A new plane racing/shoot'em up game. A little steep for my blood at $5.99, but if anyone TOFTT on this one, I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

My guess is Biplane-Wings of Racoon may be a wiser purchase. Just a guess though.

I was just about to write that. Biplane is a solid arcade flyer.

My guess (man I'm doing a lot of guessing tonight) is someone will make something close to it.

Instead of Crash Nitro Cart, they should port the Crash series, I know the early ones would process fine.

what relevance does this have for this thread?...yes zero!

btw. game looks really nice but unfortunately these games tend to lack in content and are more like tech demos. of course i would be glad to hear the contrary, since i'm really tempted.

    Ok impressions:

The game is really fun with very nice graphics. The ability to shoot them with missiles and bullets is a big plus to the game compared to other racing games. I thought the controls were a little iffy but not too bad (tilt controls). The menu was also acting a little bit sluggishly but something that didn't bother me much. I've only played for 20 min. so let's see how this game goes, but overall it is a fun game with great graphics. Not sure if it's worth the price tag, maybe 3.99 for this game would be perfect.

I agree with theone1007: fun game with great graphics. I've gone through the first 10 missions in story mode (the first few are really tutorials), and so far I'm impressed. Frame rate does slow down when you have several enemies on screen, but so far it has not ruined gameplay for me. My favorite part (as of now, anyway): later missions involved both flying and underwater action. If the developer is following this thread, he's a few things you should probably take care of in an update:

    * more feedback when pressing buttons and doing gestures, particularly during gameplay
    * frame rate issues (as mentioned above)
    * make a bigger deal, graphically, when an enemy is destroyed -- right now it's a bit underwhelming.
    * increase the size of the font in story mode and allow for user scrolling
    * I appreciate the use of calibration, but does it have to happen before each mission?
    * seems like there's a fair amount of backstory that players are not privy too -- perhaps a few introduction screens?

All in all, though, this is turning into a go-to game for me, and, considering the polish already on display, I have to imagine that the developer will keep improving on it.

UPDATE: Just dropped a note to the developer (French, I believe) to give him/her/them a heads up about this thread. Hopefully we'll hear about updates, etc.
