according to their FB page, it is indeed because they didn't have a new iPad to test it on.

Sorry, but that's a pretty lame excuse. Lame that they didn't have one, and even more lame that they didn't delay the release until they could get one.

Extremely unprofessional. Kind of ironic that their name is Farsight Studios.

    Fair enough.

Except, what about the above mentioned issue (on ToM) with both the iPad 2 and the original iPad?

Btw, I have not upgraded to 5.1 yet. These problems are in 5.0.1.

    Also btw...

    I'm not hating at all.

The problem is not game breaking.

This game is AWESOME. And the improved graphics look really good.

I'm just giving everyone the heads up, so that all can make an informed decision.

Wow really? I'm surprised (referring to them not having a new iPad). Or perhaps they're based overseas and can't get one as easily? Sorry, I'm not following this too closely so I don't know. There isn't a month long waiting list here in the US as there was with the iPad 2.

I guess it depends on how you build your product. My new game (unreleased) ran great on the new iPad without any help from me. Strange.

That's funny. I don't wanna "pile-on" but that made me laugh.

Calm yourself bruab, mistakes happen. Farsight is about 6 people not a giant company by any means.

Update looks awesome on my 4S, also having the glitch on TOM with missing info next to the flippers, Farsight said on FB they will fix in next update.

    Eagerly awaiting for DLC tables.

They submitted the update before the new iPad was out.

It doesn't take more than one person to do quality work.

In fact, it gets harder when more people are involved.

Even if it was already submitted, there was plenty of time to get an iPad 3 and test on it and at least put up the "Don't download if you have an iPad 3" warning that they have up now.

It certainly looks like they didn't, and put up the warning only after people downloaded it and got burned.

It looks so much better on the iPad 2 now....bummer about the iPad 3 problems, but they're working hard to get the next update submitted (they said it should be ready by tomorrow or Friday at the latest, then they're going to try hard to have apple expedite it). This update will add the next two DLC tables as well, so that's great news.

I think they've just really got their hands really full right now with the 3360/PS3/Vita launches (we're lucky we got the iOS app first too). You can tell by their updates (and their posts over on their forum) that they're working around the clock and busting their humps, so we should cut them some slack. These guys are really passionate about pinball and the work they're doing for the pinball scene is phenomenal.

And it gets harder still when you're trying to develop for eight platforms running on hundreds of devices. And iOS is not a platform they have much experience with yet. Cut them a little slack that they broke their game on one brand new device for a few days.

Exactly. They've already acknowledged that a fix will be available shortly too, so as long as Apple approves it quickly then everything will be just grand in a very short amount of time....and the best part is the new tables are coming in the update too. Can't wait to play Medieval Madness :)

I booked my iPad the day that it got released here in Scandinavia - and there is still 1-2 weeks delivery time left. And we are wave 2.

So cut them some slack - hard to test on something that you might not be able to get. And Apple only gives very selected devs access to new hardware prior to the rest of us.

the texture-update is really nice, but I really hope they improve the shitty leaderboards soon, they are horrible and I just had a crash when trying to scroll through the list

    greetings

I will cut them some slack but at the end of the day theyre the ones who announced the app and mentioned the ambitious 'we plan on releasing 2 tables every month...' etc.

Anyway it sounds from the latest update that the next update should include the extra table.

Again i love the app, of course i want more and more tables so when they suggested more would be coming soon/frequently then i'll obviously be disappointed when that doesnt happen.

I need new tables. Only playing the fantasic Theatre of Magic. The other tables are boring.
Great, that two of my favourite tables are coming with the next update.I love Medieval Madness and Bride of Pinbot. Got an original Bride of Pinbot Translite hanging at the wall of my bedroom.
An Eight Ball Deluxe Backglass at the wall of my living room. Was very difficult to convince my wife about the pinball art.

I believe this was discussed in the past, and nowhere is anyone able to find where they said they'd release *2* new machines every month, only that they'd release new machines every month. Or as they say it 'Each month, regular updates will add...'. And yeah they are a little behind on the first DLC, but it's not that far behind.

To people whining about the update/ and or lack of update for ipad and whining about this company.

Take a step back from your life and look at what's going on around the world. If people can withstand the amount of torture through war, famine, and death you can surely wait another week for a small update.

FFS people, come on. They're developing for a lot of platforms and shit happens. They've been in constant contact with their userbase since day one. You'll get your update, relax.

Well said, people need a reality check in this place. If an update for a game is all they have to worry about, they live a simple life indeed and I'm extremely jealous.
