ST:TNG is a fun, but frustrating game. Those outlanes are fairly brutal. You can sometimes bump the ball out of there, though, so this will be a game I'm going to have master bumping the machine in PA. In any case I hope we hit that goal.

New update to fix some bugs created an even worse bug. App crash ass soon as I press start to play CV. Do not update.

I just downloaded the update and played a full game of Circus Voltaire on my 4S. Tried backing in and out of the table, not seeing the issue.

Have you tried the usual restart and/or redownload yet?

I tried a restart and reinstall and it still crashes. When it loads back up it starts at funhouse table instead of last table played. I did manage to launch the ball once and as soon as I hit the flipper it crashed. I reinstalled previous to update version for now.

Playing new version... I've played CV and MM, and no crashes, and no bugs so far... and it now remembers your camera/DMD settings. You can also disable the multi-ball camera. That may have been in the last release, but I don't recall seeing it.

I've had nothing but problems since the last update. First, CV would crash every time I tried to start a game (all other tables were fine). I deleted everything and reinstalled the app. Now I have no camera controlls and cannot access the pause menu during play. I am also having a lot of issues where the camera no longer tracks to the ball after certain events (if I activate voice in BoP for instance, it will zoom in and never zoom out again.

I am going to reinstall again but I am disappointed. This has been by far my favorite app, but it's unplayable for me currently.

    I am on a 3GS

Edit: The second reinstall did fix all the problems I was having. Still dislike that I've now had to re-download every table many times now, but it *is* my favorite game, so I'll deal with it.

Turning off the multiball camera was in the last version too. Having to redownload the games every time sure is annoying, and it's only going to get worse. Imagine what it will be like when we have, say, 30 machines in the game. Ouch. Hopefully they figure out a way to do this updates without requiring a full game download.

I didn't have to download all tables. CV needed a re-download, but only because it was bugfixed. Unchanged tables like Ripley's and and Bride of Pinbot I could jump right back to without a re-download.

So look at downloads as the price you pay to get bug fixes and graphics upgrades.

Same for me, I only had to download 3 or 4 tables, all because of bug fixes which are welcome of course. So when we have 30 tables, the oldest ones will probably be stable, and only the newest might have some tweaks.

P.S. Anyone still holding out for better incentives on the Kickstarter, please read the latest update:

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1067367405/pinball-arcade-the-twilight-zone/posts/241865

They added a new $20 and $40 tier with more benefits.

Please contribute so we can get Star Trek: The Next Generation!!!!!

Great update. Fixed everything for me. Cool to finally be able to play Black Hole again (I have a love/hate relationship to that table and need to beat it). Also Believe It Or Not was running sloppy before the update, now it's fine again.

On Kickstarter, I just jumped from 25 to 40 bucks, since appearing in the credits is a cool offer :)

Still, Pinball Arcade is pretty much the only game I've been playing, for weeks now.

Same here, I've been pretty much addicted to it since it came out, hardly play anything else except all the async stuff I have to make my moves on. Funny thing is I had zero interest in pinball before I saw the previews of TPA on touch arcade, and I hadn't even played a real table until 2 weeks ago ( I'm 46! ). Now I can't get enough of pinball, watching all the videos on YouTube etc, and I'm planning on going to the uk pinball party in August, all because of a video game.

Yeah i'm similar, wasnt a huge fan of pinball before, but love Pinball Arcade as i think its great how theyre simulating the real tables i've watched on youtube. I know some purists might have the odd issue with the app but i love it, good amount of tables now

By the way Kevlar, make sure you go to the computer show in Manchester in October (retro/modern etc!)

  18. Hello to the world of Pinball!

We are Farsight Studios, located in beautiful Big Bear Lake, California. We are reading and taking notes of everything you guys (and girls) are saying and wanted to let you know that we are, in fact, listening. We are floored by the amount of people that are supporting the Arcade and the successful Kickstarter campaign.

We are wowed and humbled by the community at large.

Just a side note: please send any technical questions to our support line: [email protected]
They are working very hard to answer the emails that come in, so it may take a day or so to get to yours.

Other than that, we're pleased and honored to be working on this amazing collection of Pinball games from an era that the youth of today have only a peripheral of exposure to.

Thank you all for the vote of confidence.

I guess I'm the 1,980th backer now with a $20 pledge. Thanks farsight! Keeping my fingers crossed for the Adams family, the first pinball table I beat in a bar in San francisco!
