I need a bit of feedback. I want to run a number of contests on games like pianoTap which requires quick reflexes and games like 2048v2 which require a level of skill. To start I want to be able to offer prizes of $100 to $1,000USD for top scores. I want the games to be fair for all players. The first set of contests lacked built in security and were hacked which is mainly our fault and I want to build the upcoming games with the intension of securing the scores and the some of the popular games can be use for a few competitions. So let me hear you thoughts.
Look I appreciate you playing and testing the back end of the games. But I want to see you play the game like the other players without fixing your score. To have this happen I need to do a bit of work. In the meantime the gig is up, we both know that your scores are questionable on all games because of 2048v2 and 3DOOOTS where it can be shown that mathematically those scores were not possible. So we all have to conclude you changed it at your end and had that score posted to the Game Center. But you are not the only one and you won't be the last to try and hack the games. So we have to do a bit of work at our end to quickly uncover a score change so that all the players who play these games for the fun of competing are doing so without some players having an unfair advantage. Why don't you just do like the others and play using your game skill sets instead of you computer programming skill sets. I hope to see you again but the next time you do this we will not be amused.
Sadly when contest have money involved, it does bring out folks who want to win in any way possible, I don't know why you are even letting this person off the hook...report him. Namely since you are the developer and can prove the facts. I don't see this any differently in the real world when someone is caught...why should it exist here??
I agree, he should be banned. He makes these competitions pointless for those of us who like to compete FAIRLY. Not only did he cheat by posting a ridiculously high fake score in 1 competition, he did it in ALL 3 of the dev's comps thats been running concurrently the last few days. There should be no safe haven for cheaters here at Touch Arcade. If it can be proven that they cheated they should be instantly banned. Grandma always said "Once a cheater always a cheater!"
You can find the people who's scores will not be included and why they will not be included in this competition or other competitions held by us. I hope the list will not be too long.
