I'm talking at least one consumable currency, tokens/ad-watching for revives, timers, yada, yada, yada...which, given the popularity of nonogram/picross titles on the App Store, could have easily lined the developers' pockets for all eternity. However, here we are in 2020 with a developer/publisher combo that has faith in our beloved mobile platform and are releasing this super polished, charming game (that was obviously a labor of love) in all of its premium glory, without a single inkling of bullshit F2P trimmings...FOR. 2. MEASLY. DOLLARS. Even if nonograms aren't your thing, but you're curious to see how this separates itself from the general blandness of nonogram games with its unique RPG-lite...ness, just jump in blindly. This isn't a $33 port of a 15 year old game. It's a $2 port of a 6 month old $10 Switch title that's being released simultaneously on Steam and mobile today/tomorrow. If this whole thing isn't worth supporting and celebrating...nothing is. Oh, and for the record...yeah, I'd do these kinds of posts back in the day to hype up games I was given codes for and legitimately enjoyed, but those times are long gone, and I'm posting this having pre-ordered, bought and played the game solely because I too still have faith in this platform and want the developers/Plug In Digital (if they ever see this) to see that they did the right thing by not going the F2P conversion route. I opened the post expecting it to be a freemium grab and came across this gem. When I signed up to Arcade I was worried that I’d lose focus or inclination to buy other games given the backlog of quality titles I’ve got to work through on subscription but unfortunately for my wallet it hasn’t been the case. Enjoying it thus far but it’s the early stages so I’m sure it’ll get way more harder later. Never played a game of this genre before but first impression is that it’s very charming and quite polished. Still getting used to the gameplay, especially where to use the crosses. But the best part about the game is it’s simplistic nature. No BS. Pure puzzle gameplay with light RPG thrown on the sides. P.S. Man those timed challenges barely give you room to breathe. metalcasket likes this. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 833 398 63 Male 95% leisure. Pixel Puzzle Collection was the first nonogram game I actually played for... longer than one level... and made it to something close to 80%! I recently updated my phone and set it as a new device.
