    I love this game but I'd like it much more if the ball had more weight. Not sure how I feel about the pong pongy feel to the ball. Great game tho.

    For me that's hard to interpret because the game is based on a virtual model which has no 'weight' parameter at all. If I were to translate that in terms of physics, I'd say: something that has more weight has more inertia and therefore accelerate more slowly when pushed.

    The most important thing that push in the game is flippers, which would mean that the ball would launch at a much slower speed, that the ball would move slower between every collision and that the general pace of the game would be drastically reduced. I'm not sure that's really what you'd want.


    I don't know if that's generous but I really like the idea of embedding a premium model into a free-to-play model. You pay 1.99$ and the game switches to a premium experience. For me it's the best of both worlds. It's not a super lucrative model but globally it works a bit better than a full premium approach and it makes everyone happy.

    However, my current feeling is that the coins distribution is too high. I had calibrated shop prices for 25-75 coins per run and I'm getting more than twice than that. Right now, every coin picked-up during a game gives 5 currency coins. I was thinking about reducing it to 3. So the doubler would increase it to 6, a bit higher that it currently is. I think that would feel premium but I'm open to suggestions.

    Let's go with that. In the next build put in the coin doubler and set the prices to the model you have laid out in this post and I'm going to reset my game and start from scratch. Then we can get a good feel of it. Sound good?

    Funny enough, this IS the OG alternative payment model that arose as a response to physical distribution of premium games. Shareware evolved, yo! ;)

    I keep checking test flight! I can't wait! I've uninstalled the game and I'm going to start completely fresh and see how the economy goes.

    Yeah hopefully we won't have to wait through the weekend for approval, I'm not sure if the process is automated or not.

    This won't be the last beta.

    I just updated. I loaded the game up. Before I even got to the main screen I got slammed with a full screen ad. No way. This has to be changed. People will delete this game because of this. Normally I delete a game if I get any ad before I even get a chance to play. I didn't even get to the main menu! This is really really really really off putting!

    Going to continue playing now. But this has to be fixed before release.

    I have been playing. I don't see where I can view opt in ads for coins. I thought this was going to be in the game? I only see opt in ads to get another shield. I don't like ads and don't really want extra shields. I would view ads for coins though. Could you please have both of these options?

    I love the premium upgrade purchase. Absolutely worth it's price. I can't wait to spend real money on this game.

    EDIT- ok I have gone through the entire game for functionality. The opt in ads for the shields work perfectly. I purchased the premium upgrade. There was no issue and indeed I have not received any interstitial ads and my coins are indeed doubled. I did a skill upgrade. I purchased 1 cosmetic. I purchased 1 ball. No problems. I selected extras. I recorded a video. No problems. I've experienced absolutely no lag. I've had no crashes. As far as the build itself it appears to be absolutely rock solid and working flawlessly except for what I outlined above that absolutely must be fixed. I need to emphasize it. I'm not lying to you when I say I normally delete any game where I get an ad before I can even play. So please this must be fixed because I know this will turn many people off to this awesome game before it even has a chance.

    For reference I'm using an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3.1

    So again rock solid. Nice job devs. I'm going to now test the economy and see how the coin doubler works out with the amount of coins earned. I will not be purchasing any coin packs. This will be strictly through playing.

    The game is not supposed to present an ad on load when it's opened for the very first time. But of course beta testers are not opening the game for the very first time, unless they delete the game. If you had flushed the game and got an ad on load, it's a bug we'll have to check it out.

    For the coins-for-vids option, we'll still debating about it and are wondering if would break the economy. We've changed a bit how coins are distributed (guaranteed 10 coins drop if you play 45 sec and free 75 coins every 6 hours) in order to make sure that even the most casual players get some flow of coins to progress through the store.

    I did flush the game. I started from scratch.

    Also please recheck my post I edited it to add more than what you quoted.

    Also can someone else please check the leaderboards. I can't check that functionality as my Gamecenter is busted.

    And no having coins for opt in ads wouldn't hurt the economy. Make it so you can only watch ads after or before every game so people don't power through them. Trust me you'll get way more view for coins than you will for shields. Plus you can always adjust the economy.

    I've just updated too and had an app pop up right away, I've not un-installed the game I was just carrying on. Otherwise it plays alright I just don't like a forced ad at the start.

    Still love this game and have been playing it ever day even if I don't post here much

    K, we'll investigate this but I just re-tested it. I flushed and re-installed the game and had no ad on first load. You're sure that you had not re-installed the previous version while waiting for the update and registered a 'first load' one way or another? 5 mins after your very first load, the game is supposed to throw an ad on load (it replaces the first ad shown at the end of a game).

    So you mean allowing a single rewarded video for coins per run?

    I saw the notification. I uninstalled the beta. I then went to test flight app and installed the game. I then got the ad before getting to the menu screen.

    Maybe it was a fluke. I'm just glad it won't happen on release.

    And yes one opt in ad for coins per run. It would force people to actually play and stop people from watching 20 ads in a row just for coins.

    Well I took a look at the anonymous analytics data we receive and someone with an iPhone 6 just registered a score of 178. If it's you, the analytics also registered that it was your 20th game and this data should not have been seen if the saved file would have been completely flushed, which would explain why your device was not seen as being on a 'first load'. I don't know why but perhaps the file was not entirely deleted when you flushed the game. You had lost your top scores data?

    Ok we'll check this out for rewarded videos.

    It has to be me. It sounds like it's borked. Should I completely delete and try again? Would it matter now though since I purchased the premium upgrade?

    I really love this damn game. I really do. I can't believe you guys made this so fast.

    I did have an issue like this recently with another game. It's called Dash Masters. I beta tested it and when it was released I uninstalled it but the game still partially loaded stuff I had. What's happened is now even on the AppStore it thinks I don't own the game even though I downloaded it from the AppStore and it's in my purchase history. It's acting like I used a code and I can't leave a review. It even retained the coin doubler I bought during the beta so I had to buy coin packs to equal the amount of the coin doubler so the dev didn't lose money.

    Btw so far the pace of earning coins with the doubler is just right. That's my opinion. It's not too much or too little. I think you guys have it right.
