Tips for GUNNER: 1.Try to remove all the "Shoot" as soon as possible. 2.Upgrade "Issue Order" and 1 or 2 "Ammo" as soon as possible. 3.When you see "Quick Shot", take it and upgrade it. 4.When you see "Barrage" or "Fire at Will", take one but don't take too many, they cost a lot of ammo. Use them with "Issue Order", the damage can be insane. 5.Take more cards related to drawing cards, like "Quick Shot", "Salvage" and "Greed". Then take a "Bide Time", combined with "Issue Order", it's easy for "Bide Time" to deal 100+ damage in one shot.
Have a few quality of life recommendations. Name the bosses and showing their names on the map. Would make it easier to remember their abilities when assessing the map. Also consider allowing us to go back to the tavern or market if you exit but haven't moved yet. I've had more than a few sunk ships because i exited before I bought more AP only to realise as soon as I exited the tavern More in depth stats, especially tracking successful runs. For a winning trip, store everything from the end screen including the cards. I'd go as far as saying it would be cool to allow us to watch the boss replay! With the PC version coming out soon, will the cloud saves from our iOS devices also work on that version? I'd really love to play it on my PC with all my unlocked classes and maps.
If anyone ever wonders about the value of consumable items, make sure you try using them with "Mirror Image". Healing for 40hp with an upgraded "Harvest" every few turns really shows the type of synergies possible especially when get an upgraded "Focus" which lets you pull cards from your deck.
I don't really like games that are designed so you can leave one weak enemy almost dead and then extend the battle and run through your deck to heal.
I thought about that as well, probably no way to get around that. Apart from one of the enemy types where if you didn’t kill them within a few turns, they run away. Most of the time I lack the patience to cycle my cards to heal up before I move on haha
Yeah, haven’t hear anything from the developer for a while now. They have posted an incoming updates with a few expansions, QOL improvements and bug fixes but wonder when will they drop, not that I ran out of stuff to do just yet but it’ll be good to keep the momentum going.
Hi, Here some news about next updates. New heros "Carpenter" and "Musician" are on test. And the map update (Maelstrom) is on his way. If the schedule is un-changed this updates will come mid-April. We have been working some issues (especially from googleplay users with network and "booster" package problems in our shop). Its stays one of our priority to find and solve this. iCloud sync is on the way too (it must be test before release to avoid more problems). After that we hope we can fully focus on next updates and new contents for the game. We will surely work on it. For other interesting suggestions, i cannot promise anything until we will plan it. But we are reading and listening every feedbacks and comments from the community. By the way, i am usely watching your messages and game progress on the forum, i can react on it sometimes, on my spear-time.
Thank you very much for your reply. Understand the team is busy resolving issues at the moment. I also found out that the PC version is coming out early April, so good luck with the launch! Hope to have continued active engagement with your team, really looking forward to more updates to come.
Is there any chance to add some animation frames on the playable characters, even only really basic/ fast ones like Silent Abyss has? you have all these great vibrant aesthetics but the characters are static.
It is something i would like to see more in the game too, but it is not our priority currently. Yes, soon.
Finally. I find that I’m a bit more consistent with the explorer having purchased the market discount, extra ship AP and extra relic slot. Now onto skulls island!
Unlock a new character first so you can try something new, then I recommend to buy packages for bonus cards and relics, especially the first one. About potions, I recommend buy the trade potion first, it is really helpful since you can spend only 135 to upgrade 2 cards in a row, rather than 150, then buy the health potion.
For me, being forgetful, I went and upgraded my ship AP first. I noticed a few games that I managed to get to the next island without fixing the ship. Once u cleared a map, u get an extra 20 AP back which typically lasts u until the next tavern visit. I went with extra relic slot too. Haven’t try the booster packs though but I’ve gotten the rest of the upgrades now except erosion.
I bought the first card/relic pack, the one with the gloves but I don’t have it when I start. Did I misunderstand that buying the pack gets you the relic when all it does is unlocks it for you to find while exploring?
You unlock relics so you can find them through the adventure (in shops, fighting rewards or maybe events), just like how you get normal relics.
View attachment 126199 Am I missing anything? Doesn’t seem to have any perks in upgrading this card. Hmmm...
Yes there seems some cards' descriptions are wrong or disappeared as well (like handcuff, I think it has hidden effect in the gameplay, not just occupy a slot of deck), even in other languages (like in Chinese). Some cards does't been upgraded but there still have a "*" at the end of the name, hope the developer could do some work on it. BTW, here are some suggestions: 1. The collection could show the upgraded effect of cards. 2. when player drew 2 bonus cards but there is only 1 card slot left, give player an option to choose which card should be discard, or just let player have more than 5 cards in hand just in that turn (which means, remove the design of card slot in hand.).
