I have a Fish Tales and it is in our dining room, which took some negotiating, believe me. We can't fit a second. Heck, we couldn't really fit the first! LOL! :)

Pinball Arcade is still buggy. I have twice now had multiple balls in the plunger lane in Cirqus Voltaire. The first time it was 2 and the simulated plunger is too weak to kick them out, but I was able to get them out with some strategic plunging. The second time it was during Join the Cirqus and there were 3 balls in the plunger lane and it was impossible to get them out. Call Attendant just kept them in the plunger lane. I had to quit. Lost a couple wizard goals too. :(

Pinball is all about fun. Score is part of that, but not always. I might crank up the difficulty for more challenge, I might make it easier to see features I'm struggling to get to on normal, I might tweak things to match the way I have my home machine set up. The point is that it would be nice to have the option to play by 'standard' or customized settings.

Until GameCenter is implemented, scores on the iOS version are pretty much meaningless anyway.

    As for the tables:

    * Funhouse is in my gameroom, so I'm intimately familiar with it. This port is very solid. Virtual flipper physics make the trapdoor a little easier and the Hidden Hallway harder than I'm used to, but both are within reasonable levels. I wish the Steps ramp would zoom in a bit to show what's lit, and the plunger shots are typical for Farsight (i.e. very little middle ground between a weak shot and full power.)

Kvetches: Rudy sounds a little tinny. The BGM has a tendency to play the wrong music once in a while. The Sausage Bonus should vary slightly based on how many times it's been achieved since high scores reset; it might in practice, but the walkthrough instructions make it sound like it doesn't. (Or maybe they just didn't want to spend five screens explaining its logic.)

    * Voltaire is a little newer to me, but I've liked it when I've played it before. (I think Popadiuk may need to take a restraining order out against Farsight before long.) It's certainly the gaudiest playfield I've ever seen, which makes learning the features important because you certainly won't know what to shoot at from eyesight alone.

It's a typical Popadiuk in that the wizard mode is pretty easy to reach in Pinball Arcade (not so much in the real world). Once you get the hang of what's what, it's a nice blend of multiple modes and multiballs.

Kvetches: I've had it lose track of the ball count on more than one occasion, and definitely not anywhere near the wizard mode; most often as two balls in the launch chute and then in play without a multiball mode running. Join The Cirqus requires reaching Party Multiball to get the achievement and get your initials up, not just level 1.

All in all, both tables are very nice and this is a no-brainer, even more so than the last DLC pack. (Monster Bash next, I hope, and I would shiv someone to get BK2K.)

Twilight Zone is 20% funded and it's only been a day. Fingers crossed!

Backed at $10, but they could get me up to $20 if they had the right incentive.

If they put the operator menu in at the $20 tier I think they would get a lot more hits on it. It is a bit disconcerting to go from $10 to $100.

    I just did $100.

But I feel the same as you. I was eyeballing the $500 tier and really wishing that was at the $100 mark... but I just couldn't justify more than $100.

I REALLY hope they far exceed the $55K goal because Star Trek: The Next Generation Pinball is one that I played quite a bit, and it's a really great table.

I might actually go for $500 if they do a kickstarter for The Addams Family... I spent so much time on that table as a young adult that I REALLY want to see it preserved. I'd own a real one if I had the $$.

I wish that they'd move the tiers. I'd easily donate $25 if it secured Twilight Zone and ST:TNG, or if it unlocked the operator menu for all tables or something similar. Hell, I'd go up to $50 for TZ, TNG, and Addams Family and $75 for those three plus full operator menu unlock for all current and future tables. But $100? I appreciate what they are doing preserving and reducing entry costs to experience these tables but I'm not THAT big of a virtual pinball fan.

    Anyways, pledging $10.

    To the devs:
When are you gonna update the Mac version? It's been 2 updates and 4 tables now and you can't manage that? I much prefer to play on the bigger screen because on the ipod everything looks too small. Please do it!

As described before I downloaded the recent tables at home via WiFi and there were some strange anomalies (had to type in my iTunes password FOUR times and NOT because I misspelled it) never seen in App Store before. The worst thing is that the somewhat complicated explanations what pack you should download are overlaid with the iTunes login standard window so you can hardly read them. But I had the tables definitely and could play them.

Then I wanted to show the new tables proudly to my friends (rather an audience at a huge media center) but instead of letting me play that BIG CRAP of a software wanted me once again to download them (with choice what pack and prices, iTunes login, password and all of that). Since there was no WiFi at the place where I met my friends the show was over. Some people laughed and said what garbage iOS and App Store is and that they won't buy an iPad. Thanks, FarSight Studios. That was really painful. :(

What a shame! Although I am a big pinball fan and I love those PA tables this pisses me really off and although I paid for all the tables (10-20 € don't remember exactly) I will delete that crap (where I can only play as a "guest" if it maybe works at all) soon. That's not funny any more. They should better fix their worst bugs before and then publish a software or start any future projects.

    Not recommended.

Didn't have these problems. Yes, after the update I had to re-download all tables again, once. And I had to do it, because they overhauled all existing tables. So, everything is fine on my device. Just the Black Hole bug is annoying right now. But it's a small team and they have to do a lot right now. I hope TA catches the Kickstarter story and brings it to the front page.

I know but this is no excuse. They should get their schedules right. One thing after the other and not everything at the same time.

There were heavy bugs since PA for iOS came out and they are not fixed until now. Most of the time you can't play because of different errors. My patience with this paid (and NOT cheap in App Store terms) software reached it's end no matter how glorious the tables are.

And what? Not one official word of an excuse but they want me to support future projects?!

I play that game ALL THE TIME (seriously every single free minute) and besides the new Black Hole camera problem, I have no problems at all. Best pinball game out there. Running beautifully and smooth. I'm extremely happy with this game. And totally addicted.

Everything's been working great with the latest update. Love having the option of different plunger cams and being able to turn off the multiball camera. I haven't decided whether to buy the newest tables....they haven't interested me as much as the previous ones yet.

I had a great real Pinball day today here in Neu-Ulm,Germany.
There was a Pinball Festival. You had to pay 10€ once. There where about 100 Pinball Machines to play for free and some competitions.
I played many of them. Bride of Pnbot, Funhouse, Eight ball Deluxe, Baywatch,Flash, Twilight Zone, AC DC, Dracula, Firepower,Circus Voltaire...
Pinball Designer Steve Ritchie from Chicago was also here.
Very nice, to play some tables, I never saw as real machines.

Thanks to Berlin. Our little town seems to be the best place to live in these days. Threes days ago here was a big Miusic Festival with David Guetta, Taio Cruz... . And now the Pinball Festival.
Bride of Pinbot is not so boring easy as a real machine. Pinball Arcade should make it´s version more difficult.

That will never happen. Hodapp detests Kickstarter (he calls it "shitfarter") and has little respect for projects which use it. Maybe he'll have a change of heart when Kickstarter projects start rolling onto iOS in a year or two, but for now, just be glad Kickstarter is only banned from the front page and is not yet banned from the forums.

The good news is that it doesn't seem like this project really needs the promotion. Two days in and over a third funded.

Yes, the exact things happened to me, too, and I agree with everything you said! Bunch of CRAP and only being able to play as a 'guest' should've been fixed long ago! You think! Very irritating! And at least bring the Mac store version up to date, also! These guys are blowing it! Started out so good, got everyone all excited for so long, then disappointed us! Fix the games and the interface, for crying out loud!
