Yeah this has to be taken under consideration if the 'disabled lap' ends up working. How our test works, a lap time becomes 'orange' once a boost is used, disqualifying it for a best lap. We wouldn't have to disqualify boats with boost abilities, only laps done under the boost ability. That's not elegant but I'm still wondering if that's worst than requesting players to play time trials in order to register for leaderboards. Was still hesitating between Wild Wild West and Monument Volley, this is kinda cool too!
Found two bugs today. one I have no idea how I ran into. Go to shop menu > scroll through the boat list > as you're scrolling, with another finger push the back button > go back to the shop menu = you wont be able to scroll through the boats This is the other one that I have no idea how it happened. I'll keep my eye out though
Yeah I have the same impression. Will keep meditating on that. Thanks for the bug report! Tried to keep them but it felt slightly better without. I've kept ping-pong-ing between various elements so it might come back .
So it worked There's now 3 profiles slots which can independently and manually be uploaded/downloaded on iCloud. Next step, adding controllers support like MFI . On a side note, licenses are now completed, which kinda completes all game content but a few conversations with character. I should start working on the official trailer this weekend.
Beautiful Did you guys tweak the borders around? They look more crisp! As for the pay model, idk which one. Either $2.99 or freemium. Not sure... Hmmm. People here hate freemium, but I dont mind. It keeps me happy and most of the time it keeps the devs happy. But the game does feel like a solid premium game & its a little hard to imagine how it'll feel if it were freemium. I know you'll tweak down the rewards but even then its kind of hard to imagine lol. If there was Game Center multiplayer at launch though, I would encourage it to become freemium so the the servers can become pretty active (& maybe add a $2.99 price tag that'll double the rewards and remove ads? For us premium lovers). I'm undecided for now lol. $2.99 or freemium.
Yeah we've made another pass on the menus basic assets Multiplayer won't be part of the launch, though we'll give it a try if the game does well!

Have you thought about ever doing a KS for any of your upcoming projects? The seem to be a huge undertaking but also quite rewarding if they get funded. Happy weekend all.
Yeah well, that would be a challenging endeavour in many different ways, the biggest being that KS seem incompatible with the App Store. I don't see any practical way of delivering an application to someone without going through the store, and exchanging pledge for content seem to be against Apple regulations. It's as if we'd have to go through a pc version first, before doing a port. (I just checked the Kickstarter for Star Command, they managed to do it without delivering the game itself but this probably was a huge drag).
Working on the official trailer right now, cool stuff so far . We'll try to begin the final beta phase in about one week. For that occasion, we'll be looking for more beta testers to join through Testflight.
