Some additional info: 1. There are 12 gamecenter achievements. 2. There are four heroes (free, .99, 2.99 and 4.99). 3. Your base can be controlled in the sense of facing him to a direction where he has limited range to fire at the enemies.
Pretty good game I have to say. I just hope it doesn't end too quickly. And the water physics are a really nice touch! I like everything about it but I do wish the game was a bit sharper. Especially when I zoom in it doesn't look too great. But the art is superb. And my favorite thing in this game... Turtles!
This is a pretty tough game to play on the iPhone 5. Maybe my eyes aren't what they used to be, but all the assets are really small, even when zoomed in. In any case, it's a decent game, but there appears to be a specter of IAP in there with the Toe purchasing (yes, toes). Toes are the currency, and you can spend an absolute fortune on it. Honestly, HUMBUG, I say, to all developers who do this sort of thing. Maybe you don't need to buy toes. Maybe not. But it cheeses me off, and there was no indication before buying the game that there was any IAP except for a hero. I suspect to really beat the game you'll need to grind to all heck. Even if this turns out to be not true, seeing a $99.99 IAP option makes me want to puke. This is the last game I buy with IAP.
Everything's so small. Looks boring too. Same old same old. Think I'll give this one a miss like the music though.
Yeah, second that. I'm not someone who thinks all IAP is evil, but consumable IAP is a different story. And consumable IAP for 100 bucks? That's just obscene. I'd be shocked if we didn't see a sale on this game within a month
iPod Touch 5g 64gb here. Game runs smooth as anything. It reminds me of KR in the sense you can build towers on top of what looks like a Buoy. Anyway, once you hit later levels, you can upgrade the towers. Come to think of it, its kinda like The Creeps also.... (if anyone rememebers that game). I dont think the units themselves look to polished. but if you zoom out you cant really tell. Upgrade system is that of KR also. Xcept you can use anchors to upgrade your units. Also Similarly to KR you can use 2 different special weapons that have a cooldown. One is the ability to launch a turtle at any point in the map to have him sit in the water and throw bombs at enemy units(which actually do sufficient dmg) and the other is a hailstorm of gunfire. I give this a easy 4.5/5. Really fun TD. i would say more, but i just found a game in Heroes Of Newerth. Have fun!
I am not in the same predicament as you but I did get cool clash. I do not regret buying it its ok I just feel as if the game is a bit laggy not in a game freezing way but in a you attack and there is a slight delay and then your character attacks or maybe I just suck at fighting games. But this pirate td game looks cool good thing pvz2 is free or I would have a tough decision to make
Sorry, but I will be 'that guy' on this one. INSTABUY, I have just about squeezed KRF dry and need a fix. I am not looking at pictures or video and I don't care I am buying it - you can't stop me so there.
Thanks a lot, we tried to create a very organic and detailed world and hopefully we got it right on most devices We don't support the 3GS or iPod Touch 3rd gen as the art was just too detailed to display at that 480*320 res.
Actually it runs on both devices (iPhone 4 & iTouch 4th Gen). It will not run on iTounch 3rd gen or iPhone 3GS.
Don't fret, you can definitely beat this game without having to spend a cent on IAP, its totally optional. You get a Flying Ace for free and lots of Relic Powers at the start of the game, plus you generate toes very fast while playing.
This was going to be a minute one purchase until I saw all the IAP. Yeah, maybe it is beatable without it, but what if it isn't? What if it gets rebalanced in the future? I don't want that hanging over my head. Heroes, fine. If you want to get different heroes, ok, whatever. But in game currency? Nope - that is too much of a risk. Games with IAP scream price drop soon too, so maybe I will check it out after the inevitable price drop. That way I won't feel so bad if the comments that it is really crowded on the screen are true. I won't have lost much in trying.
