I'm trying just that. It is HARD. I suggest restarting until your first gene is either dreamer or bureaucrat. I'm nit sure what triggers the second gene. I might figure it out in a month or so. If it is an explorer... I don't know what I will do.

hmm, right, the other option we could do then is just lower the scaling rate. that's definitely possible.

Another forum search fail. Can't tell if user error or TA error. :)

Did we figure out, yet, what triggers the unique jobs? I'm having trouble getting a couple of them to show up. Is it just based on # of unique jobs spliced..? Are there known trigger points?

I actually really like the idea of spirit lowering the cost of the casino; though I think if you do that, lowering the chances of astroglass decor would be a good idea.

Mainly because a lot of us are already up to our ears in bronze plazas haha.

Casino spins are fun because the gambling aspect of it is fun. It is a tried and true game mechanic (see Las Vegas for proof). :)

Making it easier to get spins is always going to be popular. But I agree that the rewards would need to be scaled down to match.

Otherwise, all players will have dozens of plazas and even dozens of AG residences very quickly. While I love all that stuff, it does remove some of the strategic aspects / land management aspects of the game.

I think people are putting too high a gloss on the Casino/Church thing.

It's fun to *start* as it takes a bit of planning and has an element of risk but once you're established, it quickly becomes very similar to normal expansion in terms of "fun".

I think not a lot of people are far enough in to it to make a comment on how fun it remains.

For example, I'm currently in a very very bad streak of very very few residences from Casino, so my options are to increase my land usage at a cost of 14u (church + shiny) or 100u to complete missions.

14u comes with the catch of eventually having to spin a replacement for it at the Casino. I already have a lot of these from building up to Casino, so I'm not eager to keep increasing the number. 100u is just too much for me, I generate decent u but I could never justify it on PR or MOS. Maybe a GH.

My point is, I'm at a complete deadlock and it has been a week now, the fun and novelty has long worn off and since I've had so much dead time, I've actually unlocked all special and hidden genes (except Mutant, haven't met trigger reqs). So I'm literally just waiting on housing to finish my game.

I'm stacking Taverns too and they're all upgraded to max, I refresh them once an hour most the day. I don't think many people have that luxury, so your game will go even slower.

It has some fun yes but this is mostly early on, expanding normally has a much more passive nature late/end game and I would say is easier, you only have to wait a set time and refresh irregularly for money.

Casino might get better after 300 land but this will almost certainly be rebalanced if it becomes overly powerful.

Right now I can say that my two games (iphone is expansion, ipad is casino) are really not different at all. So I don't agree the game needs a "level down" feature, I think the balancing around it is too dramatic even with a U cost.

All in all, seems like a big can of worms to appease a curiosity for some unfortunate players who don't have two devices. I think a game reset with U intact is a better option, maybe even with special genes that cost U intact, so you only need to regain free ones.

All I do is blow my wad at the casino. In both my games, I can barely save. But I gotta give a shout out to Monkey Business. That mission is the best. If you are only a couple of monkeys away, just keep spinning and boom back in business. Really great game!!

I agree. I kept mine at level one until I got Animal Shelter. It was slow going.

Its a dramatic difference for me. I'm getting a casino spin ever 13 minutes with spins being 500k or so on my Casino/Church thing. My main game i'm making 4.8K cps comprised of a bunch of extra stadiums and city squares all fully upgraded. It still takes longer, and its a bunch of more taps to get 10 million. Thats why its all about Monkey Business baby!! back in action!!!

edit: err I was supposed to quote majordude2626 above :)

I'm getting Casino spins every 8minutes but it doesn't matter how many spins you get. You can be entirely frozen out by luck, until you have a streak as bad as mine, maybe the sting of such a streak can't really be appreciated.

Normal expansion, at least it is measurably, you *will* progress in X time, with various options available to you to change X.

I was just trying to put a more realistic ongoing feel to it, most the posts you get on here don't really highlight just how dependant on luck you are, so I thought I'd point out to non-very dedicated players. It is unlikely an approach they'd find more fun.

Gambling is fun when you win ;)

I agree that the concept is novel right now, and it will probably wear off at some point.

For me, I have enjoyed starting over because I could learn from my mistakes the first time around.

BTW - I recently spun 10 times in the Casino and got three AG Plazas. One would say I beat the odds, yet I would have loved one of those to be a Glass House. I would rather get coins at this point than Plazas.

For those doing the Church/Casino route, are the high dollar missions available? I have only seen 1M coin missions.

No the missions must scale. Monkey mission pays 2M on my c/c game, I messed up and went to level 10, but things still seem cheap. I mostly do missions for U in the c/c game, the coin payouts are not really worth the animals.

I just did 20 casino spins in a row. Result? One bronze plaza, one astroglass tree and EIGHTEEN animal packs. I want astroglass housing so I can max out gold hearts not more bloody animals.

For anyone who tried to use my spreadsheet yesterday and couldn't access it, I have fixed the permissions. So now you will be able to view it. See my signature for the link. Notes for how to read the spreadsheet are on page 246 of this topic.

It really is random. Our noggins are just wired to pay more notice when things aren't going the way we want. I just did 20 spins also:

    1 glass house
    2 Precarious Heights
    1 Manor of Speaking
    1 Gold Plaza

The rest U's and pets, no coins. I think that is either as much housing or more than I got yesrterday in 100 spins... Random

Rather than seeing the Casino rewards scaled down, I'd love a building in a future patch (glass/window repair?) that would allow us to "trade in" our astroglass decor for either higher value decor, or astroglass trees/housing. For example, maybe ten bronze plazas could be traded for a silver. 10 MOS for a PH? Just my thoughts

Why? Other than the way they look, all AG housing is exactly the same space to clone ratio. A PH that takes up 2 physical spaces (but no land use) holds 4 clones, a MOS that takes 1 physical space (but no land use) holds 2 clones, so why trade 10 MOS for a PH? Do people really care about how their housing looks that much? Are their actually people who DON'T use Shiny Towers because they don't like how they look?

I don't know if I did something wrong, but I bought the Heart expansion instead of buying the Musician gene. This rabbit thing is getting ridiculous already.
