My friend jailbroke his ipod touch and then one day when he plugged it into the computer the "plug into computer and connect to itunes" came up on the touch screen with a pink background. He's tried to restore it and everything but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Did you try to press home+sleep buttons for a long time until it restarts?

Get a barbie doll, blend it, then ram the dust particle up the earphone jack and then the pink won't look so bad.

What the... LBG, for something to be funny, it has to make sense, and this, pal, makes NO F#$@ING SENSE!!!

@iReview, just take it to Apple. It's probably a hardware problem. Take a look at this search. A ridiculous amount of iDevices have been reported with screen problems.

It does make sense, how hard is it to make sense of something for you? Geez
I was only saying that a barbie doll might make it look a bit better, and by that I was joking (if you haven't gathered already).

It is kind of unusual to have a pink screen. Try letting the battery drain out and then restarting it after a good charge. When my jailbroken iPhone broke and displayed a white screen (not pink :D) then I had to let the battery run out and when I started it up again it was ok.

Put it in DFU mode and manually restore it.
