Question/recommendation: After clearing an area on a difficulty why can you only play the 5th mission and not any of the previous ones? This has become a problem for me as I by, mostly luck, cleared "the twins". This is the only area to get dandolo wood at this point in the game and I can only replay the most difficult mission of the entire chapter. Because the game has a timer for energy I don't want to waste my energy on a mission I fail the majority of the time to get some dandolo wood. Opening up the previous missions would allow people to get materials on less challenging missions. Alternatively, you could get rid of timers and let people play as much as they want, but that's not the monetary model the game is built on.
Can't do anything now, my old save is there from early beta and it's giving me a quest to build a farm or something? But it says I can't build it until I complete a certain quest. Which I can't do because it keeps directing me to the build menu to build the building
It's really nice to see the dev so active in here. Here a couple thoughts and wants. I love the artwork! It's gorgeous. I especially love the hand drawn lens flare in the town. I wish battles had an automatic mode that auto fired specials randomly so I could grind easier stuff without paying attention too much. 20 minutes to get an energy point seems like a lot. 40 medals to rank up a character seems like an EXTRA LOT. When does the arena open? I see a lot of loading screen tooltips about it but no idea when it opens up. I would love a "Flooz every day" payment option that I see on a lot of other mobile games. It would definitely help me keep playing the game. My sail seems to die pretty quickly. Is there anything I can do other than leveling it up?
Thanks for the artwork, that's probably why it took us so long to do this game. There's so much hand drawn content! There are characters with less medals to collect (ie: arthus, axl). The arena will open once you beat Arthus. There's a few ways to earn flooz in the game (daily quest, chest, arena), but yeah I saw this kind of IAP in other games, that might be interesting to add it. Re the sail, upgrading and evolving it is the main thing to do.
Ugh, I just lost the ability to hire Smoothie. My wifi went out after having to attempt the same quest 4 times. So the Smoothie quest is complete but I didn't get to keep the medals as the reward. Now I can't upgrade my pirate HQ. :/ I just sent a help ticket. Suggestion: Give us to ability to save whenever we want. I've lost so many things whenever the game gets disconnected. Otherwise, it's a great game. I still want to keep going at it. Edit: Great support team! The issue is all fixed. Woo!
I've played this game a fair bit this past week and I'm now on level 18. I'll admit that I loved this at first but now I'm losing interest fast. The main reasons are: 1. It's sooooo grindy. I've been stuck on Kina level 5 for the past 3 days. It takes forever to get enough money to upgrade the weapons cuz each cannon upgrade now costs $3-4000 and I can only make about $200 each time because I keep replaying The Twins. And that's another thing...I'm only playing the twins cuz I'm trying to get Furioso and he costs 60 medals. That means I have to play The Twins around 120 times before I can get him. 2. Those damn timers. I hate waiting. Playing a level over and over in RPGs to level up is one thing. But having to wait for more energy on top of the grinding makes it that much more frustrating. 3. Not being able to get Level 4 ship parts (Fusion Gems) because they're only available in the Event Blackbeard, which isn't available most of the time. Isn't the point of the game to get a better ship? Why make it so unreachable? These type of games are only fun if there's progression. If a person is stuck at a certain part of a game for days then it becomes less fun. I loved Happy Street. I upgraded everything I could in that game. But that was fun cuz I could show the street off to my other friends who were playing. This game is all about getting better ships to fight better people...and also to collect better "gear/loot". It's a great concept but it only works if it didn't take so long to progress. My suggestions to make this more fun so I can recommend this to my friends: 1. Either get rid of the F2P model (which I know you won't so no need to comment on this), or get rid of the timers. I'd be willing to pay real $$ to get rid of the timers and play the game as much as I want. But I will NEVER pay for disposable IAP which get used up quick. 2. A lot more upgradable levels for ship parts. Being stuck at 3-star parts loses that sense of progression, which equals less fun.... 3. Character leveling/upgrading need to be a bit more pronounced. As in...add new costumes and a noticeable power increase when a character reaches 2-star. Where it stands right now, there's zero motivation for me to get another 100 medals for Amelia so she can reach 3-star. And perhaps add new abilities when characters reach a certain level (or maybe I'm just not at a high enough level yet. My highest character is at level 15). 4. Give partial xp and/or money even when we lose so at least we're not wasting the precious energy each time we face a hard opponent.
Looks nifty but I'm turned off by the reports of heavy grinding. Really wish there was a pirate game that didn't feel like so much bloody work with the obscene levels of grinding required :/
Error I invited my dad to play (he uses different Game Center, and it keeps trying to direct me to his ship on the map and when I click it, it says defeat and player data error, it won't stop I can play fine but it makes the screen focused on the map with the finger and it's annoying my ID is 8uddy37
As an iOS player I'm kind of disappointed that tournament is linked up to other players who already have a massive head start. There's no way I can compete with those players. Another issue I'm encountering is the lack of proper information for the stats of the things that I craft/upgrade. For instance, cannons, they give a flat out number for supposedly damage. But this doesn't give enough information. For instance, I have no idea how the cannons compare in terms of speed. Wood cannon and boom cannon, there's a noticeable difference in the firing rate. Once I upgraded my cannon into the boom cannon I was no longer able to defeat enemies I normally would have because the cannon fired slower. I realize that this is also partly that upgrade also drops the health and damage to a new base stat as well. A similar issue occurs with heroes. I can't tell how often those heroes actually use their skills. The cures seems to be significantly slower than attack heroes. For some characters like the archer it seems really difficult to even see a difference in damage sometimes when they level up.
Yeah That's what I thought I already tried that I completed a few missions for him, even deleted and reinstalled it but it wouldn't help
I did the latest update for the game and it let me go to his boat and repair it so it stopped trying to direct me but thanks
Hi there, can anyone share how to use the boom balloon effectively? I launched it but it just flew away and didnt hit the enemies T.T
Question about the pearls that boost stats you can craft: are they permanent additions to your ship? I've only attached them to ships twice and the first time it dissappeared. Are there a number of uses you get out of them? I feel like the game assumes a lot of this information, or the tutorials/explanations are well hidden.
There seems to be a bug where on iOS 9.2.1 (newest one out a day or so). The boss battle audio causes the system to shut down audio permanently across all apps. The only way I know of resolving this is to restart the OS. I'm on the iphone 6s and it's cut out about 5 times on me since I updated the OS. The last two times I'm 100% sure that it occurs around the time the big boss circle gets shown on screen.
