everyone, I've found 225 pixel professions and all of the animals... however I have not received the following achievements: Pilot project (complete page 2 in the gallery) In too Deep (complete page 7 in the gallery) Endangered species (Rescue all Tier 4 animals) Is this a known bug or am I just unlucky?
