I feel wasted.
Ngmoco should just figure out a way to prevent it like Gameloft did...
How did Gameloft manage to prevent piracy ?
Yeah, how did Gameloft prevent piracy?
Has anyone managed to prevent it?
flying dino managed to prevent it. a lot of people with jailbroken idevices were complaining about not being able to connect to the server. im jailbroken and it works every time. guess why the jailbroken people couldn't connect to the servers. *hint* they were using cracked versions.
im not 100% sure on this, but apparently some devs make the game unplayable if it is cracked.
well, the people pirating are probably in 3rd world countries
That's actually what I will be personnaly forced to use too, if I don't want to find myself unable to pay my own food because of piracy.
But that's not safe as well, as there is always a way to crack a digital content.
Whatever devs will find to prevent pirates from treating them like nothingness, it will always be a serious problem.
This is sad. Really sad.
I don't think so
We had a wide variety of numbers here in France, as the government was preparing a (bad) offensive against piracy during the first 2009 quarter.
Nearly 40% of internet users are regularly downloading hacked content.
yeah, but mostly people using limewire and other torrent clients to download music, movies, and PC games
Unfortunately, piracy will always be around. Somehow, the only company that has been able to PWN piracy is Sony. There is no known current way to pirate ps3 games, probably because the fact that the games are in blu-ray format. But on 360 and Wii, there are tons of people who install mod chips and download free games like nothing.
That's horrible - I was expecting something like 5-9%, not 50-90% .
Only 1/3 of users paid for Car Jack Streets.
The other radical way to prevent piracy is to make the game unplayable without being connected.
If things keep coming like that, I feel that more and more quality games will implement this prerequisite.
what world do you live in?
That would suck, I wouldn't be able to play any games then as I'm never around Wi-Fi.
I hate app pirates.
i can't believe people actually pirate a $0.99 game (or any price app for that matter)... you just spent $200-god knows how much on your ipod or iphone but you can't afford to support a developer who spent a lot of time and money to create a game you want...
Screw those pirates!
Well that's sometimes how things are...
but when the App Store is no more.....
IM GONNA KILL THOSE DAMN PIRATES!!! !!!!!!!!!
there's too many
The amount of people pirating a game does not in any way represent actual loss in profit.
Tell that to the devs, I think they'll disagree with you.
