Then I think no one would like to try this kind of events, since it is too dangerous to try, there are 2*3*3=18 different paths at least, compared to character’s hp you can only try about 1~2 times, that is the problem I think.

Dangerous Game is bugged and underpowered. I'm still able to gain armor if my character doesn't have armor, but every time my character has armor, Dangerous Game always removes it, instead of having a 50/50 chance of adding or removing.

Despite the bug, I just don't see the appeal of Dangerous Game. Most characters rely either on shield stacking or healing to survive until the boss fight. Because of the lose all armor bit, it means that it's a bad idea to use dangerous game once you've stacked your shields; either you risk losing all of your armor for 8/12 armor gain, or you effectively play with a reduced hand size.

This means that dangerous game would be great with characters that heal to survive, because they don't need to shield stack, reducing the risk of dangerous game. However, the only character with a usable amount of healing is the swordmaster, and the swordmaster cannot gain armor.

Because dangerous game doesn't fit with any of the durability options listed above, I fail to see it fulfill its niche as a high risk, high reward defence option when the risk often outweighs the reward and the same niche is better fulfilled by dodge.

That is why it is called “Dangerous Game”, when you pick it up you know you have to rely on luck, which is unstable to your game, basically I only use it when I don’t have any armor.

I agree that it is underpowered, I would like to change it to:
    (1)
50% chances double your current armor, 50% chances removed all(or 1/2) your armor.
    or
    (2)
50% chances increase X armor, 50% chances removed X armor.

I found that you will still been hit when you have dodge and your enemy are blind, that works like 0.5*0.5=0.25=25% chances, still a good strategy to mix dodge & blind into the deck.

I am wondering that if you are drunk, then you use the card "Aim", which makes you always hit the enemy, would you always do critical hit or you have 50% chances to deal normal hit?

Yeah just keep playing and unlock new cards, eventually you will be able to beat zone 1 consistently. Zone 2 and 3 will always be a bit of challenge, but cursed captain shine in those two zones.

For grinding gold, I would just play zone 1.

I find that the melee guy is the best for grinding on the first area. Once you understand how to play him, you’ll win the first area most of your games

Yeah the melee character is my go to character. Heal and dodge >> shields, as you are attacking while mitigating damage. What’s the adage “best defense is a good offense”. Since melee cards don’t require ammo, card draw synergizes really well with swordmaster

Just had a card, was called reserve supplies I think. Says I should discard it to get 2 ammo? Is discarding it just not playing it while it’s in your hand then ending your turn? If that’s the case, it’s not working. It’s an unplayable card so I tried that many times and received no ammo in return upon my turn ending.

    The red Skittle
Discarding in this case means using the specific Discard mechanic. There are cards that force you to discard a card as an additional of cost of playing them, that’s what it refers to.

How do I discard them then?

To clarify, it’s the reserves, not Ammo Barrel. Ammo barrel requires I discard another card, the reserves requires that I discard the card itself. Not sure how to get that to activate

You will eventually find cards that say ‘discard this card and gain 2 ammo’ for example. As in, to receive the benefit of the card, first you need to discard it. The only way to discard a card is to find another card that will let you discard any card to gain its benefit. Basically you need the two cards to be able to benefit from each other. The card you have is useless on its own.

Edit: sorry if that was confusing, I confused myself writing it.

I understand now! Thanks. Will not waste a card slot on that now unless I’m sure I can use it

Okay guys..... the big dude covered in spikes that is sometimes the boss for world 1-2. How the hell do I beat him??

Is there nothing I can do if I don’t have lifesteal or immunity to injury? Or like a cleansing card? Was having an INCREDIBLE run and I just got deleted by him in a few turns. Actually pissed.

It's generally a good idea to have a deck that can apply statuses to yourself at least once every two hands. Otherwise, Ed'hog can be bursted down. He has a shield move that marks himself during which you can burst him down.

The boss preview can be helpful; if you see Ed'hog on stage 2 next time just get at least one status changing card for every ten-ish cards you have.

ps. By status changing effects I mean any card that you can target yourself with to switch the icon next to your health bar. You can only have one status effect at a time, so if you're injured, you can avoid damage by changing your status to drunk for example.

Ahhh okay, thanks for the tip! Literally haven’t even seen his shield attack yet after facing him twice. Didn’t notice that you could only have 1 status.... that’s very helpful and I can definitely comprehend beating him now

When you start the new run, look at what boss is first, then you will know how to build/adjust your deck in the right direction, that is a really important part so you can prepare cards you need.

Tip: Even bad status can help you in some situations, such as Blind(non-upgraded), it stays for 1 turn, just put the Blind after all your attack then you can prevent yourself from injury.

Right yes, I think I’m finally getting the hang of handling my status now. Ended up buying the booster (this game is easily worth $4 all together so why not).

Anyone know if the Admiral is worth the money? Doesn’t seem like it other than his fun money gimmick. Wish it had more specific stats. Like if you have 120 coins does it do 120 more damage??
