It works... and the first look on TOTAN is good. Now i am downloading the 4 first tables again and than the four new tables. Hey bride of pinbot, do you want to dance ??
Boah. Ten million error messages ("can't establish network connection" ) and re-downloads of previous purchased tables on this device (iPad 3) although they were there already (will check my iTunes account later). But finally I got the two new tables after typing my iTunes password FOUR times!
great update! but I noticed two things: -) the table highscores on Bride of Pinball are still messed up -) the 10 Billion Bonus light on Bride of Pinball is still wrong (it's a 10 million bonus) other than that I'm very happy with the update, the new tables are great I can confirm that the settings are finally being saved - woohoo! greetings MJFox
Settings are being saved? I always toggle off the dot-matrix of Cirqus Voltaire - since it's there at the end of the table anyway, but with every new game it's back on again. And yes, all other tables feel updated too, physics are better, everything is even smoother now... seriously, they did A LOT of work.
I didn't try to turn the dot-matrix on/off, but at least the camera settings are being saved now greetings MJFox
by the way, I really would appreciate to see the game saving settings for each table individually greetings MJFox
Yes, the lowest camera on funhouse is lower than the others, also camera order seems screwed up on all tables. 4 is the lowest but 1 is the next one up? Also Funhouse has a different scrolling camera, not travelling along the table but up and down vertically. Voltair's camera hardly scrolls at all.
is it me or is multiball on Cirqus Voltaire somehow broken? happened to me several times, I lost one ball and then I couldn't move the paddles anymore and lost all the other balls as well... it's like there was a "main ball" and if you lose that you lose all the other as well greetings MJFox
At my arcade times i was areal good video player but only a poor Pinball player. I played all Pac Man stages with one coin, but i never played the Grand Final on theatre of magic or destroyed all castles in MM. But now i will try again and again. This is one of the reasons i like BoP, it is so easy. Pinball Arcade will be my new favourite App. Waiting for Scared Stiff, Monster Bash, Fish tales, Attac from Mars etc.
My guess is that you were in the wizard mode where you have different stage goals to accomplish. Once you complete the current stage the flippers stop functioning and the balls drain, and then it starts the next stage. So nothing wrong if that's what you were in. The viewing angle on Funhouse is lower, but I don't mind it too much. i would prefer to have a higher viewing angle option, though. Hopefully in an update. Did anyone else find that the machines downloaded much faster than in previous versions? I was able to download Cirqus and Funhouse in no time at all, where as before the machines too a really long time to download in the past.
Found an annoying bug: After leaving the lower level pinball table in Black Hole, the camera won't switch back to the upper table anymore... Makes that table unplayable right now.
I had a ball in Cirqus where it put two balls into the plunger lane, and I was able to launch both of them, but the camera never left plunger cam mode, and then when one drained, the flippers died and the other drained. It only happened once, though.
The Kickstarter project for Twilight Zone is up. It's $10 to get in and get a copy for one platform (which doesn't include Xbox 360 because they claim Microsoft won't let them. Why?!??): http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1067367405/pinball-arcade-the-twilight-zone One bit I don't like is that at $100 you can get a special version with access to the operator menu, which is great... but that's a feature I want in Pinball Arcade in general and not as a high price bonus to KS backers only. Unlocking the operator menu after you complete the wizard goals would be a lot more fun, useful and worthwhile than unlocking the ability to turn off the tilt that no one who can complete the wizard goals needs anyway. I backed it. It's a lot for DLC for Pinball Arcade, but it's next to nothing compared to buying a real TZ. Not that I wouldn't prefer to have a real one.
I enjoy the wizard goals myself. I'm curious though... What would you want to change in the operator menus? If you changed anything your scores wouldn't be added to the leader board and pinball is all about score. I own a few physical machines and like to keep them at the factory settings. To me it's the way they were intended to be played
In general, make them harder. Your right that I wouldn't want to lose high scores, but I'm fine with them only being local. So as long as it kept local high scores, I'd do that. Especially on Pinball Arcade where the games generally play much easier than reality. But, having said that, what I really most want to do is make the playfield steeper so they play faster, but that's got nothing to do with the menus. The other part of it is that I just geek out at that stuff and want to be able to see what can be changed. And I like the standard/wizard goals. Those are a great addition. I just think it's silly to have unlocking the ability to turn off the tilt as a reward. If you do that, do scores still count on the leaderboards? If so that's bogus, but I've never even bothered to set that option as it isn't fun to me.
Oh, hell yes. Kickstarter is awesome. It's this place that nerds like me can go to buy all the things we never thought we'd be able to buy (as long as we can convince enough other nerds to also buy).
Call me crazy, but I went for the $100. I've always wanted that table, and this will scratch that itch a lot cheaper than a real one.
You totally need to get into collecting the real thing then! Granted its a little more expensive! A buddy of mine recently sold his Cirqus Voltaire for 4 grand Also turning nudge off disables you from posting high scores
