WiFi or 4G? So far WiFi have been OK, but 4G's have had the UI problem. I don't disagree. I was roundly criticized for flaming them over the original buggy update. It's not rocket science to release software properly. That doesn't mean you don't ever have bugs, but you don't have bugs that are noticeable with 2 seconds of starting the app that keep it from functioning at all. I think testing in general is neglected now that people figure they can just patch it later over the internet. Yep. For sure. Stuff like this just makes me worry about whether they are running out of funds so they are porting as fast as possible to get some revenue. That means they might go belly up and stop making us tables.
Hi there, i have updated my Pinball Arcade to the latest version (bought version, not free). Now the App won't start anymore..i see the Pinball Arcade Logo and immediately after that the App crashes. I'm on Ipad 2 (4.3.3). It was working fine before. I tried re-installing it a few times...didn't help. Any ideas..or is someone encountering the same problem? *edit* while crawling through the net, i found that other people also have this prb (in rare cases it seems).. aaww, that sucks
I had to delete and reinstall it on my iPad 2 in order to get the icon right, but otherwise it worked fine and does now. It's weird if only some are having problems. Are you on an older version of iOS, or the latest? I'm running the latest. But now I can't wait for more new machines.
Tales of the Arabian Nights (TOTAN) comes with the paid version or you can buy it for $0.99 if you have the free version. All the other tables you buy separately and this month you can get a discount if you buy Bride of Pinbot and Medieval Madness together ($4.99 instead of $5.98 separately).
I have the same problem with Facebook. I think I have the free version as well, but purchased all the tables. I don't "use" facebook on a regular basis, and have my account locked up pretty tight, so maybe the app isn't allowed to access my account? It would be nice if it would not appear to be logged in when it isn't. I visited the Farsight web site, and couldn't find any sort of support FAQ, or anything that may help with the issue. I still enjoy the game, and don't really need the facebook integration, but it's just annoying knowing that it isn't working.
Facebook leaderboards weren't working for me at first after I deleted and re-installed the app (to fix the blank icon). But I logged out and back in to Facebook within the game and that fixed it. Did you try that? In any case I look forward to them finally adding Gamecenter leaderboards and achievements.
I finally fixed it by just downloading my full version purchase onto her iPad but still connecting her Facebook account to the scores. So all is well except that she'll need to log in as me to grab updates.
Yes, i have the same problems. I need three tries to instale the update, and now the app starts for five seconds and than it crashes.
Does anyone else have problems where you're playing a game, you put the iPad to sleep for a bit (I think I did it by closing the smart cover, but I may have pressed the power button - not sure) and then when you wake it back up by open the smart cover and you are at the dashboard? App has crashed, it seems. What sucks is you lose any goals you might have accomplished in the game. It doesn't happen every time, but it has happened to me a number of times. I'm scared to close up the iPad mid-game now. I managed to get Barnyard Multiball yesterday, and then I quickly finished the game (let the ball drain several times) rather then putting it to sleep when my train came to its destination, so I wouldn't chance losing that goal!
(Pinball Arcade not running after latest update [DLC] MM / BoPB - Crashes at Splash Screen on Ipad / Ipad 2 Devices running iOS 4.3.x) The official answer for that is: Upgrade to latest iOS. (i was asking via the official facebook site and got that answer). My question if the 4.x versions on Ipad 2 are no longer supported was left unanswered. It seems like that mostly (or only?) Ipad / Ipad 2 Users with OS 4.3.x are affected by this problem. So the only way to fix this (at least the only fix that i know of) is to upgrade your Ipad to iOS 5.1. If you don't want to upgrade, you have to wait and hope that they fix this soon (so do i).
PoPB ? Do you mean BoPB for Bride of Pinbot? (I hate unexplained acronyms. I always have to think about what the heck RBON or TOTAN are supposed to be. Is it that much harder to type "Ripley's" or "Arabian Nights"?)
The TPA tables graphics on the new iPad looks clean! but still the diverter on Ripleys table still missing.... I still don't know whether they realize or not..
So the pattern still holds: WiFi: no mini-UI problem 4G: mini-UI problem (At least for Verizon. No AT&T users have reported in.) I guess we know what model FarSight tested the fix on.... And if you have an AT&T 4G unit, please post whether you have the problem too.
What diverter is missing? Is it functioning as if the diverter is there, or is it not functioning either? I'm not super familiar with the real machine I've only seen it a few times and that was a while ago.
Thanks for the info. I know it's kind of minor, but what's up,with the HUGE delay after a Medieval Madness game ends? I want to restart right away, but seems like it takes a minute plus to figure out the game is over and show the final score.
