you guys seem to be aged like the devs, you like tables of the 90thes. I am still waiting for the older best ones like eight ball deluxe and Paragon.

And with that the little pinball fan inside me can die in peace.

Though after spending some time at a place that has actual pinball tables, the virtual thing still can't touch the real thing.

But of course, buying an actual pinball table is just a recipe for constant maintenance.

They need to improve nudging in virtual pinball, that's half the fun of real pinball.

I later found it must have been something weird with my account. After logging out and back in I could purchase stuff again.

Loving the Addams Family table... Indeed it prompted me to buy the season 1 pass.

However unlikely it may seem I'd like to see a few Sega tables. I played independence day to death when it came out.

You never know. Starship Troopers was a SEGA table of the same era and it's in Pinball Arcade.

Ahh - didn't know that table was previously a Sega asset. This gives me some hope. Thanks Shaun!

Cylone ist out now on ios. Great table. recently I bought Adams Family and now Cyclone. Two nice tables after buying no tables since a long time, because I thought the other tables were avereage and boring ones.
What I noticed is,that the tables been getting much more expensive then the ones at the beginning. The first tables were about 1.99, now I payed 4,99 Euros. Ok, I thought Addams Family was an expensive license, but Cyclone?

I think they just upped the price. Used to be 2 tables a month but just one now

I still love the app. Got all the tables and love playing the real tables at different conventions etc. the attention to detail is impressive

    Another table added - Jackbot

Amazing how many tables there are now, must be about 50. Off to a retro show in England on saturday so there should be quite a few actual physical pinball machines to play and many of which are in this app.

Still love this app and its one of my favourites. A ton of variety

Xenon is out! Cyclone and now xenon, great I thought. But Xenon seems to suffer from the old problem. To easy. I scored about 4Million points on my second go. Never reached such a score at the real table after practising so short. Another thing is, where is the little stopper between the flipper fingers, I thougt there was one at the real machine

    I am so confused.
I purchased this but the only game I have access too is Arabian nights? No xenon.
It's exactly the same as the free version. And I don't really like the Arabian nights one. Sigh.....
I know that there are tables I have to pay for, if I want them, but... I thought I was least getting the xenon one. And honestly, I don't have the $30.00 at the moment to purchase a 'season' of games.
I did see that I can 'try' some othe pinball games, but they are limited.
Did I get duped? Did I basically only play for a useless client?
I am sorry. I am not trying to offend anyone. I see that there's a lot of positive comments so I want to give it a chance.
    Thanks so much!

Each new table is $5, or a season of tables is $30. I picked up the app when Addams Family came out, since that was all I was interested in, and I happily paid the $5 just for TAF.

It is not immediately clear what the difference between the two versions is. I assumed it was ad-supported vs. not ad-supported, so I bought the 99 cent version. It looks like I may have been wrong. The free version has full access to no tables; the 99 cent version has full access to Arabian Nights (which is a 99c IAP in the free version). If there are other differences between the two versions of the app, I'm not clear on it. I don't regret the extra 99 cents, though.

While I don't like the lack of clarity in the app descriptions to differentiate the two versions of the app, I have had a wonderful time playing Addams Family and am thinking about picking up a couple new tables sometime. TAF was the only one I ever played in person, though - it was in the public game hall when I was in college. Good times.

Thank you so much for your reply Falcon!

I am so disappointed. I thought with all the pages of comments that this one would stand up better then the other ones and it clearly does not. Other pinball arcade app developers ( like Zen studios) has pinball apps that look just as great. I installed the free version as well. Could not find a significant difference.
When purchasing pinball arcade, it clearly states; " This update adds Xenon." And; the icon has "Xenon" on it. Of course I thought that's what I was getting. Very misleading. And, I don't need to be charged constantly all the time to keep playing. The pop ups to buy new tables are the same as ads. And.. although it's a paid app, I am still getting ads when playing the limited 'free to play' tables.
I almost bought it for my foster kids. Good thing I did not. I just can't imagine the disappointment for them.
I am going to contact iTunes and even though I paid only a dollar, I am still, going to request a refund due to misleading information.

Don't see the confusion. It's been like this since day one. You pay the app and as the app states you get tales free

The rest of the tables you buy

The apps brilliant. Zen pinball is also great but I prefer real life tables. It's great playing on the physical tables and then seeing how great the recreations are on pinball arcade

For free to play tables of course you'll get ads. I've got al the tables and love this app. Amazing how many tables there are now

Not misleading at all and trying to get a $1 refund makes a mockery of the refund system. In the future if you want a proper refund for say an app that crashes you may not get it if you keep asking for refunds previously. Check all the precious pages of this app. People haven't had an issue with it

I can understand your frustration and I'm not trying to change your mind or start a fight, I just wanted to share why this game appeals to me. This game is a virtual remake of pinball machines that exist in real life, most at arcades back in the day, most in private collections now a days. So $5 a table for unlimited play is easily worth it for me, I use to spend more than that for a few hours enjoyment back in the arcade days.

The developer has been adding one new table a month and they change the app icon each time to represent the new table added. Xenon was the most recent table released for purchase, so that is why it said Xenon added but I can understand the confusion from not knowing.

It might have been like that since day one, but i never followed it, so no, I wouldn't know.
I have NEVER asked for a refund no matter how crappy a game might be. I have also, like so many others here, purchased hundreds of games. Be clear... I am not like that. Possibly asking for a refund here, would have been based on principal. Especially based on the confusion of a teenager who showed it to me after he bought it, based on the itunes description only. Which is why I came here to inquire about it & give it a chance before taking that step that I consider to be quite serious.
So, ok. I won't ask for a refund or make that complaint with it, based on the responses from psj3809 and ojtitus. (Thank you Ojtitus for your kind words, by the way, your approach was remarkable)

I want everyone to understand. That when a foster kid gets taken advantage of, usually they have no recourse. No one to stand up and advocate for them. I sometimes see red until tears are coming out of my eyes. And, alot of times, they aren't even allowed to work so a dollar might as well be 50 dollars. I'll give him back his dollar and help him to understand that "This update adds Xenon" doesn't mean it's actually added to his purchase. And later, I'll gift him the season pass, when I can.

I'm still interested in the app for me. And, i might buy a season pass or two. But, when I say I can't afford it right now, it is because i have 3 other kids that also want it so to keep things fair, and not show favoritism, that 30 dollars for me is actually 120 dollars. And for me personally, I am not in a rush. I have a set of pinball games (by Zen) for the PC that are pretty awesome, especially because my laptop is 3d.
So, I am sorry for offending some. But... I still see, per the app store, where the confusion was regardless...
Thank you for everyone's understanding... Moving on.....
