Mine still crashes the moment the table is loaded. And I was really looking forward to Pin*Bot too. My dad had the table in our basement while we were growing up. Fond memories.
Game Impressions Even on your iPad or just on the iPhone 5? All tables I've tried are working fine on my iPad 3 but NOTHING runs on my iPhone 5. Wonder if it's tied into the iPhone 5's unique screen dimensions?
After I deleted then reinstalled the app on my iPod touch 5 it was ok. Inconvinent but works for me. I haven't checked on my iPad yet though... Tried the free table if the month and boy it's hard..
It crashes immediately upon loading the table both on my iPad 3 and my iPhone 5. Edit: I tried tops2' solution of deleting the app and reinstalling, and now everything works fine. Thanks.
Well..tried the new table on the iPad and boy..does a big screen make a difference. Much more fun! I've never bought any of the tables before and now considering picking up season 1 pack. Only reason I'm hesitating is I haven't spent over $20 idle a game in years (thanks to steam sales and iOS). Kinda confused about the season 2 pack. Sounds like to me there's 3 or 4 "table packs" out for season 2? Is each table pack ~2 tables? And confused what the "pro" versions add? I was thinking it lets you tweak the game somehow?
Reloading 30 tables will be a pain, but much better than waiting for an update from Farsight. ;-P So am I missing some obvious, "Download all purchased tables" option? I mean I know of the Restore Purchases but that just seems to ensure the game knows I have the right to download certain tables without actually doing it for me.
Anybody taking Farsight up on their Season 2 offer? I initially just thought I'd best pass as I have already purchased packs 11-14, but they say they can credit those purchases if you email their support. So I'm curious how such an email has worked if anybody else has taken them up on this.
There's 30 tables in all. Later they started releasing pro tables. I haven't got any but they seem to allow you to 'tinker' more with the way the table mechanics work I think. As the name suggests I think they're aimed at the more serious player A great app though
I have yet to purchase any of these pro packs, but I'm not so sure of the target audience. Buying it them gives you access to an "Operator's Mode" where you can tinker with stuff but it sounds a lot more like a big cheat to me, not so much a way to make stuff more challenging. The supposed "pro tips" for each table could have been fun but not for that price per table.
Game Impressions Sorry for over posting folk, but is it just me or would others rather see their top score listed for each table rather than their "Hall of Fame" total score? I think that Hall of Fame score thing is clever but as it is the same value on each table, why not just show it out on the Main Menu before any table is even highlighted and keep the stats when highlighting a table specific to THAT table? I mean even just showing the Hall of Fame points earned just by this specific table would be a LOT more useful.
Agree! That would be nice I haven't bought any recent tables for awhile and to be honest I haven't opened this app in awhile also because of stability issues and restoring table issues so.... Yeah I still agree with what you're asking for Any recommendations for recent tables!
Which were your favorite tables from the past? Like ramp play, lots of video modes, old classics, multiball modes, or what?
Sorry for the slight delay, I had to open the app to refresh my memory on the tables I like the most. Of course the app crashed so I had to reopen!! I have I think I counted them right-12 tables. My favorites are Black Hole, Black Knight and Gorgar so I guess it's old classics
I just found out a SIMPLE solution! Go into Options -> Manage Tables -> Update All! How long has this been an option?
Excellent, thanks! Argh! Updated the app first, then I tried to play the free version of Centaur to get a feel for it and it crashes tried it four times and still no good. I've got a touch 4g running IOS 6.1.3 Looks like its September until I get my hands hopefully on an iPad 5?! Hopefully issue free but I'm not crossing my fingers though I'll try a hardwire restart and see if that helps
Whelps..I know what I'll be playing this weekend. Picked up season 1 pack. Too bad I had to download all the tables individually. "Update all" didn't work for me. Anyways..gotta go out for a while, but can't wait till I coming back home to try the tables! =)
