so how does this compare to KR? this only has 12 levels ppl are saying..How many levels does the KR games have?
KRF has 15 maps and was updated with 3 new maps. Has 3 difficulty and 3 different challenge mode, will be buying this game and see how good it is and what it has to offer.
This game is $4 and also Cool Clash is $4..i want to get one of them..which should i get? anyone else in same predicament this week?
Hopefully this works on 4th generation Ipod Touches. I know I need to upgrade, but I really want to hold off still.
Not in this predicament but I would get Cool Clash. Kingdom Rush can easily fill the same fix this game can. I can't think of any game even comparable to Cool Clash. Sure there's plenty of iOS fighters but nothing quite as stylish. That being said, this game does look quite good and my opinion is bias because I'm in the US and can't play this until 11 pm (about 7.5 hours).
Bought the game and played level 1. Need to sleep, its 3:50am here. Something to note about, this game is quite similar to KRF. 1. It has in game currency in the form of toes, yes, toes. 2. Four basic towers I would assume, which can be upgraded to special towers. 3. Reinforcement in the form of turtle. 4. Towers can be upgraded by earning pirate anchor. 5. Special powers/power ups. 6. Even the map (level selection) feels the same, as well as call early waves. 7. Oh and yes, they are both tower defense games Another thing to note, again, played level one only, that it looks like it has one mode and 3 difficulty only. Hero not unlocked yet. The dev did mention on the upcomming thread about supporting the game with future updates. The game does have stunning graphics and gameplay is as smooth as butter.
The graphics are glorious, yes, but Tabs, you make some pretty sound assumption about it being just like Kingdom Rush... This appears to be a pass for me.
* They stated it runs on the 4G Anyhow, I'm so excited to play this! Been waiting for a week or so once I heard about it and it was driving me crazy. I LOVE good TD games. Some of the best games for mobile devices. I am a bit worried about the length when it's such a huge game (a lot bigger than KR even). But if it's as good as I hope it is then it won't matter!

iPod Touches have less RAM memory than their iPhone counterparts. Although in this case the game will run on both 4G models. Typically compatibility matches across iPod and iPhone generations but occassionally there is an app that does not.
Tempting, but the $4/IAP combo will make me wait for the $1 sale. Plants v zombies 2 coming out tonight is not going to help them any.
