I think Gerald can use an extra level where he can sit in a bird house watch tv or practise some cool pecking or kungfu moves for his next flight. This can be added in-between levels to add on to Gerald's skills and powers. After he complete learning one awesome skill, he can gain some extra points for the owner and this extra points can be redeemed in a shop selling those power-ups where they can be used in the game. I will RT when I get back from work.

Gerald's always struck me as a pretty happy bird, but I wonder if maybe he spends his off days getting angry and helping out some friends with some evil pig thieves. Some of these birds may then spend their off days soaring with Gerald. Just a thought, but might be a neat bird themed cross promotion. Also following on twitter now.
On his day off Gerald flies around to see which other telephone wires he can launch off of, so we can have more stages in the game ;-) and also other items he can use to reach new heights!
