This strat is huge for me because my first playthrough I had just over 1,000 cps and the casino cost 10mil. So going from almost 3 hours a spin to 17 min a spin is huge :)

You know, Thinkraft, one of the fun features of the game you're missing by just having one representative for each job is the quirky differences between the genders. Many times the male and female representatives have different colors, and they all have different satirical names. Lots of times, when I duplicate a building I like, or a building full of people/professions I like (like the hero mansions), I make a point to pick the opposite genders the 2nd time, so I can see what the "other side" looks like. :D

    Purchasable permanent game enhancements

My list of most-desired new game enhancements/upgrades that I would pay real cash to purchase:

    1. Animal splicer. This could allow for the creation of specific animals needed for missions, or, ideally, entirely new species of animal that are only achievable via the animal splicer.
    2. City-wide, one click building refresher. Just click the power station, or whatever, and all of the buildings that have those annoying blue and yellow lightning icons get refreshed instantly. That leaves you free to use the limited time you have with the game to pump hearts, harvest u from the forest, deal with the missions and perhaps cash in coins for surprises at the casino or shelter (or whatever they come up with in the next update).
    3. Daily double on the Forest Utopium. Now, you can collect up to 50u/day, or something like that.

Thanks. This was very helpful as I don't have the Explorer gene yet.

    Here is my latest:

    Level 5
    91/92 land
    41/210 people (52 total population)

Dreamer (got at 7 unique people, 2 new buildings / 5 buildings total)
Salesman (got at 26 unique people, 17 new buildings / 20 buildings total)
Bureaucrat (got at 35 unique people / 45 total population, 26 new buildings / 29 buildings total)

All of my residences are optimized to get golden hearts (this involves keeping Preacher's roommate as a clone permanently in the Arrival Center, keeping Game Designer in the Hotel - at least until I get AG residences that hold 4 or more)

I have Socialite through Utopia HQ and I have now built the Casino.

Need Explorer gene at some point, but it doesn't hold up the Church/Casino strategy.

AG'ing is off to a good start as my Free Spin was an AG Tree.

hah lucky with the ag tree, I've done around 30 spins only have 2 bronze, 1 silver, 1 gold plaza, and 3 manor of speaking. (Pic does not show the silver plaza got it right after I took the screen shots)

here is a pic of my whole city, http://imgur.com/qC2xnrb, 568 cps atm so a spin every 14.6 min which is great, wish i had done the golden heart thing haha only have like 2 houses that give me those

still have 92u so i have enough to expand if i need to but saving until i need it, thinking of making taverns for cps have 1 complete atm with full clones.

Do you think its worth it to redo all the houses for the golden hearts, have plenty of U for now

Does anyone have an answer for this question? Ran into the same bug and it's very annoying. Is there a bug fix on the way?

    Short answer is no.

I don't see any benefit to the golden hearts. It may be that whatever they are intended for isn't planned until 1.4.

Yeah, I wonder myself. I only have a few options for generating gold hearts the way my houses became filled. Many of the couples that are paired to make professions are positioned in the wrong order, currently. Only three of the roughly 70 houses that I have contain couples that I can select to spawn gold hearts. So, to make sure I take advantage of them when those houses spawn hearts, I moved them all to one side, painted them all red (my other houses are all blue) and placed them in the appropriate row among 3 rows of houses. If the house is in the top row, it's the top couple that needs to be selected, etc.

Anyway, I have to say, I end up with a lot of tier 5 animals when I am able to capture a gold heart in my row, and the one time I was able to capture two gold hearts, I was awarded the spider, which was the only critter I was missing. That said, I've also received 500K coin rewards and lower tier animals a few times with gold hearts too, and a lot of my success could just be random luck. I'm also hoping that the answer is revealed in 1.4, and that it becomes easier to place specific people in specific housing slots with that update. That's what's holding me back from messing with my people, as I'm pretty much done with everything else now that I bought the hitch hiker gene and finished the jobs.

This doesn't appear to be true. The few times I have scored gold hearts early, they stay in the left slot and do not get pushed to the right when a red heart follows. Not sure that has any significance, but maybe we'll be able to change the position of the gold hearts for some reason? Who knows.

I got the Explorer Gene at 60 total population.

My new theory is that you get a special gene every 15 population. Could also be within a certain range of unique people / total residence.

How do you know which couples will spawn gold hearts?

Just want to chime in with my 2 cents on the latest update.

I think that requiring you to complete missions as the ONLY way to progress (for new genes) is ridiculous. This said considering that some of the missions require ultra-super-rare animals. In the case of Ice and Fire you need THREE ultra-rare animals. Three. C'mon! This is in addition to a super-rare and rare and whatever else. That... is... ludicrous. Basically for people who are already at 155/155 the goal here becomes to sit tapping trees to get U and then convert that into coins to keep playing the casino praying that I'm lucky enough to get all the animals I need? I can see how for new players it's not such a big deal as you have all that time to get the animals. However, I've been playing since release day and this seems like a bit of a joke to me. A simple way to balance this would be that missions aren't the ONLY way to get those genes. Or, an even simpler way would be to make the mission animals required not so super-ultra-rare.

PS for Ivan: I've bought some IAPs since release day so I'm not just saying this cause I don't want to spend any money. It simply makes the game a chore.

Yup, we know missions that require specifics are difficult to complete. Trust me when we say this: It's all part of a long term plan. Features will be released in the coming months that will be aimed at solving the difficulty of these missions.

@Ivan: anything you could pls say about this??

    Thanks!

Cool, I just got 265u from a sponsored cashback link through the free utopium page :)
This was for a few purchases I needed to do from an online baby apparel retailer I use often (60€ order). I remembered seeing its name in the free utopium list.
So I used the sponsored link in app, connected to a web app inside with my usual account. And when I exited, I was happily surprised to see the 265u credited immediately in PP :)
Send the 1.4 update, I'm ready now :D

I believe the most common route is to splice a gambler.
